05/05/2026: Excellent traditional Friulian dishes. We booked this restaurant during a trip to the mountains... a great choice! The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Each course was well described, and we found the presentation to be pleasing. The desserts were exquisite. The price was reasonable for the menu.

17/05/2026: We've been thinking about spending the evening at Da Pippo for a long time, and last night was the perfect opportunity. The atmosphere was clean, the staff were polite and friendly, and the pizza was light and delicious. Congratulations to all of you!
10/05/2026: Very good pizza: well-filled and made with top-quality ingredients.
The panna cotta was equally good, and the tiramisu was excellent.
The atmosphere was homey, but a bit noisy due to the crowds.
The service was prompt and precise.
A place we'll return to. Congratulations!

09/02/2026: It was a nice winter dinner at the end of the year in Modesto 😌 The pizza was delicious. One can choose the "tipo di farina" that is the type of flour for the pizza dough (only 2€ extra). The atmosphere was cozy and warm. We enjoyed the desserts too (torta della nonna, crema catalana). The decoration with ship models is charming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in Modesto. I strongly recommend this pizzeria. 🙃
28/12/2025: The food was excellent, but unfortunately there were some minor misunderstandings with the waitress! These were later resolved.

Aperitif with a delicious homemade salami, a welcome from the kitchen with cheeses and fresh polenta! The tripe as a second course was fabulous! The appetizers were refined and of excellent quality! A wide selection of first courses, including homemade pastas and delicious risottos, not to mention the second courses, traditional dishes presented "as they once were," and the duck...something special! It all ends with a well-stocked trolley of homemade desserts! And let's not forget the wines! An endless selection that will satisfy even the most discerning palates!
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!

10/05/2026: The man who served us was kind and explained everything very well to us even though we didn't speak Italian. The atmosphere was cheerful and homely. There isn't much seating so be prepared to stand, don't let that put you off this place as it adds a special charm and atmosphere. The price is very fair and the food is delicious, something for everyone. There are also numerous wine and drink options.

05/05/2026: This small restaurant specializes in excellent seafood in Barcola.
Unfortunately, despite being just steps from the sea, the interior is poorly lit by the warm, pleasant Trieste spring sun.
The menu is written on a blackboard or recited from memory by the efficient waiter.
The house wine is also pleasant.
It's a real shame that tables can't be set up outside.
A complimentary grappa is served after the meal.

07/05/2026: A hidden gem of a restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you're inside and seated, it's a delightful discovery. High-quality seafood with excellent service run by three women who clearly love their restaurant.
I highly recommend it, and I'm from Strasbourg! 😉

21/05/2026: A small, charming trattoria/pizzeria in the center of Udine. The food was very good! Only the "roast beef al inghilterra" was surprisingly cold (as a second course, I had expected something warm!). The meat was very good, just a bit dry, as it was served only with arugula and Grana Padano. Perhaps a rémoulade sauce would have helped! Otherwise, good value for money. We each had an antipasto, a second course, and a dessert (very good!), along with a glass of sparkling wine in a carafe (also very good – no headache the next day!).
At the end, we were treated to a glass of limoncello, a very nice gesture from the restaurant!

And a large, impressive selection of dry-aged beef in a large refrigerator.
17/05/2026: A lovely place in the center of Udine. Excellent pizza, light and easy to digest. Lactose-free options are available (soft mozzarella and even dessert, which I was pleasantly surprised by, given how difficult it is to find a restaurant with soft desserts). Extremely friendly and welcoming staff; special mention goes to Donatella's kindness and lovely smile. Highly recommended.
