15/10/2025: A disappointing experience in every way. The restaurant displays symbols and images that openly recall fascism—a deeply inappropriate and offensive choice, as well as contrary to democratic values. The staff, mostly inexperienced seasonal workers, does their best but is clearly left without adequate guidance. In summer, the heat and humidity inside make it stifling, while outside you're literally beset by mosquitoes. The food quality is questionable, and the prices are average but not justified. I don't recommend this place, both for its atmosphere and the message it conveys.

06/10/2025: This restaurant also offers a workers' lunch menu at reasonable prices. Very fast service, perfect for those looking for a quick meal without wasting too much time. Also open on Mondays for lunch. Advance reservations recommended. Often full.

05/04/2026: ATTENZIONE 💥💥 2 Star camping with 5 Star heart ❤️ Ok Campeggio Obelisco is UNASHAMEDLY 2 Star camping. But when arrive and you are greeted personally at the entrance by Milena with a HUGE smile. You begin to think "Wow how cool is this place😎 ". We arrived Easter Sunday at around 18:00. The restaurant was closed. We went in and asked kindly if we might be able to have something small to eat. At first the answer was "hmm my staff has worked hard all day and has gone home"..but then Lucca, the owner said.."..ahh let me see". We actually received such a nice meal and super drinks with a friendly atmosphere. What could you ask more for?? We already fell in love with Trieste before going into the city ... Apropo : the view above Trieste from here is a view to die for if you know what I mean? SO...If you want to UNASHAMEDLY stay at a an Old School campsite with 2 Stars but with a 5 star heart then come to Campeggio Obelisco !!

10/04/2026: A charming place, surrounded by nature yet just 15 minutes from the city. The sight of dozens of deer upon arrival is truly special. The welcome was warm and the dishes were truly delicious. Both the ragù and the venison meatballs were delicate and sweet. The roast beef was excellent. A lovely first experience, we'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Thanks to the staff!!!

09/03/2026: We had rabbit, chicken, and an omelette for lunch. I didn't like anything. Poor service. We left with the dishes still on the table, abandoned. The location is a saving grace.

03/01/2026: The food and beer were some of the best we've had in Friuli. Unfortunately, the atmosphere could be better because the lights are too bright and sometimes it feels like you're at the Fiera. The service is 5 out of 5, although I only had to deal with a guy who was in a hurry to take away my plate while it was still half full... (first he put his hand on the plate and then asked if he could take it away), but in my opinion, it's still a well-deserved 5 stars. My only suggestion is to dim the lights and make the atmosphere warmer; it would make it more comfortable and less "in the spotlight." Overall, 5 stars are well-deserved!

29/03/2026: A place where Udine seems to return to its roots. Away from the chaotic city life, the atmosphere offers a welcome escape from the social complexities, with the pleasant sound of running water outside and the comfortable, friendly service of the staff inside. The food is carefully selected, and the menu is modest in choice but extremely high in quality. And I really appreciate that. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

12/10/2025: A wonderful experience. On a Sunday in October, we ate outside, served by friendly staff, and the food was delicious! From the perfectly cooked grilled meat to the exquisite fish entree. I highly recommend it.
