04/03/2026: This was my second time in Rome, and it was the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The food was terrible, and the service was absolutely awful. I ordered a liter of white wine, but they brought me red. The waiter even said I pressed the wrong button, acting like he had no intention of changing it. He only changed it after I told him I ordered white wine. Then, after waiting 15 minutes, the wine still hadn't arrived—obviously on purpose. I had to ask someone else for it before it finally came. This waiter was wearing a silver bracelet on his left wrist and a Skechers T-shirt, and he didn't even come to greet us until we left. He looked like a loser! And they even charged a 4 euro service charge. As for the food, the pizza I ordered tasted like the kind you get in a supermarket—it was awful. The seafood pasta was spoiled and tasted like shit. I advise everyone not to eat at this restaurant. You'll get diarrhea as soon as you get home!

We were greeted with kindness and courtesy by the staff, who explained everything and served us what we asked for. The food was excellent and the prices were average. I highly recommend it.

03/01/2026: For our first dinner of the day in the area, last Sunday we dined at Ciccio alla Capannaccia, a charming country trattoria located near Acquapendente and winner of an episode of Alessandro Borghese's "4 Ristoranti" in 2016. It offers a wide-ranging menu of local cuisine (including several off-menu dishes) using top-quality ingredients. The restaurant is welcoming and the service is very friendly, with the owner, Ciccio, being truly charming. After choosing our wine, an excellent Sangovese Thybris 2023 from Castello di Corbara, we began with pici carbonara with black truffle and pici "alla Ciccio" (mushrooms, sausage, wild fennel, and pecorino cheese), both delicious. We then shared a tender Mangalica pork fillet with baked potatoes. Finally, desserts included a mascarpone cream with almond brittle and a Nutella panna cotta. A water, two coffees, and two liqueurs were kindly offered, bringing the final bill to €96 for two, which is extremely reasonable. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return!

02/01/2026: Ristorante da Ciccio in La Capannaccia is a place you absolutely must try. The welcome is incredible: it feels like family here. The menu is meticulously explained, both in detail and in its preparation. All the dishes are enticing, but in the end, unfortunately, you have to make a choice. The appetizer is delicious, the fried dishes and the trio of artichokes are amazing. The pizza, leavened for 48 hours, is a true delight for the palate. The first courses are excellent, but the meat dishes, prepared with culinary expertise, are especially worth trying. Here, you should relax and let yourself be guided in choosing quality products masterfully prepared. You don't come to Da Ciccio for the location or just to eat, but to be pampered and enjoy a pleasant and unforgettable experience. It's been 10 years since he won on Alessandro Borghese's show, but Ciccio's cuisine has steadily improved over the years and today it is considered a true Italian excellence to be enjoyed and preserved. Bravo, Ciccio, you're a genius!

04/01/2026: Excellent ice cream shop and bar in the center, a side street off Via Arenula. It doesn't have a huge variety of flavors, but they're all excellent. I recommend trying the rice and rose ice cream. You can sit inside or outside. Friendly staff. Always excellent.

31/12/2025: The best gelato we had in 6 days in Rome. Interesting flavors with perfect consistency, as well as lots of seating for a mid-day break.

The menu offers an excellent selection of beef, chicken, and pulled pork, all prepared with fresh and well-balanced ingredients. My sandwich was flavorful and well-filled, with tender, flavorful meat. The fries are also noteworthy: crispy, golden, and perfect with the sandwich. I also really appreciated the attention to detail—like the really nice stickers featuring the local brand: an original touch that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Quick and friendly service, a great option for a quality meal!

15/03/2026: On a Sunday outing, we chose Torrice, a village in Ciociaria, a few kilometers from Frosinone, making a reservation at this restaurant, attracted by its uncommon but actually very ancient name. In short, we had a wonderful time. Quality products from appetizers to dessert. The owner and staff were extremely kind and attentive to their customers. We highly recommend it. See you soon, Gianni and Elena. We're sorry, but we didn't take photos of the dishes because they were too good to distract from the flavor.

10/03/2026: I discovered this restaurant by chance. Probably one of the best I've ever eaten at. A typical Ciociaria trattoria where you can still feel the tranquility. Fresh homemade pasta, delicious food, and extremely friendly staff. If I ever return to Ciociaria, it will be the first place I think of for lunch.
