14/10/2025: We went for a meal about a week ago, based on the reviews, and we had high expectations, but it wasn't like that. There were 5 of us, and we ordered an appetizer (a platter of cured meats to carve, bland eggplant with peppers, and 5 pieces of cheese with the very good prosciutto). The bread was definitely from the day before, it wasn't fresh. The first courses arrived, excellent ravioli, nothing to complain about, but unfortunately the spelt sagne sauce was undercooked and ruined the dish. The amatriciana was good, even if the pasta was a little undercooked, but the lamb wasn't up to par. Fat everywhere, not enough meat, and very greasy. The desserts were nothing special, the king's salami was unimaginable, and the mimosa cake was very sweet. We were a little disappointed, as we had high expectations. The staff is friendly, and the price is fair. The limited variety of dishes leads you to choose the "least bad." There was one thing that is still not clear: we had asked for something light for the second course but we were offered sausages, lamb or scamorza with ham when we saw scallops with potatoes in the other dishes... The house wine was not good and unfortunately we will not return.
28/09/2025: Finally, for a traditional osteria, you have to leave Rome. The menu is varied and fixed price. Appetizer + first course, wine, and water = 25 Appetizer + second course, wine, and water = 25 Appetizer, first course, and second course + side dish = 30 The menu is typical of an osteria. Don't expect anything gourmet. I highly recommend it!

14/09/2025: Truly an exceptional experience. The ribeye steak melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection. Impeccable service, a very nice and clean place. Delicious desserts. For two, we paid €89 for a 950g ribeye steak, two sides, two desserts, and a glass of wine and beer. Considering our carnivorous experience, it was well-deserved. The detailed bill, clearly indicating the weight of the meat, was appreciated.

31/08/2025: A beautiful venue, featuring two rooms, one elegant and the other simpler yet still beautiful and modern. Excellent cuisine, with top-quality ingredients expertly prepared. Large garden with swimming pool, also a lovely backdrop for souvenir photos. Friendly and helpful owners. Ample paved parking. Prices are reasonable.
25/08/2025: I celebrated my 60th birthday on Saturday evening, August 23rd. It was a fairytale. The welcome was perfect, the food was perfect, and Ciro and his wife were wonderful people. Thanks Ciro, we had a great time. See you next time.

28/12/2024: A pastry shop from another era. They truly make artisanal products, in the fullest sense of the expression. They use high-quality raw materials. I tried their panettone, both chocolate and three-chocolate. A spectacle. Excellent flavor, butter, leavening... Excellent and it costs 30 euros a kilo. We tried the maritozzi, the tozzetti, the pastries in general, the nougat... You absolutely have to try it. It has an excellent quality-price ratio. In the sense that the prices are low, compared to Naples, and the quality is excellent. It is just a little difficult to find parking, even in the blue lines in front of the pastry shop. 20/10/2025: Excellent restaurant/pizzeria in Bolsena, in the province of Viterbo. The place is truly charming, a mix between an Irish pub and a medieval pub, but surprisingly, they also do pizza. The tap list is fairly basic, but the beers are well-tasted. They also have Guinness, which is a plus. Now let's talk about the food: the pizza is gigantic and incredibly good, with excellent ingredients and a very light dough (though the pizza was anything but light, given the heavy toppings). The staff is friendly and the prices are fair.

27/09/2025: I'd read excellent reviews and was excited to go for dinner, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The bread and wine were excellent, a Carpineti Prosecco. However, I didn't like the clam pasta dish; the pasta wasn't al dente and seemed to have butter added to thicken it. Then I ordered roasted calamari, and the lemon zest was so strong it tasted like dish soap. I'm sorry, but I'm writing this not to humiliate the restaurant manager, but to be honest with those who read the reviews.
12/09/2025: A word of warning: it was pouring with rain, there wasn't a soul around, it was already 1:50 PM, and we were starving and desperate. My wife asked if we could come in (there was no one there, but the weather was truly awful), and Mr. Lazzaro, with a smile, not only seated us, but cooked just for us perhaps the best fish dish (very fresh! With a sublime sauce and deliciously al dente paccheri! Plated with what was left of the fish, elegantly!) that I've had in who knows how long. In short, we'll be back (of course) and we're happy to have stumbled upon the right place, even on the wrong day, in a country we've never seen before. Long live Mr. Lazzaro's cuisine!
