15/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome; the servers were lovely and very attentive. Excellent value for money. The pizzas and gnocchi were superb.
10/04/2026: We had the €35 seafood menu. Though not a great seafood lover, I found the appetiser delicious and the sea bream, a little dry, but good enough. Plenty of mussels in the spaghetti. The wine was good and the herb pizza hot and tasty. I thought good value for money. We couldn’t finish the three courses.

09/05/2026: The place is a little dated, but this doesn't affect the quality of the food offered.
12/04/2026: We spent six months in Sanremo, and Maona restaurant became one of our favorite places. We went there very often, sometimes three or four times a week, and we always found the quality to be consistently excellent. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable, and above all, the staff is incredibly kind. They were always very attentive to my wife and me throughout our stay. It's a place I sincerely recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat well at a reasonable price.

09/04/2026: After staying several nights, we found this place, and so glad we did. We ordered the spaghetti with clams, pesto lasagne, pesto gnocchi and four seasons pizza (Quattro stagioni) - these were all delicious and reasonably priced for Portofino. Service was friendly, prompt and they went out of their way to accommodate us to make a table of four. Highly recommend.
28/03/2026: What we got was quite expensive. €18 for a tiny portion of tasteless gnocchi.
And then they automatically added a €12 tip.
Absolutely outrageous, not recommended at all!!

01/02/2026: Disgraceful waiters. They gave you the grated cheese in small quantities and even put very little on it. It was a pain to ask for bread, or they wouldn't bring it to you or they'd stare at you if you asked. The Panigacci were burnt and hard. Tiny portions. Fair prices, but they were based on the portions, which were small. I'll never recommend them again.
30/01/2026: It's my favorite place. A true Ligurian trattoria with home-cooked food.

U Cantu
19/04/2026: We held our wedding at the U Cantu Restaurant in Riva Trigoso, Sestri Levante.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Our guests were all very satisfied.
We thank the entire U Cantu staff, especially Arianna, Patrick, Carmen, Paolo, and the Chef, for the wonderful day.
It was an unforgettable day!

30/04/2026: The restaurant has remained unchanged since the 1980s or so, details a little shabby, but Anna's service is attentive and friendly.
The appetizer with shrimp, scampi, and mollusks was good; the tagliolini with truffle and scampi weren't great... very heavy on truffle sauce and three scampi, two of which were heads.
The raspberry cake was good, and since it was my birthday, Anna found me a pink candle.
26/04/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant for the first time and found traditional Ligurian cuisine.
Heavy dishes, home-cooked food, all topped off by family-run service that made us feel incredibly pampered. We're the ones who made the cake photo, I'm reviewing it, no, I kicked Filippo's ass. The cake looks great, we had a great time.

15/03/2026: The hotel is dated but meticulously maintained. The staff is attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. My group of friends and I had a wonderful time during the national burraco tournament!
05/01/2026: Unlike the first time we stayed, I have to give a negative review.
The room was large with a balcony, but it was cold, despite the staff's intervention to resolve the issue by raising the temperature of the split air conditioning.
The bathroom was cold, making it difficult to shower; the window frame was outdated and let the cold in.
