18/05/2026: The restaurant enjoys a truly beautiful location: it's right on the promenade, practically steps from the sea. The view and atmosphere are truly breathtaking, especially if you choose to eat outside. There are two types of spaces: an outdoor area for al fresco lunch or dinner, and an indoor dining room. Inside, the restaurant isn't very large, and the decor is rather simple, with no special details. However, the atmosphere is still welcoming and charming, making it a comfortable place to be. There's nothing to complain about as to the service: it was fast, and the staff was kind and helpful throughout the dinner. They made us feel at ease. As for the food, I have to be honest: it wasn't bad. We didn't have a bad meal; the dishes were accurate and beautifully presented, but no one made us say "wow!"!!! In short, honest cuisine that gets the job done without leaving any lasting memories. With one notable exception, however: the CREMOSO AL PISTACHIO WITH CACAO CRUMBLE. Now, that was truly exceptional!!! A carefully crafted, balanced dessert, with a distinct pistachio flavor and the perfect contrast of the cocoa crumble. That alone is worth a portion of the review: if I were to return, I'd do it just to have it again. In short: a pleasant place, an excellent seaside location, excellent service, average cuisine, but with a truly standout dessert.

15/03/2026: We just got back, my son's baby pizza had spoiled stracchino cheese; unfortunately, we noticed it about halfway through. If anything happens to them, they'll see me again. The pizzas have a good dough, but they top them with tomato sauce and poor-quality cheeses. Disarmingly slow. In the end, the waiter gave my son a marshmallow (without asking permission from us, who don't give that stuff to our son), so that created a problem because obviously my son wanted it. These are things you shouldn't do, especially if the marshmallow is EXPIRED! (Luckily, we didn't make him eat it.) To conclude (two baby pizzas, buffalo mozzarella and stracchino. Two regular pizzas, marinara and buffalo mozzarella. 1 small water. 1 can of Coke Zero, 40 euros. Very excessive in my opinion. Another nice X for yet another place that survives on people who don't know how to eat.
31/12/2025: Christmas dinner for more than 50 people. A cold appetizer consisting of fish salad that was certainly not fresh but from an industrial can, and two slices of bread. The two first courses were meat ravioli and fish rice, served on the same plate. The second course was a slice of roast beef. The waitress was annoyed that we had a stroller with a sleeping baby in the middle of the tables, and the request at the time of the bill was 55 euros instead of 50 as we had agreed. Even 50 euros would have been excessive considering how much we didn't eat. In my opinion, it was worthy of a nightmare kitchen.

07/03/2026: We've eaten here several times and have always left more than satisfied. The cacio e pepe is excellent, not to mention the carbonara, which is delicious. I personally love their tripe with pecorino cheese and their legendary meatballs. Gregorio is the perfect host with his jokes and contagious charm 😄. And anyway, eating excellent Roman cuisine in Genoa is priceless. Well done 😃

The location, with the rocks on which the structure is built, is very evocative, but the reality of the pizzeria is much less so. The pizza dough is almost saltless, the aftertaste is almost sweet, the wait is decidedly excessive, but above all, if you order a pizza with buffalo mozzarella, you expect mozzarella to be on the pizza! ... four or five white spots on a sea of ​​red-pink, the buffalo must have escaped elsewhere... A final unpleasant note: the restrooms: 1. Toilet paper is provided in the restrooms; there was none in the men's room, and napkins were used in the women's room. 2. The restroom doors must be able to close: the women's room not only doesn't lock from the inside, but it doesn't even stay ajar unless someone holds it shut with their hand.... A fond memory. Gone.

26/04/2026: It was certainly an interesting and, in some ways, enjoyable experience, but honestly, I don't think I'd do it again. Let's start with the location: we're in Portofino, so the setting is undoubtedly evocative. However, the restaurant itself didn't particularly impress me aesthetically, and more importantly, it was cold during dinner. The heating wasn't on, and virtually all the guests were sitting in jackets or sweaters: we never managed to remove our jackets either, which impacted the overall experience. Regarding the cuisine, there's nothing to complain about about the professionalism of chef Mattia Pecis: he introduced himself personally, and his great passion and talent are evident. A young but already highly skilled man, he's the restaurant manager and the mastermind behind the menu. I truly have great respect for him. The tasting menu is interesting, with some truly excellent dishes: especially the Russian salad and the "garden of the vegetable garden," both extraordinary and perfectly executed, in true Cracco style but with a lovely personal touch. Other dishes, however, were more divisive: the "eye" was difficult to appreciate, both in terms of taste and aesthetics, while the bitter orange risotto wasn't particularly well received at the table and was even difficult to finish. Overall, the use of very bitter citrus fruits didn't convince me. A very positive note, however, was the customer service: they were extremely attentive to my lactose intolerance, demonstrating care and professionalism. The service overall was impeccable, with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. The opportunity to tour the kitchen and receive explanations, such as how to dry-age the fish, was also greatly appreciated. One aspect I didn't like was the inability to choose different menus at the table: there were four of us and we were all forced to choose the same tasting menu, despite two options available at different prices. Finally, the price: definitely too high for the overall experience. We spent around €1,100 for four (a €210 tasting menu per person plus wine), and honestly, I don't think it was justified given what we ate. In short: an interesting experience, with its ups and downs, but not compelling enough to want to repeat.

As for the food, it was a true delight: the fisherman's stew was simply sublime, generous, and bursting with flavor. The Milanese veal cutlet was also perfect, cooked to perfection and delicious. And the desserts provided a beautiful ending to the meal. Quality ingredients, generous portions, and a top-notch team. Honestly, there's nothing to criticize. 14/06/2026: Discovered a few years ago during a weekend in Pietra Ligure, following the reviews while searching for a good Ligurian focaccia to enjoy on the beach, I found what has become, for me, the BEST Ligurian focaccia ever. Since then, it's been a regular stop on every vacation to Pietra Ligure. They're so good that, on the day of departure, I always bring some home... just to postpone the goodbye until next year. My favorite? Focaccia with crescenza cheese, simply irresistible. But the truth is, they're all amazing. Also noteworthy are the bread and countless cakes, each one better than the last, made with special flours and top-quality ingredients. Compliments to Simona and all the staff: courtesy and kindness are the hallmarks here, just like the best Ligurian tradition.
07/06/2026: A must-visit! Recommended for its wide selection of pizzas, each one better than the last, excellent ingredients, and all kinds of dough.
