17/10/2023: Excellent for those who want to be in the center of a splendid area to visit. The room is basic and beautiful. It has a habitable terrace with table and chairs. The breakfast is without the buffet but plentiful and full of everything. On request there is also the possibility of having savory dishes. Completely autonomous in entry and exit with remote control for the gate of the private and free parking. The cost is appropriate for the service and the area. Just a small note: there is no bidet but a nice shower makes up for the lack. The lady who hosted us is super kind. A get well wish to the owner who unfortunately didn't let us taste her gourmet dishes due to her health situation. Good luck and wait for us again!

25/07/2024: Originally Italian, very friendly staff. Here you have the feeling of being among the locals and on holiday. We all had something different to eat and were charged a flat rate of 15 euros each (including ice cream and espresso). Really recommended!!!

03/08/2024: The service was very bad, the team is insufficient, they don't even bring a menu, when you call us to our table they say they are coming and they don't come!!! We asked for food, thank you, we waited for 45 minutes and the food did not arrive, no one cares about you. I would never recommend it.
04/07/2024: Authentic small osteria with local specialties. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Went there with a group and we were thrilled.

25/04/2024: Really poorly cooked food. The fried foods took too long to cook and were too hard and bitter, as were the artichokes. Luckily the pasta had gorgonzola otherwise it remained tasteless. I paid for the bread with a cover charge but never had it at the table. The only good thing I ate was the bruschetta with tomato. They spoke well to me but with the change of chef something changed... for the worse!

The dishes are made very well, where elegance, flavour, taste and care are found both in how they are presented and how they are treated
Here there is "a lot of stuff" both in the kitchen (they could aim for the first star culinaryly speaking) and in the dining room (very polite, kind and above all aware and knowledgeable of everything they serve)
You can sense an extended family behind all this and as a real family you manage to convey love in the dishes

- Very nice and welcoming location
- Having sat down on the first floor we realized shortly after that all the vapors and smells from the kitchen were coming up the stairs and out of the window near the table
- Carbonara overcooked and runny, the grilled chicken slices and potatoes (boiled) with onion are mediocre while the tegoline were ordered but not served
- In the end. Even if rustic, the room should be tidy and clean (cables with electrical sockets on the floor with corners full of dust and cobwebs).
Large margin for improvement.

16/08/2024: We are two hungarian travelers passing by from Padova to Trieste and stopped by for a coffee.
The crew were very friendly and spoke good english.
They also helped is with parking ( which is free ín front of the café). The place is spatious, very clean and has a wide variety of coffee and sweets.
Highly recommended!

06/08/2024: Reached on a motorbike ride. Beautiful, isolated place, beautiful setting and beautiful structure. Most of them in big trunks. I get many stars for the location, service and good quality of the food... less, unfortunately, for the large number of dogs accompanying the customers. An assorted and obedient orchestra wove a very annoying barking all the time. I love dogs, let's be clear... but what a drag today! It felt like being in a "kennel with a kitchen". It's a shame that the various "mums and dads" (that's what almost everyone called themselves when giving bland orders to their little dogs) are the first to be rude.

16/08/2024: Udine. Historic centre. A lunch based on local delicacies washed down with a good wine chosen together with the staff who have proven themselves: prepared, attentive and correct with customers. I really appreciated the confirmation whether what we requested (6 adults) was not too much, based on the decent portions of each dish. From the series: before looking after my own interests I prefer to ask if they can eat everything, avoiding that uneaten food no longer has to be sent to the bin.
The bill? Balanced and corresponding to expectations. Why 4 stars? It was hot in Udine and the place, although in a building with ancient walls, did not seem to have air conditioning.

01/08/2024: wonderful balcony above Campeglio and Raschiacco, overlooking the plain and Udine. the food is very good, genuine homemade things by Valentina and mother. we met for mum's birthday and everything was perfect for everyone. the location really deserves to return. the house wine is also excellent (bought a case of ribolla....)

01/07/2024: Stopped for a business lunch on a Friday: good and very abundant dishes, normal prices. A stop is recommended given the convenience and ample parking.
27/06/2024: I have already been to this place a couple of times under the old and new management and I must always say excellent value for money, welcoming environment and very knowledgeable and kind staff. This time I went for lunch and we opted for a Finnish sashi of about 1 kg with a side of potatoes and vegetables and a goose breast appetizer and a green apple sorbet for dessert, excellent choice of wines. Being celiac I really appreciated the gluten-free bread option.

18/08/2024: A somewhat particular restaurant, the manager delegates little to the employees, therefore service is a bit slow. Decent cuisine, reasonable price but there is no menu and the cost is only discovered at the end and this is not good.
15/08/2024: The environment is not air conditioned so you are dying of heat the waiting times are shamefully long the value for money is absolutely not adequate a place I will definitely not return to the only positive note is the view

14/08/2024: I went to osteria Leon d'Oro last night and I have to say I was really impressed. The setting is charming and the atmosphere warm. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff.
As for the food, every dish was delicious. The flavors were well balanced, and the ingredients fresh and quality. I particularly loved the tortelli alla zuccha, which was simply divine.
This is a place I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates fine dining and quality service. I will come back without hesitation!
25/07/2024: The environment and the quality of what was served were more than satisfactory. I would like to make a note on the amount of work that the waiters have to carry out during peak hours. In my opinion it is not elegant to see them practically running between the tables.
