12/10/2025: I've been to this restaurant both as a guest of friends and as a customer with friends. Everything is good, above average in my opinion, from the mixed antipasto to the first courses, and, in my opinion, the highlight is the select grilled meats. There's a wide selection of wines. They specialize in meat dishes. I recommend it. It's worth traveling all the miles to eat here. I recommend enjoying the experience with a good group of friends; it'll be a great get-together. Eating lunch or dinner here will feel different; the ambiance is different because the large windows make all the difference. The restaurant is on the ground floor and is well hidden from the street by hedges; the place is quiet and intimate. You'll definitely enjoy it.

26/11/2025: The two first courses were excellent: tonnarelli cacio e pepe and a remarkable carbonara. It's a shame there are so few traditional Roman dishes. The restaurant tries to project a Michelin-starred air, as many unfortunately do nowadays, starting with the choice of glasses, which are as low as Ikea candle holders. Service is rather slow, but friendly.

21/11/2025: Small, quaint restaurant with a delicious home-cooked menu, a wide variety of traditional dishes, and top-quality ingredients. Even the desserts and liqueurs are homemade.

05/12/2025: Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. I had an artichoke, which was good overall, perhaps the crostini was a bit too hard. The calzone was decent.

26/11/2025: It seems like a bar you wouldn't trust...but if you have breakfast with their tarts and cakes...and their good coffee...you'll change your mind. For lunch, you'll always find two or three espresso first courses that will leave you happy you stopped in. In the evening, it's full of young people who liven up the place without causing any trouble.

14/08/2025: We were a group of three friends looking for a restaurant in Grottaferrata for dinner. We considered three or four within a 100-meter radius, but none of them were entirely convincing. Finally, we found La Roncola, which had a high rating and was well-regarded by many, and we set off. Since a young woman with us had dietary restrictions, we looked for the menu at the entrance to clear up any doubts, but we couldn't find one. Tired of searching further, however, we requested a table and sat down. After a few minutes, we were asked if we'd like water, which was promptly brought to us. A few more minutes passed, and a waitress came to our table and asked if we were ready to order. We told her we weren't ready yet because no one had brought us menus, and she promptly replied that there were no menus and that she would list the dishes available for that evening: four or five appetizers, four or five first courses, three second courses, and a few side dishes. Puzzled by the lack of a menu but hungry, we considered ordering two or three appetizers to share, but were told we couldn't split the appetizer because it included all the listed courses, and that if we thought it was too much, we could order a single course at most. Puzzled by the refusal, we decided to order just one appetizer anyway (even though we would have ordered more), choosing one main course from the three available, and three side dishes. In short: one water, one appetizer (three meatballs), three strips (200g of grilled meat seasoned with oil and salt, €25 per dish), three side dishes, and one coffee cost us a whopping €100. Since the bill didn't seem fair for what we'd eaten, we pointed out that restaurants are required to display a menu, so they can give customers the option to choose whether or not to order. We were told that if we asked for the menu, we would have it. A truly irritating attitude. To top it all off, we paid part of the bill in cash, and of course, there was no receipt.

19/10/2025: My family is Italian and my father was born in Rome. My father was also an excellent chef. I had been in Rome a week before coming here and I'm extremely happy that I did. The pasta dishes that I circled in my photo were truly amazing! I've eaten here 3 times now and I'm ready for another visit!

19/10/2025: More than just a pub! It's a neighborhood landmark and a great place to meet friends: you can eat anything and drink excellent beer, enjoying the cool Roman evenings in the warmer months. If I had to choose a place to hang out and have a good time, this is definitely one to consider!
