15/08/2025: We spent August 15th in this truly magnificent place... peace... tranquility and a truly beautiful artificial lake... the food is excellent, the staff are kind and helpful... there is also an area equipped for barbecues, we will definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality

It's the best restaurant on the Trabocchi Coast. Beware of the bad reviews; the restaurant offers excellent value for money. Recommended; try it and believe it.

21/09/2025: I had a wonderful meal: the mussels with pepper was fabulous, the chitarra pasta with clams, the octopus salad, and the excellent wine! Everything was plentiful and reasonably priced. Reservations are a must; it's always busy. They don't offer table service, but that's certainly not a problem! Highly recommended!

21/09/2025: Beautiful place, but the service was too slow and distracted. We sat down at a table for coffee, after waiting more than 10 minutes in the vain hope that someone would come to take our order. We saw other people who had arrived much later than us, whose orders were being taken and their orders brought right away, and the waiters were circling us. I wondered: are we invisible? So I had to go in and say we'd been sitting for a while and that if we needed to go inside for coffee, it was no problem. I was told someone would arrive. We waited some more, and after a bit more waiting, we saw other people who had just been seated place their orders and immediately receive their drinks. Only then did they come to us. We were about to leave. Then, calmly, very calmly, the coffees arrived, with a clearly annoyed waitress greeting and chatting amicably with the people at the other tables who had arrived after us and were served immediately. I understand that I'm a tourist, that we don't know each other, but if we have to make friends to be considered, please say so. Maybe it was better to get up and leave. Thanks for the coffee. At least it was good.

13/09/2025: The marina is a resort boasting every comfort. The brand-new facility is enchanting. The cuisine is truly excellent...we've often dined at Pontile Smeraldo, and I must say that despite the restaurant always being extremely popular, the staff is extremely well-organized...especially kudos to the blond guy. He's truly talented, helpful, and kind like few others.

I don't need to talk about the food—obviously, I like it, otherwise I wouldn't be coming here so often—but I'd give the staff ten stars. The girls are friendly and approachable, yet professional, patient, and kind! The best staff in Ortona, hands down!

22/08/2025: Quiet, clean, and welcoming place. Fantastic staff. Kindness and friendliness. The girl who served us and took our orders was very friendly and cheerful (EXCELLENT SERVICE). We had burgers (EXCELLENT), a rustic appetizer, fries, various appetizers, and a first course... All really good. The pizzas, focaccias, and panzerotti looked inviting (we'll be back to try them). What else can I say? We had a great time and we recommend it.

28/09/2025: Typical trattoria cuisine. Generous and delicious dishes, from appetizers to dessert. The owner and staff are friendly and professional. If you're looking for a quiet place where you can eat like you're at home, this is the place. Very reasonable prices... I recommend it.

23/09/2025: We had a wonderful stay! The property is meticulously maintained, down to the smallest detail, and is in a truly perfect location. Our room with a sea view was simply stunning: waking up to that view was priceless. We felt welcomed and pampered, just like at home. Highly recommended!

20/08/2025: We went after reading these reviews. It's truly a mystery, our experience was horrendous. The wait was endless, the food was shameful, the quality and quantity ridiculous, and there's no menu, everything was just spoken. They only have a menu for the pizzeria, but they also serve meat and fish without menus or prices. When we got the bill at the cashier, we asked for the cost details and paid. Then, after leaving, we realized the total didn't match. Perhaps they treat tourists differently in August than they do with locals during the year. I can't find any other explanation for the positive reviews. If you're a tourist like us, I highly recommend you don't go.

29/07/2025: A very aptly named restaurant, it feels like you're eating with family. I discovered it by chance and it's been a regular dinner spot for my wife and I. Everything is authentic; I really enjoyed the pizza, which was very easy to digest. The prices are fair and affordable. I highly recommend it.

15/09/2025: Yesterday for lunch I went to eat with my family, including two small children. We had two appetizers, a first course, a second course, a half-liter of red wine, a liter of Coca-Cola, and a pasta dish for my son, and that's it... In my opinion, €65 without a receipt is a bit too much.

26/08/2025: The property is located near Lanciano, in a strategic area for enjoying the Trabocchi Coast every day and taking trips inland. The rooms are welcoming, clean, and comfortable, with private verandas, a small kitchen, and the option of dining on the veranda. But we rarely did so, because dining on the property was a pleasure for the senses and the soul: the food is excellent, and the hosts, Lorenzo and Nadia, are extremely kind, affable, and friendly. They listened to our needs and requests and always accommodated us. Lorenzo is also an excellent guide and will be able to advise you on the best villages and festivals to visit during your stay. You can also purchase the farm's excellent products (primarily olive oil and wine). Everything (stay, dinners, and products) is at very fair prices! The only downside is the lack of a washing machine, which can be a bit of a nuisance during extended stays. However, there is a coin-operated laundromat very close to Lanciano. We returned again this year and nothing has changed!! Thanks for the wonderful vacation!

03/10/2025: We go to southern Italy every two years or so. On the way back, a visit to Il Carro is practically a must, because contrary to all expectations, everything is excellent there. We think the food is very good, as is the service and ambiance. All the staff are friendly and serve very quickly. It's a real shame there isn't a restaurant like this across the street. We would definitely stop there. By the way, this restaurant is also clean and well-maintained. The same goes for the restrooms.
