10/09/2025: It wasn't the first time I'd been to this trattoria, where, it must be said, the courtesy is a hallmark, as is the quality of the dishes: they are typical of Trieste's tradition (and therefore also Austro-Hungarian and Slovenian) and I'd say very well made, a little "rustic" so to speak. I absolutely must try the horseradish spritz, offered to me by a kind and knowledgeable young lady: I ​​gladly accepted it, because it piqued my curiosity, and I found it fragrant, fresh, sparkling, and thoroughly enjoyable. The bread gnocchi are excellent, with a variety of flavorful toppings (from roast to goulash), the breaded or grilled Lubjanske, the curry zucchini pie, the eggplant parmigiana, the crostini with Liptauer (a truly welcome addition), the desserts... but I'll be back soon to try more. In short: the atmosphere is welcoming, not formal, the service is courteous and punctual, the food is good, and, last but not least, the value is good. In short: well done!

26/08/2025: I've been frequenting the Bar Trattoria alla Nave "Mami" for years now, and I can confidently say that it's the absolute go-to place for those seeking fresh fish, cooked with respect and simplicity in Marano Lagunare. The quality of the fish has always been excellent, with the freshest ingredients showcased to the fullest thanks to a simple and respectful cuisine. The owner is a wonderful person: attentive, helpful, and always ready to recommend the best options based on the day and the catch. Trust him, you won't go wrong. The real must? The selection of appetizers: raw, warm, and cooked. A journey of flavor that captures the lagoon like few others. If you're looking for authenticity, passion, and fish prepared just right, this is the place. You'll want to come back time and time again. A little tip: book well in advance, especially in the summer; given the restaurant's popularity and (well-deserved) success, it's practically impossible to find a table.

I highly recommend it and we will definitely return. 13/06/24 I took 2 takeaway cuts and a course of calamari....I was more than satisfied!!! Excellent meat and delicious calamari....you never disappoint yourself....everything more than excellent....!!!!

04/10/2025: Honestly, the food seemed tasteless, very dry and disjointed, as did the sandwiches made with a type of bread unsuitable for frico, the polenta crostini weren't exceptional, and finally the frico dish was small in quantity. The prices were normal, but in line with what was stated. The service could be greatly improved. Perhaps a place better suited to an aperitif than a meal. Nothing extraordinary.

08/09/2025: A wonderful discovery, stumbled upon purely by chance. A trattoria serving local and Sicilian dishes, excellent seafood, and excellent wine. The portions are generous, and the staff is attentive and extremely kind. Don't miss their first and second courses, including their seafood appetizers, where you'll also find an excellent caponata. We ordered two portions to take home, it was so good. The place is perfectly lit for a pleasant dinner, with warm lighting and furnishings that make you feel at home. Furthermore, the service is fast and attentive, and the quality/price ratio is truly excellent. We'll definitely be back when we return to Trieste ❤️

15/09/2025: I went there on a Sunday evening (when there weren't many seats, I'm inclined to point out) for a pizza, after a long time since I'd been there. Nice location, modernized since the last time I was there, friendly and helpful staff. They also have lactose-free mozzarella, another plus, which unfortunately, in 2025, there are still places that don't have it... That said, waiting 40 minutes for three pizzas (not just our table) seemed really excessive. The noise was ridiculous, and we couldn't talk.
