20/08/2025: The staff were rude and clearly struggling because there were already other tables with customers... we basically couldn't order anything... we asked a waiter... he told us someone else was taking care of it... and so on... huh!? Absolutely not recommended.

05/08/2025: Il Chioschetto da Heidi is an excellent restaurant, the owners are friendly and very helpful people. The menu offers a fair number of dishes, the pizza offered in various flavors is very interesting, the fried calamari is very good, the kebabs are really delicious! It is advisable to book in advance.

13/09/2025: Simple yet welcoming, we had lunch on the small terrace overlooking the river. The service was fast and friendly. The crostini with delicious liver pâté was excellent, as were the tagliatelle and tortelli with ragù. A must-try.

20/06/2025: It's been many years since I returned to this place and today after a long time I was able to have breakfast like many years ago, it almost seemed like I went back in time The place had changed slightly (for the better) while for the owner time seems to have stopped. Cappuccino and pancakes with Nutella, simple but delicious and if we add the kindness of the owner here is the recipe for a well-made breakfast 🙂 I hope to return to frequent this place more often. 15/09/2025: Worst restaurant in Ortona. Cold pasta, when reported, was returned cold in the same manner. High prices, very low quality.

14/09/2025: We happened to be there for lunch while three of us were strolling by. Attracted by the panoramic view, they reserved a table for us on the veranda. Excellent food, exquisite and very fresh fish, and delicious gnocchi handmade by the owner. The owner is superb, very friendly, and a true host. He even gave us a chili pepper he picked himself this morning, which we had carelessly left on the table. If we ever find ourselves in Ortona again, we will definitely stop by. 5 well-deserved stars

31/08/2025: The flavors I found here reminded me of my childhood and the homemade cooking of my mother, who was originally from Gissi. My family and I ate there for lunch and dinner, and everything was delicious. The owner and his wife are wonderful people who made us feel right at home. With love, Franco and family from Turin.

25/08/2025: Excellent dinner, Massimo, the owner, is a delightful person. The hot and cold appetizers are delicious. The meat under the coppa is delicious, and you absolutely must try it (reservation required). I highly recommend this truly relaxing place, with authentic Abruzzo cuisine.

20/08/2025: Nothing to say, I went for lunch, for a quick and light meal. I had a Greek salad and my wife had chicken curry with basmati rice and avocado: everything was really tasty, beautifully presented and above all... with a smile. Long live this place too 🙌

13/01/2025: When we want a good pizza and find a seat, we come to Karibu's for thin pizza and ''scrocchiarella'', as my son says; some flavors have been classic for years but honestly I don't want to change them... The top for us The Mediterranean for the red ones and the buffalo and wild boar for the white ones... Even the fish and the fish first courses that we see taken by the other customers , they look and smell beautiful, but we haven't had a chance to taste them yet.

03/08/2025: Consigliato da una nostra amica del posto ci siamo trovati in questo posto meraviglioso. In estate hanno una terrazza molto bella dove si stava freschi e si respirava un'atmosfera di vacanza, il proprietario gentilissimo ha accolto anche la nostra richiesta di poterci spostare poiché avevamo le casse della musica molto vicine e spesso è venuto al nostro tavolo per vedere se tutto procedeva al meglio. Abbiamo preso 3 primi di mare e poi nn potevamo nn assaggiare i famosi arrosticini...che dire porzioni giuste e cotto tutto alla perfezione. Per concludere caffè e un dolce tipico loro ( una cialda con cannella arrotolata con dentro della crema appena fatta) Tutto buono e il servizio eccellente ,il titolare e tutta la sua famiglia si vede che è un lavoro che fanno con il cuore

26/07/2025: Location fantastica molto accogliente e personale ottimo. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e soprattutto cibo di qualità. Abbiamo passato una serata di intrattenimento puro. Sicuramente ritorneremo.

08/08/2025: The cashiers are very kind and friendly but the prices are just not up to par, 15 euros for 4 pieces of pizza and a supplì, crazy markups not even in Parioli.

30/08/2025: Terrible appetizer from Eurospin: 3 slices of cured meat as thin as a sheet of paper, 2 pieces of awful cheese, 8 euros. Kiosk cover charge 2.50 euros. Never again.

27/04/2025: Il locale è accogliente e si parcheggiata agevolmente nelle vicinanze. Il menù degustazione è altamente consigliato, meno di 50 euro ma un pasto veramente completo! Gli antipasti sono buonissimi, i primi TOP, come i secondi! Buoni i vini, come i contorni ed il resto. Personale cortese ed efficiente!

11/05/2025: Fabio is great. His spectacular family has always supported him in the business. A place where you eat well with the right quality/price ratio. Absolutely recommended not only to tourists who visit Francavilla al Mare in the summer. TOP!!!
