22/02/2026: Really disappointing meal The mananager started by berating staff in front of the whole restaurant. I was the served stone cold fish. It took them over 10 mins to react once I told them. They then bought a hot plate for me to heat my own fish. They eventually sent it back to the kitchen to reheat which came back with the sauce a concealed mess. Could have been fantastic if the manager new how to run a restaurant. Big disappointment.

26/08/2025: This was our second visit to this place, and we had a great time once again. It's perfect for a quick lunch during our days in the area. Fresh food, fast and friendly service. The poke bowls are rich in ingredients yet light and tasty; the salmon sandwich was also really good. The fries were generous and above-average. A simple but quality place, definitely worth recommending.

16/03/2026: This historic restaurant is located at the entrance to Cansano (TE). I think it's the only one in the province where arrosticini still cost 80 cents, and both the classic ones and the liver ones are delicious. They don't have pizza on the menu. The waiters were professional and quick to serve us. The only thing I'd say could be improved is the table layout, but above all, they'd buy new, more comfortable chairs. If you want to go and eat meat (which is also good) without feeling like you're paying too much at the end, I highly recommend it.

18/03/2026: Excellent experience. We started with their appetizer, where the chickpeas and beans were heavenly. Homemade pasta was delicious. The grilled scamorza and meat were superb. It's not a Michelin-starred restaurant, but it's very reminiscent of the meals our grandmothers used to prepare. Friendly and kind service. Recommended.

16/03/2026: Wonderful welcome, warm and inviting location. Excellent service, and sensational grilled meat. We had delicious ricotta and spinach ravioli, grilled cockerel, and grilled lamb. Good value. We'll definitely be back.

05/04/2026: I'm sad to leave this review because the service was top-notch: the owner and his son were super helpful. Except... The menu: roughly 3 choices. Okay, you're an Abruzzo trattoria, so it's okay to serve a few dishes, but at least a Pallotta cacio e ova? A liver arrosticini? A salad???!!! The food: First course: chitarrina alla teramana, loose, low-quality tomato, but overall okay. Chitarrina ferfellone (crusco pepper) and anchovies. It was like eating a tube of anchovy paste (€1 at the supermarket) and a liter of olive oil: it felt like spaghetti all'assassina, but with the very strong anchovy flavor. Second course: average arrosticini (in Abruzzo, average-low). Mixed roast: small plate with 1 sausage, 1 piece of pancetta, and two other pieces of meat thrown in there. Meager, sad. Side dishes: frozen fries. The price is obviously the highlight (kebabs still under a euro!), but the quality of the food is terrible. I hope this comment isn't a judgment, but rather a suggestion: it wouldn't take much to become a respectable restaurant! But start removing all those fake plants, add more lighting, and offer quality products. A family restaurant can't bring that level of cuisine to the table. Good luck for the future!

25/06/2025: Thirty years ago, the beach resort and restaurant were under the same management. Then, changes occurred, first simply changing ownership, leaving the organization unchanged. Subsequently, the new owners continued to manage the beach resort independently, but entrusted the restaurant business to other parties, who changed over the years, sometimes suddenly. Currently, the restaurant is open year-round and offers good food and beverage service, but it still lacks the excellence that only the perseverance and experience of the staff, deeply rooted in the area, can offer customers. I'm confident that this final touch will soon be achieved; perseverance and continuity will be enough, and signs of improvement are emerging. The La Caravella beach resort deserves a different story entirely. Thanks to its extensive and long-standing experience in the field, it provides beachgoers with an excellent service, further enhanced by its strategic location. The owners are always friendly and available to accommodate guests, who benefit from both the parking available and the easy access to the place. It is also very accessible to those with disabilities.
