It was a thoroughly mixed experience. The dishes were perfect, except for the radicchio with the chicken fillet. Everything was truly outstanding. Unfortunately, one of the waiters who served us was unfriendly, inconsiderate, made inappropriate remarks, and was extremely tiresome. Added to that were the higher prices (€100 total) for smaller portion sizes (which are acceptable for this type of establishment), the extremely noisy wooden floor, the wait of 30 minutes or more between courses, and the unpleasant music. Otherwise, it was quite alright.

Fantastic Carbonara, the pasta was perfectly al dente, the guanciale was perfectly crispy and the sauce was exactly what you would expect proper Roman Carbonara to taste like.

The atmosphere is pleasantly unconventional, in keeping with the adjacent hotel (they are managed separately, but complement each other). The cuisine is largely Roman, lightened and presented with an international flair, expertly executed. Excellent service.
