23/05/2026: Considered the oldest public porticoes in Italy, and perhaps Europe, they date back to at least 1133, at the public initiative of the City Consuls, who established precise rules for their construction. It is a long covered market, approximately 800 meters long, divided into four sectors (one of which, called Sottoripa "the dark one," is semi-hidden and little-known), restored between 1992 and 2004, when the facades of the buildings were restored, by the City of Genoa. Always popular, given their central location—they are opposite the Aquarium—in recent times (summer 2024), unfortunately, there have been incidents of petty crime that threaten to tarnish the fame of this important historical site.

29/01/2026: ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! We waited outside for OVER AN HOUR because they don't take reservations, and they let people pass us by alone because they were putting them at a table with others. They're only open for lunch and only Monday to Friday. Plus, many items on the menu have sold out in the meantime. It's truly frustrating, and then they pass off toast with ragù as Tuscan crostini.
28/01/2026: This restaurant has only a few tables and no reservations are possible. You may find yourself sharing a table with other diners, which isn't everyone's cup of tea. The first courses are decent, but the second courses aren't particularly exciting. Prices are average.

An excellent place for a hearty aperitivo, for groups of all sizes...right in the city center!

27/06/2026: My partner and I went to this restaurant for the second time today. We were already pleasantly surprised the first time. We loved the location and the mascot (that seagull is always there 🤣). The fish was fresh, the service was attentive and friendly, the prices were average, and they even offered us limoncello. We'll be back!
24/06/2026: I spent three days in Spotorno with my mom and we always had lunch here because we absolutely fell in love. The food was excellent, the girls serving were very nice and attentive, especially Michela, who always treated us with kindness and professionalism. All the dishes were truly well-made and delicious. I highly recommend it ❤️

21/05/2026: Beautiful old-style dining room (slipcovers on the chairs, decor...). Lovely terrace, a little removed from the crowds. Prices reflect the quality. The service that day was friendly and efficient (a young man in his forties with a goatee). I'll definitely be back.
It's May and it's already busy... in peak season, it might be different... Being a tourist spot, come by bus; it's more of a novelty, but you'll be more relaxed :+))
16/05/2026: I've eaten at many restaurants, but this one definitely ranks among my best experiences. The dishes are expertly prepared and don't conform to the usual standard fare found in 95% of restaurants. If you're looking for something special, I think you're in the best hands with Marco and his team.

11/10/2025: I was out walking the dogs at Gaiazza and it was getting late, I called and asked if we could eat something... Despite the time and the 4 dogs they told me to go anyway... They were very kind and helpful.. and I ate a delicious plate of trofie with pesto!!!
