12/09/2025: The atmosphere is spartan, with slightly dated furnishings. But the food is good, with generous portions and a reasonable price (about €40 per person). We hadn't booked (it was a Friday in mid-September), but there was room. The restaurant closes at 10:30 PM.

19/08/2025: Nice place, really good food, but the service could be improved (the waitress kept coming out between the tables with the dishes and didn't know who they were for).

10/01/2026: We stopped after a hike to grab a bite to eat and ordered two platters, one with cheese and the other with cured meats (both delicious). We'll be happy to return to try some other dishes. 😋 The place... an osteria with a nice, warm dining room.

04/01/2026: Typical and authentic. Delicious home-cooked food. My partner and I don't eat meat, so we found a wide selection! They let us in even though it was already 2:30 PM, with plenty of advance notice. The waitress was really helpful, sweet, and friendly. Highly recommended.

01/02/2026: Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience. The dinner was expensive and the food quality was subpar (the French onion soup was forgettable, the appetizer was uninspiring). I won't be returning.

09/11/2025: It's a shame the staff was inattentive, because the coffee and pastries were good. The women's restroom was out of order, and the men's restroom was filthy. A regular customer reported that it had been out of order for quite some time.

07/11/2025: A café that doesn't serve hot chocolate in the fall, oh well. I get a cappuccino and the milk is a little sour. Never mind, Trieste has no shortage of cafés.

18/06/2025: I was disappointed... I ordered a Dixi salad but the salad was not fresh.. The egg was fried when it should have been hard-boiled!! Not everyone likes something like that in a salad...! I had eaten a salad years ago and it was abundant unlike this... The club sandwich bread was special, and I don't want to say old... for the service, a long wait... I'll start by saying that I was their customer... I'll go back but I certainly won't eat the things from the kitchen... I feel sorry for the owner who is very good at making pizzas and I recommend the panuozzo... I hope you can improve with the products....

05/01/2026: Un’esperienza surreale e profondamente spiacevole, che va ben oltre una semplice “brutta serata”.Già prima del nostro episodio, la stessa cameriera stava urlando contro altri clienti, visibilmente fuori controllo, arrivando a sbattere oggetti e creare un clima di forte tensione all’interno del locale.Poco dopo, a seguito di una semplice richiesta fatta con educazione da mia madre, la situazione è degenerata: la cameriera ha iniziato a urlare contro di noi, arrivando a dire testualmente“Stai zitta stronza, vaffanculo.”A quel punto ci siamo rivolti al proprietario per cercare di riportare la calma e comprendere cosa stesse accadendo. La risposta è stata ancora più grave:“Fai stare zitta questa merda umana.”Nessuna provocazione, nessun comportamento scorretto da parte nostra. Solo aggressioni verbali, insulti e totale mancanza di controllo.

09/09/2025: Good pizza. The prices on the receipt are higher than the menu prices (€1 more for each dish)... Absolutely unfair. The 0.4L beer costs €6. Too expensive (€14 a liter... More than at the Oktoberfest... Absurd). I don't think I'll go back.

17/02/2026: I've been ordering pizza from Mangiafuoco for years and only get it from them. Excellent products. I've tried various pizzas and they're all delicious. Fast delivery and they're super friendly.

24/02/2026: The food was very good, as was the presentation; the service was excellent. The first photo you see when searching for the restaurant online shows the interior of a very elegant room. I assume it's the adjacent building. For me, it was misleading and relatively disappointing, as my expectations (after seeing the photo) were high, but the interior is that of a normal restaurant/tavern.

07/12/2025: The owner was very kind and explained each dish to us. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Excellent, to say the least.

23/12/2025: A regular customer comes in with his pitbull without a muzzle or a leash. I don't care that the dog in question seems very good. This behavior deserves a fine, and the staff doesn't care. Speaking of the staff, the service is otherwise good, although I don't know who selected them, but at least one employee, let's say not a very short one, seems completely unsuitable for a job that involves contact with the public. With all the jobs available that don't involve interacting with people, I wonder why she'd choose to be a bartender.

18/12/2025: We were a bit worried after reading other reviews as we checked in late to the Marriot on our way to skiing and didn’t feel like driving anywhere. What a lovely surprise- the food was delicious and the service excellent. We had the lasagna and pasta carbonara and it was so good.

09/09/2025: Superlative dinner. As always, what more can I say? We're always welcomed like family, and the dishes are carefully prepared and simply excellent.

15/08/2025: Excellent food. Fantastic fried food. A breathtaking view. Everyone was kind and friendly. Practically perfect.

21/09/2025: I've been there several times and have been very satisfied every time. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. But yesterday's visit was a disaster. "Oktoberfest" There was no kitchen. Just some kind of roast pork with fried potatoes. Which sounded perfectly fine, so I ordered it. But €35 for a small plate with a few chunks of lukewarm meat and some potatoes is a complete RUDE! I just felt sorry for the staff, who had to pay for their impertinence.

23/07/2025: I always come here for a coffee break, a sweet treat, or an ice cream, with my office across the street. I've been very lucky to have such a great pastry shop across the street. Believe me, being the daughter of baristas with parents who are very picky about quality, I'm very critical of what I eat. And here, everything is artisanal and excellent!
