01/02/2026: I don't recommend the pizza; it arrived cold and hard as a shoe. The buffalo mozzarella (I can't remember the name now) came with a little tomato sauce and a small whole buffalo mozzarella in the center. The garlic and basil listed on the menu were also included, and the peeled tomatoes were nothing special. If I'd just made it myself, it would have been better. The price isn't worth it; maybe the meat is good...

26/12/2025: Ristorante Grifone in Barcola Trieste, run for decades by the Lanzellotti family, has been a guest since 1992 and a friend of the family for 33 years. A top-notch restaurant run with heart, passion, and professionalism! A wonderful ambiance with an old tree shading the terrace and top-notch service at the table and in the kitchen by the Lanzellotti brothers. Regional products from the sea and the karst, vegetables, fruits, and wines from all over Friuli Venezia Giulia and neighboring Slovenia. I can only give it 10 stars. Thank you so much!

21/06/2025: Review: An absolutely amazing Italian pizzeria! The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, the service is warm and professional, and the food is out of this world. Their pizzas are baked to perfection — crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend the “Quattro Formaggi” – it’s a heavenly mix of cheeses that melts in your mouth. A true gem for pizza lovers!

20/02/2026: Many years ago I worked in this restaurant and I know the ins and outs. They don't remember me, but I chose to spend my birthday here because I'm sure of the freshness, attention, and cleanliness. We come here every now and then for work in the Udine area with my husband, our choice for lunch always falls to this restaurant. This evening we left from Jesolo (you understand that I live by the sea) and I chose Ancona 2 to celebrate my birthday. We arrived, they sat us down, and we ordered two house appetizers and a Vincenzo pizza. The appetizer was nothing like the usual, and we forgot about the pizza. I didn't finish my appetizer, the waiter asked me why, and I gave my opinion, which Mrs. Maria didn't appreciate (but she did try to solve the problem). We decided to ask for the dessert menu, but the waiter slammed the three dessert menus on the table, at which point I decided with my family to leave. I recognize you as hard workers, I recognize the cleanliness because I cleaned Your well-maintained furnishings, I recognize the freshness and attention to raw materials. But today was my birthday, I traveled miles... no one should dare offend with inappropriate behavior just for judging a dish. Me and my family. Be kinder and more understanding towards customers and accept some criticism with humility because even after years of experience it can always be constructive, otherwise, Mrs. Maria, salt is useless. I THANK YOU FOR THE EVENING BECAUSE FOR ME IT WAS CONSTRUCTIVE TOO.

09/11/2025: We stayed this weekend. The rooms are simple but spacious with exposed beams. The agriturismo is well-maintained and decorated with antiques. The owner is friendly, the prices are average, and the food is well-prepared and delicious. The location is convenient for those arriving by car, with free on-site parking, but a bit inconvenient if arriving by train. The place is very quiet.

04/01/2026: A very good restaurant with a lovely courtyard, and the interior is also beautifully decorated. Pizza, pasta, fish, seafood… everything we've eaten here so far has been excellent. The service is very friendly and quick. I absolutely cannot understand some of the negative reviews. Making a reservation is definitely a good idea in the summer. Even with a reservation, there's no "reserved" sign on the tables, as some people here seem to misunderstand. So, it's quite possible that tables will be empty and you'll be turned away if you arrive without a reservation. And everyone knows that in Italy you don't just sit down at an empty table, but wait to be assigned one…

28/12/2025: The place is cozy, the service is nice. Slow? Didn't you come to relax, to get wet? Where are you rushing? We came in around 2:30. It was a bit difficult to find the place, even though it was clearly marked. We ate pasta, drank wine, a Tiramisù and coffee. We returned in the evening: pizza, salad, wine, Unicum. We were satisfied with everything. One could find fault. But why? Bravi! 👏👏👏

09/11/2025: In a warm mountain setting, with a lively dining room, Monday night showcased the vibrancy of one of the few active establishments in this beautiful mountain village. There were some pleasant surprises when choosing wines, including the magnificent Livio Felluga, Vértigo, which speaks of terroir and foreign grape varieties. Just a couple of pasta dishes with venison ragu, where the magic was diminished by the overuse of a heavy-handed knife that flattened the dish. The pasta was good, but the overall experience was underutilized by the presence of this harsh knife, which made everything seem even. A little cheese served as a fitting end to the meal. The next day we returned for lunch and found the same flaw in a goulash and a venison stew. The dishes fell short of their potential. Attentive service. Friendly atmosphere.

03/10/2025: Delicious homemade products for takeout. They have everything from yogurt to aged cheeses; the ricotta is sublime. Very crowded on Sunday lunchtime, but well-organized.

14/09/2025: Traditional dishes with authentic flavors. The herb-filled Cjarsons, frico, and goulash are excellent. The desserts are also delicious, including strudel and fried forest fruit tart. Highly recommended.

27/12/2025: It was supposed to be a Sunday family lunch, booked days in advance, specifying we had a little girl, if it hadn't been for the fact that I "dared" to show up with my daughter in a stroller...oh dear! As soon as they saw the stroller, the two ladies got agitated as if I'd driven in with a tank, saying the stroller couldn't fit. Of course, I was heading towards the corner so as not to disturb the other diners, much less them, who were serving. But it wasn't enough! They kept yelling that the stroller couldn't fit, that they shouldn't move the chairs to get to our seats, and that the stroller was a problem, so much so that they embarrassed the other people eating and who were trying to help me get to my seat. Given the behavior, which was, to say the least, rude and bordering on humiliating, we mutually agreed to get up and leave. There was no approach to address THEIR problem; instead, we were greeted with a "yes, yes, go fuck yourself." Luckily, the place next door (whatever there was) accommodated 8 of us WITHOUT reservations and WITH STROLLER! If you're tired of running a business, you should consider closing it down, because it was truly a pitiful scene!
