Fantastic Carbonara, the pasta was perfectly al dente, the guanciale was perfectly crispy and the sauce was exactly what you would expect proper Roman Carbonara to taste like.

The atmosphere is pleasantly unconventional, in keeping with the adjacent hotel (they are managed separately, but complement each other). The cuisine is largely Roman, lightened and presented with an international flair, expertly executed. Excellent service.

Informal atmosphere, good food, fast and friendly service. It's part of the Ripa Hotel, one of Rome's most modern hotels at the time, with a strong focus on design (the Ripa Art Caffè, a trendy evening club among Rome's elite, was also open at the time). Everything seems a bit dated these days, but the experience is still pleasant. I'll definitely be back.

Tascapizza

01/03/2026: We went to Tascapizza, a sort of alternative to the classic and well-known Trapizzino. We ordered two menus and two extra tascapizzas, for a total of €26. The idea is nice and the ingredients are good, but overall, we weren't entirely convinced. The tascapizzas weren't very filling and lacked a sauce that would give them more character and bind them together better, because they were too dry. Unfortunately, we also found the meatballs a bit bland. A very positive note, however, goes to the supplì: really good! Overall, worth a try, but I think they could be improved.

28/05/2026: Excellent food, very reasonably priced. The tiramisu was delicious. The waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great restaurant. I'll definitely be back.
