20/08/2026: We dined this evening at La Villa restaurant while staying in Melfi, recommended by the hotel manager, and were truly thrilled. The cuisine showcases the highest quality local ingredients through elaborate and refined dishes, always respectful of the authenticity of the ingredients. All this is accompanied by the utmost attention and care for us, the guests. The experience began with a welcome from the kitchen and the excellent baked goods, all homemade. We then chose the Chef's selection of three appetizers: * Fava beans and chicory with marinated scampi and crusco pepper paprika oil; * Fried eggplant parmigiana "Secondo Noi"; * Egg cooked at 64°C with garden caponata, Parmigiano Reggiano fondue, and Vulture bianchetto oil. Three dishes surprising for their flavor, balance, and respect for the ingredients. Also excellent were the shellfish linguine and the Lucanian black pig cheek "Pepone" with sweet and sour sauce and creamed potatoes. To finish, the desserts, again homemade, were the dark chocolate sphere and the shepherd's snack... merenda del pastore (shepherd's snack)... meticulously prepared and delicious. The dining room service was also excellent. One of the two young twins, Emanuele, the dining room manager, won us over with his impeccable professionalism, great expertise, and old-fashioned courtesy: qualities even more admirable considering his young age. And the rest of the staff, composed of young and highly trained women, dedicated to providing a high-quality service and always offering their best. The "Lucano Gin and Tonic" was excellent. The quality-price ratio is truly excellent: for a restaurant that has held a Michelin star for many years, the prices are surprisingly affordable considering the high level of the experience offered. Congratulations to the entire team: La Villa is a destination absolutely worth experiencing. We will be delighted to return from Lecce and recommend everyone not to miss this wonderful gastronomic and human experience.

13/08/2026: We ate at La Villa and chose the 7-course tasting menu. The food is plentiful and high-quality, prepared with care and passion. The ingredients are excellent, revisited without distorting the flavor; the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Service is prompt. Furthermore, the prices are very fair for the quality of the ingredients and the sophistication of the dishes. A wonderful discovery! We'll definitely be back!

14/08/2026: We stayed for five days at this ancient, fairly secluded property. It's the perfect place for those seeking tranquility and peace surrounded by nature. What can I say? The owners were incredibly kind; they welcomed and pampered us. Generous breakfasts, dinners with homemade products, and fresh handmade pasta. They always accommodated our requests. Finally, the pool was a real treat! I hope we'll have another opportunity to enjoy another pleasant stay in the future.

12/08/2026: We had a really good lunch. The dining room in the old oil mill was very characteristic. It was cool in the August heat. The staff was friendly and fast. The food was all excellent, authentic Lucanian. The price was excellent. We'll be back.

08/06/2026: I had dinner with a large group of friends on June 1, 2026. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful and welcoming place. The Cazzanedda appetizer was excellent, as were the pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, the cod ravioli with cream, the vruska, etc. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

24/07/2026: I visited Pizzeria A Camastra and was truly satisfied. I chose a pizza, which was well-cooked, tasty, and made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is kind and attentive, and the service was prompt. The menu is very varied: in addition to excellent pizzas, you can also enjoy first courses, second courses, and desserts, all carefully prepared. Even the fruit was incredibly fresh and carefully served, just as you can see in the photo. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, quality, and a pleasant atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

05/08/2026: We had dinner here on August 4th. Fantastic service, exceptional appetizers, grilled meats, and, of course, pasta with fresh mushrooms. Even though it's not in the center of town, the place is definitely worth it, and so is the Pollino. The courtesy and humanity of the two owners is almost impossible to find these days. Highly recommended.

02/08/2026: We're returning to this agriturismo with our campervan after last year's pleasant experience. Friendliness, hospitality, and traditional food are their strong points. The option of stopping off with your campervan is definitely an added bonus.
