01/04/2025: Un bellissimo panorama, ristorante curato anche all'interno. Personale preparato e gestore davvero cortese. Cibo buono: pesce freschissimo, una menzione particolare per le capesante gratinate, fritto misto non unto di totani e gamberi morbidissimi, tiramisù preparato probabilmente la mattina. Prezzo assolutamente adeguato. Non le abbiamo assaggiate ma anche le pizze avevano un ottimo aspetto. Da provare. Do solo 4 stelle solo perché reputo le 5 quella perfezione che non spinge al miglioramento costante.

26/03/2025: RIstorante con pizza, sul lungo lago di Desenzano, offre una vasta scelta di piatti oltre che pizza. Tanti tavoli, ma il servizio è veloce. Piatti buoni e prezzi nella media. Bella la vista del lago.

05/04/2025: Very spacious quadruple room, with double bed and bunk beds, large bathroom and balcony overlooking the main road, spacious and plenty of space to store suitcases, not to be underestimated. Absolutely largest room found in the various hotels visited. Impeccable cleaning service. 10 and praise. Very comfortable beds Rich breakfast especially in the dessert section, excellent pancakes. Decent buffet dinner and served meals, perhaps little choice between first and second courses, ok for us adults but little variety for the children even if on request they prepared schnitzel and chips and omelettes, delicious. Excellent room service by Ferdinando, professional but very friendly. He carries out his work with passion and dedication. Professional owners, a bit cold, did not trust customers or give advice on what there was to do or see. However, the service was impeccable. The structure is a little dated, but the rooms are renovated and accurate. You can feel that the building has a history, the managers have been ski instructors for generations, photos of Alberto Tomba everywhere who stayed here when he trained on the Presena. The strong point is the proximity to everything, super central, pharmacy opposite and a stone's throw from the ski rental (they have an agreement with By Maestri rental) and direct access from the rental to the Valena slope, night skiing twice a week (an experience to be had!) The wellness center didn't impress us but there are many facilities in the surrounding area with the possibility of access for external guests.p

12/11/2024: …mi sono fermata per caso in questo locale!!…di passaggio in questo zona…ho chiesto dove era possibile mangiare lo spiedo fatto bene!!…e mi è stato fatto il nome di questo ristorante poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…in collina!!…in località Gaino!!…è “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…la location si trova in una posizione fantastica!!…pace e tranquillità!!…locale semplice ma veramente intimo e accogliente!!…molto gentile la signora e la ragazza che lavorano in sala!!…dopo avere fatto l’aperitivo ci siamo seduti al tavolo!!…e poi è arrivato lo spiedo!!…con la polenta!!…le patate e insalata mista!!…il tutto accompagnato da acqua e vino rosso!!…poi il sorbetto e a seguire il caffè!!…la signora ha gentilmente offerto il limoncello!!…che chiaramente ho apprezzato molto!!…che dire!!…lo spiedo era veramente eccezionale!!…cotto al punto giusto!!…tutto ben curato!!…come pure i contorni!!…ma che bontà!!…e tornerò sicuramente di nuovo in questa “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…🧑‍🍳🍽️🔝💯‼️

27/03/2025: The owner and his wife of the restaurant treated me very warmly. They said I was the first Asian customer and the first Taiwanese customer. If I hadn’t been accompanied with my Italian friend, I probably wouldn’t have dared to walk into the restaurant because I couldn’t understand the Italian menu. When I walked into the restaurant, I was deeply attracted by the wide variety of wine bottles on the wall. I felt that their restaurant decoration was very warm. As for the food, I was able to enjoy fresh and delicious meals, which allowed me to truly enjoy Italian cuisine. I am from Taiwan, and I highly recommend my Taiwanese people to visit this restaurant and accept the hospitality of the owner and his wife if they come to Brescia.

21/03/2025: excellent variety of wines but very expensive platters and quantities for birds! too expensive... if you're hungry first come and eat a pizza then come and drink wine

18/02/2025: Naturally debatable given that taste is subjective, but personally I think that here you can eat one of the best pizzas ever. The friendliness of the staff is at the highest levels as is the comfort of the environment. Very large rooms and good space between one table and another. Even if it's full, the staff is always helpful and courteous and the service is quick and precise. Compliments!!!

18/02/2025: Welcoming, courtesy, kindness and excellent food...fabulous pizzas to my taste...the only small flaw is that they don't offer you a drop at the end of the bill like they do in many other places. For the rest I recommend it. Good.

22/02/2025: I have been going to this restaurant for years now and I must say that every dish I order is of the highest quality, from pizza to meat or first courses they are all really good, you can tell if they only use first choice ingredients, the kind and professional staff are always on point and always ready to please us, a modern, well-kept and very clean environment, a well-deserved 5 stars, I highly recommend this restaurant to those who love quality and pay attention to detail, oh I forgot, it is one of the very rare restaurants where even the coffee is good!

11/03/2025: Refined, modern place with a crazy style... the soft lights, the background music are the right touch to make the location even more fascinating. We ordered larded snails and tartare with bagòs as starters, both excellent. But the real gem was the pizza with rice flour dough (light and highly digestible) with cheese and pepper plus scampi... unique and well-balanced flavours. The desserts are also good, although "I wanted to be a rocher" it is really too sweet for my tastes. Bottom line: classy venue, friendly service and excellent food. Prices above average, but justified by the quality of the raw materials.

05/01/2025: Lovely restaurant. We came for lunch and despite the summer heat, the outside area under the canopy was perfect for enjoying the good weather and the breeze that was blowing. The restaurant allows dogs and they even gave us a bowl for water. Very kind and helpful staff. Another plus is that the tables are well distributed and you are comfortably "wide". For the menu we took: - penne all'arrabbiata (off the menu), bigoli with truffles and local cheese (tombea); - fried lake perch x2 (very light breading, recommended); - baked potatoes as a side dish; Truly a beautiful place! The most important thing: the kitten was quietly cuddled 🐱

04/10/2024: Wir haben das Restaurant in diesem Urlaub zweimal besucht, einmal mit Familie und Kind, einmal als Paar, und waren beide Male vollauf zufrieden. Besonders das Trüffelmenü beim zweiten Besuch war fantastisch und hatte fast schon Sterneniveau: fünf Gänge, alle von hoher Qualität, gut abgestimmt und auf den Punkt genau am Tisch. Gerne hätten wir auch die vielversprechende Weinbegleitung genommen, aber mein Mann musste fahren. Nächstes Jahr garantiert wieder!

11/04/2025: The hotel is in the center of Brescia in a historic building with a large paid car park, it is a pastoral center and therefore a religious institution. It is also a conference center with large rooms. The breakfast is excellent, but the rooms are dated, bathrooms with few supports, they provide soap attached to the wall, but there is nothing for the bidet and the sink dispenser is only on the side of one (we had two sinks). It is impossible to close the window shutters and the curtains are not opaque so light comes in even at night. I asked for a late check-out, but the receptionist told me that I had to pay for another full day even though I was leaving in the early afternoon. In short, a poor three-star hotel passed off as a unique experience!

16/03/2025: There were a lot of people and we waited a bit to eat. The service staff was under pressure and something can be improved. But we were satisfied.

15/03/2025: Very nice and easy place, both the room with the open kitchen and the "little houses" in the entrance hall, if you are looking for more tranquility. All-you-can-it Chinese menu and sushi. The fifth star is certainly all for the manager, really kind and attentive. Recommended for me!

05/04/2025: Yes, you eat well, you eat a lot, you spend little. What more could you want? Truly particular location, a mix between a museum and an antiques market. Fast and friendly service, very nice owner. Absolutely recommended.
