20/06/2026: Fabulous hotel in prime location, swimming pool excellent, restaurant food very nice, breakfast although always the same the standard was high. We were lucky to be in the annex with a small terrance to enjoy the view. I would recommend this hotel.

07/08/2026: We had 14 wonderful days at the La Milanesa apartment building. While the accommodation is quite rustic, it's also clean and well-maintained. The price-performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. Since our last visit, a pool has been added to the lovely grounds – a wonderful addition for all guests. The hosts are very friendly and take excellent care of the historic property and its grounds. However, our holiday experience was somewhat marred by a Dutch family who occupied three apartments for the entire duration of our stay. They descended like locusts and took over the entire complex as if it were their own property. They prevented us from both falling asleep and sleeping in. The particular highlight was their rude behavior upon departure: Starting around 6 a.m. – the day before our own departure – there was about an hour of deafening noise and loud farewell honking (!). If those people are reading this: Shame on you for your inconsiderateness. As a host, you should really ask yourself whether you want such guests. Sometimes it would be appropriate to bang your fist on the table and also think about the other, considerate guests.

17/07/2026: A dreamlike, peaceful location nestled between the mountains and the river, with a lovely outdoor area and pool for holiday apartment guests. Clean and child-friendly, though the apartments themselves are somewhat dated. A pleasant, shady path leads directly along the river to the beach. The uphill climb is strenuous.

06/08/2026: It was absolutely fantastic. We had the roast beef and the truffle pasta. It was a delight. Great atmosphere and very attentive, friendly service. We highly recommend it!

14/08/2026: We were lucky that it was dry. The food was fresh, delicious, and served quickly.

09/08/2026: We've been there twice in two weeks! We've had pizza each time, and it's always very good. Parking is available in front or near the port, a 5-minute walk away (towards the shopping center). The waitresses are friendly and helpful, reservations recommended!

19/09/2025: September 18, 2025. I gave a mixed tray of biscotti and Baci di Dama (non-vegan) as a gift, and the response was, "... they were super super super good.... quality shortcrust pastry." So happy I chose them. December 21, 2024, we opened the SAVOIARDI: so good. I really like their Brescian biscuit. March 1, 2023, I tried the "Desideri" (Desideri), so good. February 28, 2023, I had the single-serving Sicilian Cassata: I loved it. The new pastry chef FRANCESCO arrived on October 18, 2022, bringing with him some very good creations, including the 7 Veli (7-veil) biscuit. October 25, 2022, I had the "7 Veli" (7 Veli). It's a little smaller than a truffle ice cream and costs €5, but I think it's a treat worth treating yourself to: I really enjoyed it. I love their coffee made with their zabaglione and topped with their whipped cream. Now, for breakfast in the morning, it's almost the only place I go: coffee, a brioche with Garzoni cream, and freshly squeezed juice. Their homemade chocolates with their zabaglione are also delicious.

21/07/2026: Dinner for three. We ordered two sciatt and two pizzoccheri (both dishes require a reservation for at least two portions and are prepared freshly). At the end of the meal, we were satisfied with the quality of the food (both dishes were excellent), the filling portions, and finally the prices, which were finally fair (in Aprica, you pay €15-16 for tiny plates of sciatt and pizzoccheri). We didn't try dessert, but next time we definitely will.

05/06/2026: My partner and I stayed one night at this hotel. The building is dated, but after speaking with the owners, they told me they're renovating it. The room is large and the mattress comfortable. The bathroom is a decent size, but the shower is tiny and not the most comfortable. The highlight is the view of the lake, which includes Monte Isola. It's fantastic! The walls are thin, and you can hear the neighbors quite a bit, but at night it's incredibly quiet. I recommend it, especially for the wonderful view. The port where the ferry to Monte Isola departs is directly opposite, and you can walk there.

27/04/2026: I stayed at the Hotel Aquila in Sulzano over the weekend of April 24, 25, and 26, 2026, with my partner, and the clearest feeling I take away is that of time suspended. A place far from the hustle and bustle, essential and unadorned, as if someone had the kindness to stop the clock in the 1970s and leave it there, intact, in no rush to leave. The hotel possesses that rare quality that cannot be bought or manufactured: memory. Entering it feels like returning to a simpler, more authentic idea of ​​hospitality. No excess, no posturing. Just a reassuring sobriety and a coherence that wins you over. Everything speaks softly, yet with precision. The cleanliness, above all, is impeccable: attentive, scrupulous, almost thoughtful. Everywhere you look, you sense the attention to detail, that quiet care that doesn't demand applause but makes guests feel truly welcomed. And then there's the park, a beautiful green expanse that accompanies your stay with unexpected sweetness, like a quiet respite within an already marvelous landscape. The location is simply fantastic for those who want to experience Lake Iseo and easily board the various ferries. It's one of those places where the journey never truly begins far away, because the lake is already there, present, close by, almost within sight of your room. Special credit also goes to the staff: welcoming, kind, and attentive to guests' needs. You can sense a genuine, unpretentious helpfulness, which makes your stay even more pleasant and human. In short, the Hotel Aquila in Sulzano is a place that doesn't chase time: it preserves it. And that's precisely why it lingers in your memory. Invoice reference no. 43
