27/10/2025: I've known this place since I was a boy, and it's always been a success, both for the ambiance and the quality. The food is excellent, accompanied by good wine in front of a roaring fireplace. The staff are friendly and the service excellent. Reservations are recommended, especially in the winter. Seating is limited, even though there is plenty of space, but here, quality, not quantity, is paramount. The parking lot outside is open until 4 p.m., with a few games for children and a stunning view of Lake Maggiore that's truly worth it. The road to get there is a bit rough, so take it slowly, with its typical hairpin bends and narrow streets, but it's manageable.

10/08/2025: Highly recommended, we went for dinner with friends, we ordered a pinsa alla margherita, we were mistakenly brought a cacio e pepe (which by mistake we did not recognize as such and we also ate the dish) the very kind waitress came back apologizing for having brought us the wrong pinsa not only bringing us the correct one but also telling us that it had been complimentary from the chef, it was a wonderful dinner and the recommended wine was excellent ... We will be back

30/06/2025: I celebrated a birthday again What can I say, the Nozzas are not only good and that would be enough to come back, but they are always kind and smiling and available to the various requests made. Excellent food, a well-kept aperitif and an excellent risotto with sausage, as well as the wine proposed for the party Careful, elegant environment. A special thank you for making the evening special I recommend it

25/10/2025: When my friend and I were staying in Desenzano in June, Al Fattore quickly became our go-to for dinner. It stood out amoungst the other more generic and tourist-trappy restaurants in the area. The staff were very friendly, efficient and flexible, which coupled with delicious and very well priced food and drinks (the €5 Aperol was the favourite) made for a great experience. They were very accomodating even when busy and never rushed us for a clear table, we stayed until closing a few times. Enjoyed ourselves very much, and we hope to be back! Thankyou!

06/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and was deeply impressed: the welcome was extremely warm and professional, the staff attentive and helpful without ever being intrusive. The elegant setting, meticulously maintained, creates a relaxing and refined atmosphere. The cuisine is simply excellent: each dish is prepared with quality ingredients, presented with great care, and rich in authentic flavors. A gastronomic experience that exceeds expectations and that I highly recommend to anyone seeking taste, quality, and hospitality.

16/07/2025: First time...a unique experience for its professionalism, courtesy, quality, and variety. A welcoming, relaxing atmosphere with background music. The tasting menu was unrivaled in terms of value for money. Four courses plus amuse-bouche and pre-dessert. The amuse-bouche was incredible, with small details, but each contained 4-5 ingredients, all expertly blended. Tomato and basil ice cream: a surprise on the palate, with its textures and temperatures... Risotto with two Franciacorta wines, 10 euros Pork belly with baby spinach, where every flavor was balanced Pre-dessert with sorbet and two meringues, one Italian-style and the other with salted peanuts And finally: Torta di Rose, made on the spot with Franciacorta zabaglione...I think it was the best I've ever had. What can I say? A place that I believe is UNIQUE among those of this caliber here in the city!

25/09/2025: I took a well-deserved out of office day and, together with my friend “Chef,” we set off on a beautiful hike from the parking lot just below the Campo dei Fiori Observatory up to Forte di Orino — about ten kilometers round trip. On our way back, my friend treated me to lunch at Osteria Irma, and what a treat it was! The whole experience was simply splendid: warm hospitality, genuine courtesy, and dishes that felt both comforting and refined. The fried porcini mushrooms were out of this world — crispy, golden perfection — while the sciatt were an irresistible explosion of flavor that had us smiling with every bite. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the crema catalana sealed the deal: silky, fragrant, and absolutely worthy of praise. Special mention goes to Arianna, the maître, whose kindness made us feel at home, and to the Osteria’s chef, not only talented but also wonderfully friendly. From today on, Osteria Irma officially enters my list of restaurants worth the trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking to combine nature, tradition, and unforgettable food memories.
