19/11/2025: We spent one night nearby in Menaggio. The hotel recommended this restaurant to us. We were also allowed to use the shuttle service (pick-up and drop-off to/from the hotel) free of charge. So we treated ourselves to two fantastic, different set menus, including drinks. It was a feast! There's nothing more to say – simply delicious. Right at the beginning, even before ordering, we were served fresh, warm bread straight from the oven. After dessert, we were presented with a whole bottle each of Thymicello and the house Amaro! We could drink as much as we wanted – free of charge. Seriously – where else do you find that? It's incredible. And yes, you can't drink the whole bottle – obviously, but that's not the point. The gesture and the trust shown are amazing! The service was also very friendly, efficient, and attentive, just like in a Michelin-starred restaurant! It couldn't have been better, and it didn't need to be. A definite recommendation.

30/10/2025: Passing through with friends, we enjoyed this restaurant and ordered the tasting menu, which was very generous. We had a wonderful meal; the food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the view of the lake was lovely. We highly recommend it.

20/01/2026: While the food quality, ambiance, and service are excellent, I consider the quantity to be insufficient, especially considering the increase in the set menu price of €17 (see the retouched photo, but the actual amount received is correct). Luckily, there's bread... even the first course isn't overdone, and we probably won't be back.

02/12/2025: After about seven years I returned to Livigno and unfortunately I am not at all satisfied with both Mottolina and Carosella. The slopes are absolutely not maintained during the day, perhaps all the slopes that are currently operating make snow (even though there is no need for snow there and they could rather make snow on those where there is no snow) so it is very unpleasant to ski on them and I saw several people get injured (e.g. at the finish line where there is a narrowing, they made snow all day). What fascinates me the most is that they have the cannons on all day even when the wind blows the snow off the slopes. Even though there is enough snow on some slopes, the lifts do not open. I would not expect that from such a ski resort. Overall, a disappointment and given the high prices, I have absolutely no reason to return here.

03/01/2026: A guaranteed great place to eat bruschetta in Desenzano, with truly friendly service and a very welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it for brunch, but it's also great for other times of the day, and from there you can take a stroll to Rivoltella and the lakeside. NOSE's initiatives regarding the rewards you can receive for every meal you eat there are really cool. The price is slightly above average, as a bruschetta won't fill you up if you're quite hungry, but they still offer great recommendations and can create special menus. Kudos to you for the idea! :)

25/12/2025: The food is homemade, and I like the authentic, intense, and balanced flavor. The restaurant has a small menu, but that helps the quality. It's better to offer less and make it taste better. The food isn't cheap, but it's worth the price. The interior is rather rustic and natural. You can see the old stone wall very nicely. I like that, but if someone is looking for a trendy restaurant, this isn't the place for them.

18/01/2026: We reached Botinero easily by car; parking in front of the restaurant was really convenient. Upon entry, we were greeted immediately and seated on the elegant and well-furnished outdoor terrace with a few tables, a piano bar, and sofas. We began with an entrée of cheese mousse with salmon and chips, accompanied by a glass of prosecco. Next, we enjoyed a beef tartare with truffles, paired with a bottle of Masi Campofiorin. For main courses, we chose fillet steak, ribeye steak, and El Tractor, all top-quality Argentinian meats, cooked to perfection and truly tender and flavorful. To finish, we ordered panna cotta and tiramisu, accompanied by some bitters, and to finish, butter pastries and meringues, included in the cover charge. The service was impeccable: attentive and meticulous, but never intrusive. Overall, the dinner was excellent, with top-quality meat and top-notch service. The price was in line with the quality, recommended for a special evening.

18/01/2026: Widely regarded by locals as the best place to eat in Tirano, and it absolutely lives up to expectations. The food is a delicious experience and insight into Northern Italian cuisine. The serving sizes are enormous, and the value for money is incredible. Sitting in what feels like a modern cave is just the cherry on top. Do yourself a favour and book a seat so you don't miss out.

18/01/2026: Excellent restaurant! Truly generous portions; we ordered a tasting menu without a main course and one with a main course, and yet we barely made it to dessert. We recommend sharing. Price for two glasses of wine, water, and two tasting menus: €90. The guy who served us was really kind.

07/01/2026: After years of frequenting the restaurant and sharing positive word of mouth with friends, relatives, and acquaintances, I regretfully find myself leaving a two-star review based solely on my personal experience. We're from Milan and had booked lunch at 12:00 PM for a group consisting of a mother, father, a 1-year-old, two 4-year-olds, a grandmother, an uncle, and an aunt. When we made our phone reservation, at their request, we specified that the 1-year-old would not be eating, as we would be bringing his own food. We simply asked for a high chair so he wouldn't be in a stroller. We were informed of the cancellation policy, which requires a cancellation fee within 12 hours (so, by midnight for a 12:00 PM lunch). That same morning, at 9:00 AM, I (the mother) suddenly fell ill with gastroenteritis and couldn't leave the house. The 1-year-old, still breastfed, had to stay with me. The rest of the group showed up at the restaurant as usual for lunch. The situation was explained upon arrival, without any comment. The group ordered five pizzas, four desserts, drinks, and coffee. The four-year-olds shared a Margherita. They also requested a takeout pizza, but it was denied. The total bill was €180. The table was reserved until 1:30 PM, but at 1 PM, the table was cleared and the bill was brought. Once we left the restaurant, we received an email charging us €30 for a no-show for two people: the sick mother and the one-year-old child who, as specified during the reservation, would not eat anything. We called to ask for an explanation, and the owner, very upset, told us things like he wasn't interested in the child's age and that the absence was considered as that of an adult, claiming we should have given advance notice. I understand and respect cancellation policies, but in this case, it seemed like the real and unforeseeable situation wasn't taken into account, nor the fact that the child wouldn't be able to enjoy the meal. The attitude I encountered during the phone call left me very disappointed. This was my personal experience. As for the food, I found it to be decent, but the service and handling of the situation made me feel unwelcome as a customer. For this reason, I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, especially to families with small children.

04/01/2026: Super light and crispy pizza dough, unique and delicious toppings made with excellent ingredients. One of our favorites is the one with pesto ice cream... Whenever we're in the area, we try to eat pizza here because it's so good.
