06/01/2026: A wonderful end to a fantastic weekend in Abruzzo! I've been wanting to take the regional train from Terni to L'Aquila and Sulmona for years, and I finally did. A fantastic start to the year, sealed with a final evening at this place. The pane burro e alici (bread, butter, and anchovies) were TOP with the Margarita! We'll be back, guys—that's not a promise, but a certainty! 😎

Opening hours aren't very clear, but on this Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was open for lunch. Simple and delicious food, reasonably priced, and the cheesecake for dessert was absolutely fantastic!

06/01/2026: Everything was beautiful and super cozy. I had kindly asked for a dessert in the room because it was my boyfriend's birthday, and they obliged. 😍 The only thing I'm saying is that the double bed, with two single beds pushed together, is a bit uncomfortable; one of them ends up in the middle of the bed if it moves too much. 😂 I'd add a Smart TV, but otherwise, everything was beautiful. The mountain view was wonderful, it was a shame to leave.

01/01/2026: The hotel is in a great location, and although it's truly dated—especially the rooms—it has everything you need. The staff, especially the owner, is very friendly and helpful. There are a few things we didn't like: * Two nights for two with breakfast and New Year's Eve dinner cost a whopping €650 (quite a lot for a 3-star hotel), but the sauna and Turkish bath are available for a fee (€30 per person!). * Even on January 1st, you have to vacate your room by 10:30 (no flexibility for those who attended the New Year's Eve dinner). * At New Year's Eve dinner, some dishes arrived cold, which is understandable with so many people, but still a shame.

16/12/2025: A little out of the way if you don't have a car in Teramo (26 euros for a taxi from the station), but definitely worth it. Very generous breakfast and friendly staff.

30/03/2026: During our stay, we encountered several major problems that significantly affected the quality of the accommodation. During our stay, there was a power outage, which significantly limited the functioning of the room and the entire hotel. When we asked, the owner directly told us that he was not responsible for the situation and that this was a recurring problem that he had no control over. If we had known this fact in advance, we would have considered choosing another, more stable accommodation. At the same time, the restaurant, which is presented as part of the services, was not in operation. In addition, there was no hot water in the shower - after being notified, we were told that "it will be running in a moment", however, even after a few minutes, the situation did not change. The most serious problem was the occurrence of insects directly in the bed linen. I consider this condition to be completely unacceptable from a hygienic point of view. We documented the situation with photographs. When we pointed out this problem, the owner reacted inappropriately and with inappropriate humor instead of trying to solve it. During the communication, the owner repeatedly responded in a way that did not seem professional, for example by making remarks to the effect that we thought the weather could affect it. We did not consider such an approach to be adequate in the given situation. I would like to emphasize that our primary concern was not a refund, but an adequate solution to the situation and an approach from the accommodation provider. At the time we were dealing with the situation, we had already decided to end our stay, however, we expected at least a professional and helpful response from the owner. Unfortunately, this did not happen, including any apology for the problems that arose. We proposed to pay only for one night that we actually spent at the hotel, even though, given the situation, we had reason to expect full compensation. However, the owner insisted on paying an additional amount related to the terms of the reservation, which in our opinion should be resolved by the hotel. In the end, we agreed on a compromise, as we try to avoid conflict situations. In the end, we ended our stay early, agreed to only a partial refund and moved to another hotel at short notice during a very unpleasant rain. I would also like to say that the staff was helpful and pleasant, in their case we were satisfied. The review is based on our personal experience and I recommend that other guests carefully consider the current state of services and the attitude of the accommodation provider before booking.

23/06/2025: Nestled among the most authentic folds of the territory, Il Sestante Street Food presents itself as a must-see for those seeking true taste, without frills but with a lot of warmth. Here tradition meets authenticity, offering moments of pure gastronomic pleasure that go far beyond a simple quick meal. We have had the pleasure of tasting, several times, their porchetta: fragrant, juicy, with a crunchy crust that tells of proper and loving cooking for the product. In fact it is good and Very ordinary and remotely similar to the excellence of other Italian areas. The chips - golden and crunchy - accompany everything with simplicity and taste, while the provola pasta, stringy and not tasty, completes everything. The welcome is sincere Neapolitan, like feeling at home (or better yet, in famigliamici). Each visit is a return to something known, a small refuge of goodness. An address that does not try to amaze with special effects, but conquers with the constant quality and humanity of the service. Sestante Street Food: a fixed point to try at least once in your life.... and then say I tried it...

08/12/2025: I'm so happy I ate at this restaurant; the staff was wonderful, as was the food. The mountain setting is perfect for a lovely family afternoon. The food arrived super quickly, in about 10-15 minutes, even though there were a lot of us. The restaurant has a bar, a pub, and a restaurant with a beautiful fireplace that gives it a mountain cabin feel. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
