14/03/2026: We tried the restaurant for lunch. The tagliatelle and tagliata were excellent. The semifreddo was worth trying. It should be chosen just for Merlino's courtesy and friendliness. I'll be back.

13/03/2026: A true classic for Castel d'Aiano. The hotel is affordable but clean and more than decent. The restaurant is phenomenal. It's just a shame that almost nothing remains in Castel d'Aiano, so it's recommended for everyone, but only for short stays or longer stays for older people who want to escape the summer heat of the city during the warmest months.

21/12/2025: I've eaten there three times, coming from Bologna specifically because, believe me, it's worth the trip: top-quality seafood, a warm and friendly welcome, detailed descriptions of the dishes, and impeccable service. The ravioli with fish sauce are a simple yet irresistible first course; the tuna tartare is incredibly fresh; the lasagna is sublime; the stew with prawns and shrimp (accompanied by double polenta) is a delightful surprise. Even though it's always busy, you can still converse without raising your voice. Parking is available in front of the restaurant or nearby, always free. A must-try!

22/03/2026: I passed this osteria, which immediately attracted me, both because of its glass verandas and because there were a lot of cars in the parking lot despite it being in a small hamlet of Podenzano. We stopped shortly before dinner time to use the bathroom and have a drink before getting back on the road home. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the unique beauty of this place. It feels like a home, but also a bar and a trattoria. Welcoming and warm. We were greeted with great kindness and generous smiles. I asked if I could bring my dog ​​in, and everyone was immediately accommodating. Furthermore, in a moment of panic because I was afraid the dog (a puppy) would pee, the girl at the cash register reassured me, saying that if anything happened, she would clean it up, and that it was no problem. ...I stayed...I really like the Piacenza area because I still find so many people like this...friendly, cheerful, helpful. They immediately gave us a table for an aperitif, bringing us sandwiches, pizzas, and chips. Fair prices. I'm giving the food 4 stars on faith, but we'll have to dine again to confirm the quality. The food was good, but unfortunately the entrees arrived lukewarm, probably because it was so crowded. The price was fair (the website isn't up to date, though).

We were absolutely not disappointed by Marsalino, a small restaurant where we received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The two waiters were delightful and very cheerful. As for the food, the ravioli with gorgonzola were delicious, as were the ones with walnuts. I highly recommend it!

20/03/2026: This restaurant is located in the very central area of ​​Sestola, perfect for a traditional meal at a good price. For two starters, a main course, a dessert, and water, we spent €25 each. The restaurant is very clean and tidy, almost elegant. The dishes are beautifully presented and come in just the right portions, neither too big nor too small. Plus, the dishes are tasty and have a bold flavor. Highly recommended! If we ever pass through Sestola again, we'll definitely be back!
