The staff is courteous and welcoming, and they try to accommodate all their guests' requests. Their pastries are also worth trying; the desserts are truly delicious.

05/12/2025: I've been going to this butcher shop for two years now. The staff is incredibly friendly, and when I order by phone to pick up later, everything is prepared to perfection. The meat is incredibly fresh and top-quality. The knife-cut tartare gets 5 stars, and the sandwiches are super-stuffed and delicious. Really good! Keep it up.

16/05/2026: Discovery of the day.... We happened upon it by chance, and the owner invited us to see the waterfalls from inside the restaurant. We decided to stop by for lunch! Amazing! Absolutely worth a try!

27/04/2026: A jewel suspended over the water: the enchantment of saffron in Polcenigo. I visited here for an aperitif with friends, and as soon as I entered, I was struck by the uniqueness of the place: an intimate, refined setting with a truly welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the warmth of the fireplace. The location is incredible: the view of the river is truly spectacular, and the sound of the flowing water contributed to a relaxing evening. ​The absolute star of the tasting was saffron. I appreciated how it was used with balance in every bite, enhancing the flavors without ever overpowering them. ​Between conversations, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape, warmed by the warmth of the fireplace, and pampered by authentic flavors, I discovered the pleasure of a local cuisine that is never boring.

15/12/2025: 5 out of 5 stars for everything! Location, setting, food, presentation, and the friendliness and kindness of the staff (a very important factor). All the dishes were excellent, their quality and presentation, and the empathy of the waiter (alas, I don't remember his name) who recommended the traditional biscuits with Marsala wine to finish our meal. This is a place where they make you feel at home, sitting at a table with friends. My husband and I will definitely return to this wonderful place.

04/03/2026: Everything was very good, the staff were very friendly, everything was really excellent, you can taste every little difference in the flavor, I really like it, you can taste all the flavors and tastes of their Rugantino area, however, it's very easy to get there for those coming from Udine and for those coming from outside Udine. I'm from Godia and I got there in about 10 minutes, maybe a little less because in the evening it's much less noisy than during the day. The location of that place is also very suitable for families with children, so I find it very important for organizing dinners with friends and colleagues, etc. An excellent reference point for everything; if I'm not mistaken, it's also open for lunch and can be reached by bus lines 1, 2, and 3. It's also accessible by the new bus line 81, which connects the center of Udine with the hospital ring road and Via Colugna (although in my opinion, since it already overlooks the main lines, it doesn't make much sense). Furthermore, even when the bus from out-of-town locations, such as Tolmezzo, Gemona, etc., is closed, you can stop at the Chiavris stop and wait for the first bus, or for bus line 2 coming from Feletto, or bus line 81 coming from Via Colugna, as well as the hospital ring road to reach the historic center, formerly line 1 (years ago, this line passed through the historic center before the ZTL, and after the ZTL was introduced, they forced a change in its route). The only problem is the parking. It's located on the road, but with a bit of luck, you should find some free space on the internal streets...

07/06/2026: If you manage to get a table for five without a reservation, you're really lucky. The food, from the appetizer to the main course and dessert, was perfect. We've rarely eaten such good pizza. We give it more than five stars. We'll gladly come back when we're in the area again.

22/04/2026: We had dinner with friends and had a wonderful time. The place was extremely clean, the cuisine was typical local, and the timing between courses was perfect. We had the pappardelle with wild boar, superb! The portion was enormous (in a good way 😋). The mixed grill was also excellent and plentiful. The owner, who personally served us, is a very nice person. Compliments also to the chef, although I didn't meet him. A special heartfelt thanks goes to the couple Angelo and Rossella (exquisite people ✨) who invited us. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back in the future. Thank you 😊

11/10/2025: Recommended trattoria, with tasty and beautifully presented seafood dishes. Friendly owners. We opted for mussels with chili pepper instead of pepper, and instead of the mussels with pepper, we opted for mussels with impeperoncina (a type of mussels with pepper), followed by fish gratin and sardines in saor (sautéed sardines). The house wine by the glass is good, both still and sparkling. Prices are reasonable. Free street parking is available near the restaurant. Worth a stop for some food and wine.
