17/11/2024: Like feeling at home. Pietro, the host (the owner), very welcoming and friendly. Very nice place, characteristic and typical. The simple and quality food as if you were eating in the home of a typical Abruzzo family. Recommended

12/11/2024: Pietro and his family make you feel at home. Unique welcome, friendliness and quality lunch. One of the things that surprised me most pleasantly was the dinner, Pietro manages it (if you want) by uniting all the guests' tables and we are all happily together like friends. Beautiful.

12/02/2025: I was very impressed by the vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free varieties. We all ate heartily despite the various intolerances. There was meticulous attention to everyone, there was no distinction between a gluten free dish and the one from the "classic" menu. I have rarely noticed this aspect in other places, in fact you often have to make do. Compliments! The first courses (pumpkin timbale) and desserts (dark chocolate mousse with currants) were very tasty. The mixed starter (5 courses) did not particularly impress me. Next time I will come back to try the meat as it looked really inviting and tender.

10/03/2025: Totally negative. After years we returned with great expectations to this restaurant where we ate excellent cod at a fair price. Terrible service and quantity significantly reduced compared to the past. Plus the price has gone up too much. Honestly, 45 euros is absolutely not worth it. Strongly not recommended

07/04/2025: Restaurant located in the central Piazza Garibaldi of Sulmona, a stone's throw from the large Santa Chiara car park. We had some appetizers, including a grilled first course and some sautéed vegetables, both of which were amazing. The pizza was the real surprise, very good, crunchy and light, similar to Roman pizza. Excellent prices, service a little to be tested and acoustics not exactly excellent. I recommend it.

16/03/2025: We ate excellent dishes and delicious homemade bread! The pork fillet with caramelized Tropea onions on mashed potatoes is exceptional. The impeccable service. Truly a beautiful discovery in the heart of splendid Sulmona.

23/02/2025: I was recently invited to the La Corniola restaurant in Pescocostanzo to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had never had the opportunity to visit it before, and I must say that it was a pleasant discovery. The place is very elegant and well-kept, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. It is not surprising that it is recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, given the high level of cuisine and service offered. I chose a soup with porcini mushrooms, rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. Another notable dish was the egg with truffle. The selection of meats for the main courses is equally impressive. The quality of the meat is evident, and every bite was a pleasure. The wine list is well-stocked, with a cellar offering a wide range of both local and international labels. To conclude on a sweet note, we enjoyed a cake prepared directly from the restaurant kitchen, which fully met our expectations. The prices are absolutely average, especially considering the high quality of the dishes and the service. Compared to other restaurants in the area, La Corniola stands out for its culinary excellence and attention to detail. Without a doubt, I will return to this restaurant on future occasions, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to enjoy a high-level gastronomic experience in Pescocostanzo.

20/02/2025: Excellent restaurant located at the Relais Ducale, Mrs. Barbara manages this elegant restaurant with her staff which offers revisited traditional dishes. Courtesy and quality are the backdrop to the excellent food and an excellent selection of wine. The homemade pasta is a plus that I recommend trying. During my stay everyone was kind and helpful, fulfilling every request related to our two-year-old child. I recommend booking.

07/12/2024: Locale rinnovato con una deliziosa saletta di appoggio. Le piadine sono sempre buonissime ed hanno mantenuto prezzi giusti. Assolutamente consigliato e complimenti ai ragazzi per la pulizia e l’efficiente gestione.

12/02/2025: Small but well-kept place. Excellent food. Everything was very good, from the appetizers to the first courses, ending with grilled and fried dishes, always of high quality. The staff is very kind and helpful. Better to book to be sure of having a reserved table.

30/03/2025: The thing that makes me angriest is that I point out at the cash register that the octopus was inedible and burnt and the lady makes me pay €16 instead of €20. Speechless.

30/03/2025: Decent food, service that pays little attention to customer requests. The most serious thing was having ordered a second course which consisted of octopus and four potatoes, in which the octopus was rubbery and completely burnt and having had to pay for it despite the polite warning. We received a discount of 4 euros on the total cost of the dish equal to 20 euros. A mockery and a shame considering that the 20 euros for the dish were certainly paid for by the octopus which was inedible.

15/10/2024: Every time I'm in the area I stop to have lunch in this place....top products at the right price.....and then for me I love buffalo mozzarella this is the ideal place...absolutely recommended.

04/01/2025: Short review, 4 years after the last time! They have gotten worse, unfortunately, over time. Let's start from the first sore point: upon arrival there was no one at the reception, we spent 5 minutes waiting for someone to welcome us. We open the menu and find it different from the one published in the morning, they inform us that they have just updated it. Very bad, given that I had come specifically for a dish which was no longer available on the menu. Patience, we order 2 starters and 2 first courses. The focaccia of 4 years ago was very different from the current one, that is, two slices of toasted bread with little seasoning (including pieces of oxidized basil, not cut at the moment). They bring me bottled beer and unfortunately I notice that it was already open: there could be anything in that bottle, and in fact it felt like drinking colored water. They bring us the first course, the amatriciana, and here I am really disappointed: raw pasta, as if it hadn't seen water, in a frothy sauce clearly passed through the mixer, without depth or soul. The only positive thing was the pillow. Last annoyance, the place was very cold, I didn't keep my jacket on for etiquette. All this for the modest sum of €60, for 2 slices of toasted bread and 50g of amatriciana X2! At least I keep my figure 🤣
