14/09/2025: What can I say? It's a fantastic place. The staff, along with the owners, make you feel immediately at ease with their courtesy, friendliness, and politeness. The food is excellent, with generous portions, and the prices are very reasonable, making it suitable for families too. They're excellent at organizing events. In short, I return with my family and bring friends too.

09/11/2025: A wonderful family lunch. We were greeted with a smile and enjoyed excellent canapés: choose as many as you like. The first and second courses were excellent. Ask for local wine recommendations and try the desserts too. We'll be back.

31/10/2025: Service was slow but friendly – no issue there. But the chef? Absolutely unacceptable. After politely asking about the onion soup for €16.50 (which tasted like nothing at all), he stormed out of the kitchen and snapped at us, asking if we “had any idea how much work goes into that soup!” And then came the sentence that ruined the evening: “If you can’t afford it, you shouldn’t eat in Portopiccolo!” I’ve rarely experienced such arrogance. The pizza was fine – but the chef’s attitude was disgraceful. 💫 The day before, at Gaudemus: refined cuisine, outstanding service, every detail perfect – and worth every cent! A clear proof that you can eat exceptionally well near Portopiccolo – just not at L’Oro di Napoli.

07/10/2025: Let me start by saying that we try a different place in Friuli every week, but this time it was Alla Speranza, which I had included in this group of restaurants. The welcome was average, and the staff were kind enough to reserve a table. The location is beautiful, with three different dining rooms, two of which were even more beautiful than the other. The dishes, including those offered off-menu, were very well prepared, and the quality was noteworthy, except for the first course—tortelloni or similar fish-filled dishes with a mussel stew. They weren't thrilling, not because of the sauce, which was superb, but because of the colorful pasta, which tasted like nothing. Perhaps a lasagna or something else would be better. The wine from local producers was really good. On a negative note, the service seemed subpar at times; you couldn't pour other wine into the same glasses, especially in places where another type of wine had been tasted. The glasses had to be changed at all costs, and the placemats weren't exactly attractive; a standard tablecloth with stain protectors would have been a good choice in a place like this. This rating is based on our personal experience compared to other reviewed restaurants. All things considered, we'd be happy to return. The owner was very kind.

14/09/2025: First time at this butcher shop Very friendly and helpful staff, ready to offer advice!! The counter is very well stocked, with many delicacies. We cooked the "exceptional" chicken skewers, truly delicious chicken!! The same goes for the beef skewers "bombette" and asado. The prices are normal. We will gladly return.

15/08/2025: I've been shopping at this butcher shop for many years: I've always found the quality excellent, with a wide variety of meats. The owners' helpfulness is also remarkable. I've recommended this butcher shop to many people, and everyone has given me very positive feedback, so much so that they even come from other parts of the city to buy.

29/08/2025: If you don't always want to eat in the front row of mass tourism, but are still only a few minutes' walk from the center, you shouldn't miss this place. Unassuming from the outside, but the food and staff are first-class.

29/10/2025: A special evening spent at this restaurant. Excellent food and friendly, smiling staff. The owner is a true gentleman. The chef, who you watch cooking and preparing the dishes, is a true artist. Definitely recommended, especially since the price per person versus the amount you eat and drink is very attractive.

25/08/2025: Very nice, family-like service. Delicious and fresh food, the pastas, pizzas, salads and appetizers were all delicious! Next time we are in Trieste, we will definitely go back!

30/10/2025: The food quality is very good, but they can be a bit slow with orders, especially during peak hours. The owner (I think) should smile a little more. The place is small but welcoming; there are only a few tables, so reservations are recommended. Parking is limited, all on the street. Be careful not to park in front of the Red Cross office; it's a 118 station, and the ambulance exit shouldn't be blocked (the Carabinieri regularly check it). Occasionally, there are musical and other events, especially in the summer. There is no accessible ramp.

23/10/2025: The customer service was very poor. They gave us glasses but no water—we had to ask for it ourselves. They only provided two spoons, and everyone seemed to be serving with stinginess. The food didn’t taste bad, but they really need to focus on improving their customer service.

08/06/2025: We visited during the week for lunch. They only had set menus, but the selection was large enough to fill us up. It's a shame, though, because it doesn't say anywhere that they don't serve food from their ala carte menu for lunch.

31/10/2025: The owner is friendly and professional, even though today, dressed up for Halloween, I felt like turning away. Kudos to Miriam. The sea-view table was excellent!
