06/05/2025: I always have a doubt. Do the 5 stars relate to the best restaurants you've experienced? That is, only one has 5 stars and the others must necessarily be lower? For me it's very simple: 5 stars is where I've had a great time and would return, so "Il Pollino" deserves them all. I was about to go to McDonald's since my usual lunch break restaurant was closed. Then I see "il Pollino" and I say to myself "I'm a big belly, I would say to stop eating rubbish, today let's eat healthy". The place is small and intimate. It is run by an energetic lady who is always smiling and very professional. At lunch they don't show the menu, she tells you how it used to be. I had an excellent amatriciana, a second course of grilled chicken with a drizzle of lemon and a mix of grilled vegetables and potatoes. All very good and homemade. A beautiful discovery. And the service was extremely fast. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area... to try again in the evening for a dinner with friends or with your current partner/wife/girlfriend. Maybe I wouldn't use it for a first date... but who knows! Nice work!

25/05/2025: I came back for the third time since the new management, and each time I tried different dishes because I was always super satisfied! The restaurant is welcoming, the food is of excellent quality and attention to detail. A special round of applause to the waitress, always kind and helpful, and to the cook, really great! I absolutely recommend trying it.

23/05/2025: Ottimo locale, cibo tipico pugliese quindi di gustosa qualità, servizio impeccabile in particolar modo Mauro che ci ha consigliato, per quanto riguarda i vini,e a dir il vero con grande esperienza nel campo, una bevanda a dir poco azzeccatissima!!! Complimenti per il servizio molto qualificato. Ci siamo stati ieri sera io la mia amica e i rispettivi compagni e siamo rimasti contentissimi, quindi se ci fosse stata una stella in piu la metterei tranquillamente!!!!! 22/06/2025: I can't comment on the price of the venue because I was a guest at a wedding, but the venue stood out for its excellent service. The staff went out of their way to satisfy the hundred or so people present. The food arrived on time and was well prepared. The location was beautiful.

05/07/2025: Always a great experience. The fish is fantastic, especially the spaghetti al cartoccio! The desserts are also delicious! For children, the pizza is shaped like a teddy bear! Very large place, also suitable for ceremonies. The staff is always courteous and friendly. We were there for our anniversary and, having found out by chance, they improvised the wishes with a candle on the cake, a really nice thought! Thanks, see you soon!

01/07/2025: I've been there several times for an aperitif with friends. Restaurant, Bar, Tobacconist, Aperitif... a bit of everything but a great mix. The staff is not very friendly, they almost don't even consider you when you want to order and the portions are small. At least there's always parking.

22/06/2025: Very nice place, especially the veranda that is on the canal. Very kind waiters, and the owner comes to ask how things are going. A note of merit to the waitress with glasses and short hair (about coppery) very kind, nice and knows how to advise the customer.

02/06/2025: We have been frequenting this restaurant for a while now and we recommended it for a baptism that took place yesterday! The staff and the owner were very kind and patient in accommodating all our requests! The reserved room was an excellent suggestion to celebrate the event in the best way! They gave us the opportunity to decorate the room as we liked. We really appreciated the menu chosen by the parents of the little girl! Lunch lasted for several hours and no one rushed us, we were welcomed warmly! Thank you for everything

15/06/2025: It was way back in 1998 when I first entered this pizzeria. I still remember that moment: it was love at first bite for a real gem, unique and inimitable. The legendary flat pepper calzone. I didn't go back for years. Who knows why — someone had told me that, after Benito's passing, the management had changed, even if they had kept the sign for image reasons. One of those voices that stay in your head without you knowing why. And instead, tonight, I ended up there by pure chance. And guess who I found, still in his place, behind the counter, in front of the oven? Gaetano. Him! The same hand that, many years ago, kneaded my first calzone. As soon as I took the first bite, it was like going back in time. The same flavor, the same smile on my face. Don't listen to the gossip: go back to Benito's, and prepare to cry... but with joy.

14/06/2025: Extremely rude. Faced with the very simple request to order a pizza on the phone and not via app (I live very close and wanted to avoid going in person and waiting), they made such a fuss that after not even TWO minutes of phone call they hung up on me saying that "they are working". So good job!

21/04/2025: What can I say, we stumbled upon it by chance after visiting the Sanctuary (which we highly recommend) and for convenience (always extremely close to the Sanctuary) and luckily we entered this characteristic restaurant full of history and memories. We were very pleased to discover the quality and types of products offered and after a nice walk it was the ideal place to rest and eat. Discovery within the discovery we met NICO, a unique character who fit perfectly into all this. His kindness, his irony made everything more familiar and close to what we look for to feel good. We recommend this place for all this, oh a piece of advice, when he comes to visit you at the table to order Nico ask if he can bring you the fries..... they don't make them but from there the fun and tasting of the chosen dishes begins. 15/05/2025: A pizzeria / trattoria, like it used to be ...: a welcoming and familiar atmosphere; very good and digestible pizza and: I recommend trying the panzerotti (which are their specialty). I recommend it and I will return, at the first opportunity.
