23/03/2026: We went to Avigliano to eat cod at Osteria Gagliardi. It was truly delicious. The dishes, from appetizers to first and second courses, paired beautifully and delicately with this fish. Excellent value for money. The place is small, but very elegant and not crowded. The service was impeccable, fast, and attentive. It's best to book well in advance because it's very popular. We were coming from Bari, so we drove a bit, but it was worth it.

12/06/2026: A lovely, young pizzeria, well-decorated, with friendly and helpful staff. Delicious pizzas, easy-to-digest and well-made dough. Fair prices, homemade ingredients. I highly recommend it.

23/07/2026: Absolutely superb value for money. The hospitality and helpfulness are outstanding. The paccheri with sausage and cardoncelli mushrooms are highly recommended. And finally, the AmaRocco, a special treat. A B&B will be available soon.

06/07/2026: Fantastic find. They have no menu, it was basically chefs choice and did not disappoint. We had pasta to start with in a tasty meat sauce, so flavorful with the fresh basil. Next we had 1 fish and 1 chicken. Both were very good and they brought out fried peppers that seem to be so popular to the area. Very enjoyable experience. We timed it perfectly and it was quiet when we got there but was pretty busy by the time we left. The owner and his sister were very kind and patient with us as we don't speak Italian. Would recommend.

The cod with peppers is carefully and tastefully prepared, just like in days gone by. A welcoming atmosphere and a genuine feel make you feel at home. A place you'll always want to return to.
