27/04/2026: I stayed at the Hotel Aquila in Sulzano over the weekend of April 24, 25, and 26, 2026, with my partner, and the clearest feeling I take away is that of time suspended. A place far from the hustle and bustle, essential and unadorned, as if someone had the kindness to stop the clock in the 1970s and leave it there, intact, in no rush to leave. The hotel possesses that rare quality that cannot be bought or manufactured: memory. Entering it feels like returning to a simpler, more authentic idea of ​​hospitality. No excess, no posturing. Just a reassuring sobriety and a coherence that wins you over. Everything speaks softly, yet with precision. The cleanliness, above all, is impeccable: attentive, scrupulous, almost thoughtful. Everywhere you look, you sense the attention to detail, that quiet care that doesn't demand applause but makes guests feel truly welcomed. And then there's the park, a beautiful green expanse that accompanies your stay with unexpected sweetness, like a quiet respite within an already marvelous landscape. The location is simply fantastic for those who want to experience Lake Iseo and easily board the various ferries. It's one of those places where the journey never truly begins far away, because the lake is already there, present, close by, almost within sight of your room. Special credit also goes to the staff: welcoming, kind, and attentive to guests' needs. You can sense a genuine, unpretentious helpfulness, which makes your stay even more pleasant and human. 25/09/2025: The treatment we received from the refuge manager was appalling. After warning us that we would be late for dinner due to an accident on the ring road that blocked the roads for four hours, we unfortunately arrived at midnight. The refuge had closed its doors, and obviously we were not given anything for dinner. We spent the night in the freezing winter bivouac. The next morning, they gave us four slices of toast for breakfast and that was it, and they even charged us as if we had slept in a refuge. This is the first time I've experienced such treatment in so many refuges I've visited. I strongly advise against staying here, even though the refuge and the surrounding area are very beautiful.

19/09/2025: This refuge, structured like a large cabin, has a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The staff and managers are kind and welcoming. The dinner and room are excellent! We'll definitely return, even if just for lunch!

23/05/2026: We went for lunch on Saturday at the recommendation of my uncle and aunt, who had been there several times. The ladies were kind, the lunch was good, and the service was quick. When it came time to get the bill, I noticed the owner was adding up a lot of items. I asked him why, since on Saturdays, as I knew, the first and second courses cost €16, plus drinks and coffee. He replied that the business lunch was Monday through Friday. I replied that my uncle and aunt had been there the previous Saturday, had eaten more or less the same things, except for one first course, and had paid €16 each, plus drinks and coffee. He then replied that I should have let him know in advance. I was shocked. We'll be in Borno until October, and he's lost customers because of an arrogant attitude I don't understand. A little kindness, a little accommodation, would have been enough... What a shame!

16/05/2026: Four of us went for a business lunch on Friday the 15th. Our experience was very negative, as we ate three undercooked risottos and a tagliatelle all'arrabbiata with sauce from a jar of a well-known pasta brand. Furthermore, they charged us separately for four desserts that are usually included in the menu at €6 each. The problem is that they were three fruit salads I ate at a summer camp 40 years ago and a slice of tart that was clearly from a discount store. That said, I highly recommend it.

18/05/2026: A truly charming place, both inside and out. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, always attentive and helpful. My partner and I have been there a few times, mostly for aperitifs, but once for lunch, and we've always had a great time. It's always a pleasure to return. They have several aperitif options, both in terms of quantity and variety. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. They also have a lovely dessert bar. Definitely worth trying. Fair prices. The background music is discreet and pleasant. There's a dedicated parking lot outside that can fit three or four cars, but further out on the side street you can easily find parking if the indoor parking lot is already full.

02/05/2026: We were greeted coldly and pressured to vacate our seats immediately. The wait for service was long. The toast was overly sweet, the pancake was actually a thin cake, and the coffee was non-existent. We didn't find the dishes advertised online. The price was exorbitant for what we ate. Not recommended.

05/10/2025: Five of us had lunch. The place is nice, the food is good, and the staff needs to be replaced immediately. The lady who takes orders is terribly dressed and very rude. She seemed annoyed every time we asked for something. She was incredibly untrue. We asked if the meat was grilled and she said yes, but it was cooked on a griddle. Last but not least, after paying, we thought we'd be offered a liqueur or digestif, but after we had two small grappas, she presented us with the bill for €10, which we promptly paid. I've never had to pay for a liqueur or digestif at the end of a meal, and I go to restaurants all week! Personally, for a reason like that, I won't go back.

10/09/2025: The food is quite vudu, tasteless. The place is ok. When reading the reviews, there were both good and bad. I think the bad ones are written by very demanding people, but I also turned out to be very demanding:)
