27/03/2025: Good stopping point on the highway. I was happily surprised by the type of dishes served, well seasoned, well balanced and above all of the right quantity. It is difficult to find a good restaurant service with excellent value for money on the motorway. I recommend it

24/10/2024: Convenient to reach, on the Marrucina provincial road, on the right coming from Ortona and immediately before the old Sangritana station in Caldari, the restaurant has a modern layout with well-distributed tables equipped with excellent linen. On the right as you enter there is the local bar while on the left is the dining room with large tables to serve yourself at a buffet with all sorts of goodies where there is no shortage of fish or meat based dishes. The first courses are also good but, given the abundance of options, I suggest avoiding them. The owner, an open-minded person, goes out of his way to make customers feel at ease. In my case, it saved me from making a bad impression on my guests because I had left my wallet containing money, cards and documents at home. The owner, understanding my embarrassment, waited for me, giving me the opportunity to return home and return to pay the bill just before closing for lunch, thanks also to one of my guests who drove my car as I was unable to due to lack of a driving licence. If you want to be on the safe side, have lunch in the CANADIAN RESTAURANT, you won't be disappointed.

05/09/2024: Di rientro dalle ferie ci siamo fermati due giorni a San Vito Chietino e la sera ci siamo recati a Ortona per un boccone, fermati quasi per caso presso questo ristorante, ci ha colpito la struttura, una villa antica in pietra con due grandi giardini, una bella sorpresa, pizza buonissima e frittura di pesce abbondante e di qualità. Titolare gentilissimo come tutto il resto del personale, ma la cosa più bella e' la location un vero gioiello davanti all'imponente castello di Ortona. Prezzi ottimi in rapporto alla qualita del cibo, professionalita' e livello del locale. Consigliatissimo!

10/11/2024: Unieke ervaring om te lunchen op een trabocco, voormalige visinstallatie boven de zee. In veruit de meeste zit tegenwoordig een restaurant, maar deze is niet alleen prachtig gelegen (geen doorgaande weg of fietspad te zien), maar ook het eten is hier bijzonder goed. Het vaste lunchmenu bestaat al allerlei vis, schaal- en schelpdieren en wordt in een prettig tempo geserveerd. Reken op minstens 3 uur voor de lunch. De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk. Reserveren noodzakelijk. Toiletten op het vasteland zijn bereikbaar via de loopbrug. Er is een prive parkeerplaats bij het restaurant. Er is ook een pittoresk klein strandje direct voor de trabocco.

28/10/2024: Tuvimos una excelente comida a la hora del almuerzo en Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio un sábado a finales de septiembre. La ubicación, el ambiente, la calidad de la comida y el servicio fueron un punto culminante de nuestras vacaciones italianas. Tuvimos algunos retrasos de tráfico en nuestro viaje y llegamos tarde para nuestra reserva. Sin embargo, nos sentamos rápida y amablemente en una mesa que miraba a la orilla y el océano. La comida que llegó durante las siguientes dos horas era fresca, perfectamente cocinada, maravillosamente sabrosa, y extraordinaria en su cantidad. En total teníamos 13 mariscos diferentes, servidos tanto de manera tradicional como no tradicional. Me encanta el vongole italiano. Los que llegaron fueron de los mejores que he tenido - extremadamente pequeño y dulce. Las otras porciones fueron igualmente buenas. Apreciamos que éramos los únicos estadounidenses allí ese día. Dos grandes familias italianas estaban celebrando cumpleaños - prestando a un ambiente verdaderamente alegre. . Fue ruidoso, estridente en el buen sentido y tremendamente divertido. Cuando llegó nuestra factura le señalé a nuestro servidor que pensé que se había olvidado de incluir nuestras copas de vino en la factura. ¡Indicó que estaban incluidos en el precio de la comida! Tuvimos varias comidas mientras estábamos en Italia que eran cerca de $ 200 euros por persona. Ninguno era tan bueno como este y para 60 euros por persona esto era una ganga extraordinaria. La experiencia de Trabocco es imperdible y nuestra visita a Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio no será olvidada.

05/03/2025: Magnificent lunch! A killer fish broth not to mention the seared octopus: a poetry of flavours. I highly recommend! And to digest a nice walk with a view of the castle in front of the restaurant!

09/10/2024: The structure is wonderful, comfortable and suitable for spending high-profile romantic weekends. Too bad that when I went, the sea at the shore was full of mucilage. The hotel has a private entrance to go to the beach. There is a small swimming pool with hydromassage always supervised by a lifeguard. Rich and succulent breakfast. Super efficient service. The only very small flaw: access to the structure is on a poorly marked, very narrow and two-way street.

21/03/2025: Very nice place, my 4 stars are only for the service, the waitress was very attentive, kind and always smiling. The service was too slow even though there was practically no one there! We had cold appetizers (failed), hot (very good) and raw (nothing exceptional). We gave up on taking the first course, too much time between one dish and another, and we took fried food that wasn't even very hot. Value for money 2 stars

01/01/2025: €58 for dinner on New Year's Eve, moral of the story I had some bread and oil brought to me because the food provided was inedible, cold, raw sauce, canned mushrooms poured on the pasta without seasoning them, cold hard and tasteless meat and cotechino and lentils inedible. In short, a DISGUST.. I OVERLOOK THE CLEANING AND THE SERVICE. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

13/04/2025: A very hidden place in the village of Licola Mare. Very noisy and crowded environment! Not impeccable service with novice kids! Usual very varied starter with seasonal cured meats and side dishes. The rabbit sauce with pasta is good!! Very dry baked lasagna. The rabbit hunter style is excellent! The mussels and meat are good! Everything normal, including prices! Without infamy and without praise! Lots of outdoor space for children and some kept farm animals. Possibility to park without any problem!

20/01/2025: Friendly staff, but the setting of the tables outside leaves a little to be desired. As I was entering there were two tables with kids that practically obstructed the passage, I had to pass with difficulty between two chairs (rudeness on the part of the kids who didn't make the slightest sign to move, pretending nothing had happened). The food and everything is good, but I would recommend managing the outdoor space a little better.
