09/11/2025: Pizza: a little smaller than usual, good toppings, but rubbery dough. Spaghetti was quite good, but too much tomato sauce. Prices were slightly higher than elsewhere, €3 for a cover charge. Attentive and friendly staff. Too much confusion due to the lady at the counter talking loudly to the staff and customers.

11/11/2025: I had fond memories of this restaurant, and I admit that the food was no exception: beautiful presentation, good-quality fish, and intriguing menu combinations that turned out to be delicious on the plate. The only sore point is the service, which isn't far from the city average, which is a shame for a restaurant of this caliber. My most recent experience a few days ago, at the zushi, wasn't pleasant at all, in this regard. I arrived accompanied to the restaurant, around 9 pm on a Saturday, without a reservation. So much so, that I asked the first waitress I met if she was available to eat, even though the restaurant was conspicuously empty: there were, I think, five tables occupied in the entire restaurant, out of a total of at least 30 (it's very large and spacious). She smiled and told me we could come in, while the rest of the staff looked us over at the entrance and then ignored us without bothering to say hello. I know the limitations of this city and I don't pay attention to certain things anymore—this is an example, so no surprises so far. We're shown to a very sad table in the corner of a corridor, next to the kitchen doors (I repeat: with 80% of the tables free). My underlying thought (I'm a very polite person—too polite in these situations) explains itself: there must be some logistical reason why they'd assigned us this tiny, out-of-the-way table. A waitress, different from the one who welcomed us, first brings us the menus, then comes every three minutes to take our orders. On the third visit, we pretend to be ready because we're feeling so uncomfortable, I ask her if they're closing early. She, as if out of the clouds, replies no, that they'll close after 11 PM. At that point, I'm shocked because it's 9:20 PM and I feel like I'm disturbing just by coming in and being shown to Frodo Baggins's table. Shortly afterward, a 40x40 cm plate arrives, along with two smaller plates with EVERYTHING we ordered (gunkan, rolls, nigiri, etc.—lucky we still have this habit of ordering coffee, dessert, and liqueurs at the end). I sarcastically point this out to the waitress, who clearly doesn't understand, or isn't interested, and doesn't respond, even though she herself is having trouble finding room for all the "delivery" on that tiny table. After playing Tetris with the plates with us, and a "bon appétit" as she turns away, the waitress leaves us and we eat. No one comes to ask us anything else, even though we're in a spot where everyone is forced to pass by... over and over again. Now, I can understand everything, really, but if I want service like that, I'll go to an all-you-can-eat restaurant. If, on the other hand, you want me to fork over €50 each for sushi (let's realize we're not talking about the catch of the day), you owe me, at the very least, a modicum of consideration, without making me feel like a "bother" to the staff, as I expect from a place of this supposed caliber. I'll once again speak in favor of the dishes I ordered, which I found to be the only positive aspect of the evening. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me less than satisfied with the evident expertise displayed in the kitchen.

19/10/2025: Clean place with very friendly staff, clear menu (not at all obvious for those who don't eat raw fish). Delicious food! Highly recommended restaurant!

09/11/2025: A sure thing, the first 10 days of every month. Excellent cold cuts, and the hot pancetta is a must-try. The hot dishes are also good.

28/08/2025: From the outside, you wouldn't give it two cents. Once you're inside, you'd give it a hundred thousand, the food and drink are so good. Prices are as low as they used to be. A must-stop every time I go to or from the station.

07/08/2025: Dear Arezzo visitors, Today we went to a small, charming restaurant in the old town to enjoy the atmosphere with a drink. Although the restaurant was almost empty, the waiter immediately informed us that we only had 20 minutes, as the place is primarily a restaurant and not a bar. This welcome was unfortunately anything but warm and immediately dampened the mood. Since the waiter subsequently neither responded to eye contact nor hand signals, we couldn't stick to the 20-minute time limit, as we were unable to pay. So we sat there for 35 minutes, even though we would have liked to leave earlier. It's a shame that such a beautiful place scares away its guests with unfriendly service. Unfortunately, you don't feel welcome here.

25/08/2025: We had the fixed-price menu for lunch. Everything was truly delicious, with a choice of three first courses, three second courses, and three side dishes, or pizza, including a drink and coffee. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. The place, which I remembered as "Le Casate," was lovely. We'll probably go back for dinner next time. Well done, guys, keep up the good work.

06/12/2025: I ordered a crispy cutlet WITHOUT sauce and it arrived WITH sauce. Furthermore, the dessert "Crepe with mascarpone and berries" arrived cold, with the mascarpone cream inside cold and the berries frozen. Failed!

19/11/2025: Good Neapolitan cuisine, clean place, friendly, kind and fast, reasonable prices, offers a fixed menu for 14 euros and off-menu options with fair prices. I recommend it and I will go back as soon as I return to these parts.

25/10/2025: Very friendly and helpful staff, the kebab is absolutely delicious, the prices are reasonable and the location is quiet.

21/10/2025: Finally a Chinese restaurant with excellent, abundant dishes, cooked very well, really worth returning to.

14/10/2025: A great option if you're in Trieste and craving some Chinese cuisine. A lovely atmosphere, good service, and above all, very well-prepared and delicious food. The prices are also quite good and affordable. The menu is varied with excellent options of all kinds. Absolutely recommended 🤩

26/05/2025: Excelente comida. Teníamos el pollo y la tagliata de ternera, ambos muy tiernos y cocinados por expertos. El vino de la casa era un delicioso merlot. Ambiente muy relajado y acogedor. Tenemos nuestro conserje del hotel para agradecer la recomendación, ya que desde la calle parece un bar de vinos. Está a dos cuadras del lugar donde atracan los cruceros, por lo que es muy céntrico.

09/03/2025: Como recomendó el conserje en nuestro (excelente) hotel en Trieste, esto fue acogedor, buena comida, super elección de vinos por copa y buena relación calidad-precio. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Tuvimos una comida variada y magníficamente ejecutada - el sarro de ternera y el pollo lento - cocinado eran ambos sobresalientes - y cuando el conserje del hotel y sus colegas llegaron para su almuerzo, entendimos su recomendación! No lo dudes.

23/02/2025: Pizza super, impasto leggero e ingredienti di prima scelta. Servizio attento e professionale ( ma come in tutti i locali tirano via il piatto quando ancora hai l ultimo boccone). Bello il locale ma faceva un po’ freddino.

27/11/2025: Simple, family-friendly place. Run by a mother and daughter. The staff are incredibly kind and always smiling...as is the waitress. The food is excellent, and the beer is delicious 🍻 (I haven't tried the wine). The daughter always explained the various food preparation methods to us. I think it's the best in the summer because you can enjoy your meal outside under the trees. Overall, highly recommended. TOP.

25/11/2025: A place with great potential, but it's a shame that one of the staff members complained about the children playing and not about the dogs that wouldn't stop barking, making conversation difficult.

07/12/2025: Unfortunately, I only stayed one night with a small group of friends. We couldn't have asked for anything better... welcoming, clean, and we were treated with every care and attention; the owners were extremely helpful. The location is top-notch, and the view is stunning. See you soon, I hope.

29/08/2025: A very nice, family-friendly place that makes you feel welcome right away. The rooms are warm and equipped with everything you need. Breakfast is good and plentiful. I stayed here in mid-August, and if I ever have the opportunity, I'll definitely come back.
