19/03/2026: Excellent experience, I go there often for work. The stars are well-deserved for the overall excellent value. Furthermore, the location is delightful, with views of the lake from huge windows. It feels more like a lunch break than a prelude to a lovely weekend getaway, or a vacation on the water. The staff deserves special mention for their kindness and professionalism. I live far away, otherwise I would definitely go there for my private dinners too.

15/03/2026: Very good and very large pizza! Two sizes available: regular and large (for very large stomachs!). Next time, I'll be back for the fish main course.

04/01/2026: Beautiful location with a lake view, embarrassing service. After waiting—consciously—for a table for lunch, we order two glasses of wine, a pumpkin risotto, and a burrata. The dishes are literally "thrown" on the table by a waiter who doesn't even know who's supposed to serve them. I report the incident to the cashier, and the response is: "Unfortunately, it's crowded." As if rudeness were an inevitable consequence of the crowds. Final bill: about €60. We say our goodbyes politely, but the waiter, clearly annoyed, doesn't even return our greeting. The quality-to-service ratio is decidedly unacceptable. In places this touristy, you also pay for politeness, which here is completely absent.

03/01/2026: On our way to the hotel, Google Maps suggested taking a ferry to shorten our ETA by 1.5 hours. It turned out to be an excellent choice coming from Menaggio, we arrived by ferry just 100–200 metres from the hotel. During our road trip through Italy, we decided to spend New Year’s Eve in Bellagio and chose Hotel Du Lac. It was an excellent decision. Starting with the view from our room (room 44), which was absolutely outstanding—waking up in bed, we could admire the beautiful lake directly through the windows. The room had a small balcony, just big enough for two people to sit comfortably and enjoy the view with a drink. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the welcome gift for our little dog, which we truly appreciated. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very tasty and served in a glass-covered terrace with a spectacular lake view, no matter where you choose to sit. The hotel also has a bar downstairs, which is equally outstanding. We highly recommend this hotel. The only minor downside possibly due to the New Year period—was that the bar closed quite early, although everything else in the city was also closed. One negative aspect worth mentioning is that the hotel uses a very old-fashioned physical key system. This would not be an issue if the electricity could remain on when leaving the room; however, the power is controlled by a key holder attached to the room key, which can be inconvenient. Another important thing to keep in mind if you are arriving by car: you will be assigned a parking space in a garage that is very steep at the entrance and extremely narrow inside. The width of the garage gate is 2.34 metres (according to iPhone Measuring App). Our car is 2.03 metres wide with the mirrors open, so I strongly recommend arriving with as small a car as possible, as manoeuvring into the parking space can take some time. Overall, we spent an amazing New Year’s Eve and a wonderful stay at the hotel. We highly recommend it and will definitely return. The hotel was truly worth the money and that is exactly what we value.

21/03/2026: What can I say? Excellent is an understatement. The pizza is indescribable, I love it. We come here for special occasions, and it's always a sure thing. Friendly staff, a truly beautiful atmosphere, and excellent food.

15/03/2026: Been here for lunch 10 times betweeny Italy trips. Best gluten free best in Italy IMO and I ate a lot of GF pizza. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Prices are good too.

17/03/2026: A very cozy and authentic place. They have an amazing selection of pizzas - it was hard for me to pick just one :) . I had the Nathalie pizza. It was incredible! I don't think I'll ever forget it.

10/03/2026: Wide selection of gourmet pizzas, and therefore quite expensive. The pizzas are good; I really enjoyed my Harmony, even though the crust was slightly burned, while my wife found the ricotta on her pizza unpleasant (sour), so much so that she discarded it. The gluten-free pizza was too dry and biscuity. We're not entirely satisfied with the service; it was Saturday night, but 20 minutes before we could order and 20 minutes for five pizzas is perhaps a bit long, considering that people who arrived later were served before us. Not to mention the guy, perhaps his first time there, who almost spilled my beer and cleared the table while a fellow diner still had a slice of pizza in his hand. In conclusion, the pizzas are good, but the service could be improved.

04/01/2026: A great spot for a quick lunch before continuing on to Balcone d'Italia (about another 2-3 minutes by car), with convenient and ample outdoor parking. The menu is typical mountain fare with some Valtellina influences. The restaurant is all wood and quaint, with beautiful windows. The dishes are well-portioned and generally well-balanced (we weren't crazy about the pizzoccheri, though, nor the pear and chocolate cake). The welcome and treatment of some of the wait staff (I'm especially referring to the lady with very short hair) definitely need improvement. She was completely indifferent to helping us open the front door despite seeing us with a stroller, and was too hasty both in seating us and taking our order (just to ask for a drink, between one word and another she left the table, leaving us alone without being able to complete our order, so much so that we had to turn to another colleague of hers 😅). Prices are definitely fair.

11/03/2026: A welcoming atmosphere and quality products. The schiacciata sarda with loin, sheep's milk gorgonzola, and honey is a must-try: an explosion of flavors! Special mention goes to the crispy carasau bread and the well-cooked Argentine Angus steak. A great find!

14/03/2026: A great find in the heart of como. Bar Giuliani has a very pleasant and well - kept atmosphere, perfect for quality of their offerings- from coffee to aperitivo a local staple that never disappoints. Highly recommend!.

03/03/2026: A truly delightful spot by the lake...the food is fantastic, I had pasta and red wine and it was delicious...the place is clean and stylish...the staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly...I especially want to thank Mr. Jordan for his attention, care and professionalism :) I will definitely visit again when I go to Como and I highly recommend it to everyone :)

31/10/2025: A quaint osteria in a beautiful, quiet village. The staff is kind and very friendly. The bill may be a little high, but the quality of the food makes up for it! Everything was very flavorful and tasty. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

25/10/2025: Excellent osteria in a beautiful village on the Italian-Swiss border. The service was a bit disorganized, but the food was truly excellent. The bill was a bit high, considering we ordered the Fai Te chef's appetizer, which was nothing more than a series of appetizer dishes, each at full price, not a fixed-price appetizer. We weren't told this and only found out when we got the bill. It still deserves 5 stars. I recommend going early, as the sun sets quite quickly.

25/02/2026: Small tavern with just a few tables, so it can get very chaotic when full. The pizzoccheri are really good, as are the sciatt, very simple, home-made dishes. Excellent value for money.

08/02/2026: The cover charge was expensive, three euros, and they didn't even bring us bread. It was a steep bill for what we ate, especially considering the simple atmosphere and the fact that it's on Alpe Grande.
