17/05/2025: ... era quello che cercavamo, spritz, tramezzini, dolcetto e un ottimo caffé per un veloce spuntino a pranzo. Frequentazione locale, professionalità, ottimo.

11/03/2025: Dinner with friends and pizza pick-up in the restaurant. We got pizza by the meter. The dough was fragrant, well-risen, dry but not dry. The filling made with care and very rich and abundant. The grilled vegetables were very good (certainly prepared by them because they did not have the aftertaste of preserved vegetables). The reviews are mixed. Personally I was fully satisfied and will return.

02/06/2025: L'Osteria al Castello non è solo un ristorante, è un'esperienza completa dove la buona cucina si sposa con un ambiente mozzafiato. Un luogo dove gustare piatti tradizionali eccellenti e vivere un'atmosfera magica in mezzo alla natura. Il vero punto di forza di questa osteria è senza dubbio la possibilità di mangiare all'esterno nello splendido giardino, in una cornice idilliaca che rende l'esperienza non solo un pasto, ma un vero e proprio momento di benessere. Venendo al cibo, le aspettative sono state pienamente ripagate. I tagliolini al tartufo sono stati un trionfo di sapori. Non da meno gli spaghetti alla carbonara, preparati con maestria e rispetto della tradizione, dimostrando la cura e la qualità degli ingredienti utilizzati.

27/05/2025: Sinceramente molto ma molto sotto le aspettative! Premessa...cena con amici...in pratica 2 coppie. Partiamo dagli aspetti positivi...posto a dir poco spettacolare ed immerso nel verde e fiori a 360 gradi...il tutto tenuto in maniera maniacale quasi a sfiorare la perfezione! Detto ciò iniziamo con le note dolenti... Fin da subito notiamo una certa insistenza da parte del personale di sala che dopo poco diventa a dir poco imbarazzante ed opprimente. Ci viene proposto come aperitivo una bottiglia di birra con aggiunta di mosto di sauvignon che accettiamo volentieri sia per la novità sia perché riteniamo possa essere nella portata delle nostre "tasche"...solo a fine cena quando ci viene presentato il conto scopriamo la sorpresina ...31€ per una bottiglia da 75 cl che poi veniamo a sapere essere venduta al dettaglio a 10€! Per quanto concerne le portate invece diciamo che erano apprezzabili, ben presentate ed in linea con le aspettative visto che trattasi di un "hostaria" o qualcosa di più. Abbiamo preso due antipasti condivisi in 4, 4 primi e 4 dolci acqua e l'incriminata bottiglia iniziale, per un totale di circa 45€ a persona. In sintesi...location favolosa ma non in linea soprattutto con la qualità e professionalità del servizio!

07/06/2025: Wonderful location, overlooking the bay of Trieste; excellent dishes: the squid ink is always a guarantee, and the off-menu dishes with seasonal fish are a pleasant surprise; friendly, punctual, precise service; refined background music that is never too loud. 07/06/2025: Fabulous place, a sort of oasis on the pre-Trieste seafront. Super-curated music and atmosphere, tables that touch the sea, a relaxed environment and sunny and smiling staff. A dream to find yourself in.

02/06/2025: After arriving at the place, it turns out that the accommodation booked on a well-known portal is closed. Complete lack of contact with anyone from this place. Never again. I advise against it.

26/05/2025: Di corsa dopo un tour con audioguida della splendida Trieste e pronti a tuffarsi in nuova avventura a Miramare. Soliti tempi e solita qualità. Un pallino in più per la gentilezza del ragazzo che ci ha servito. Meno automa rispetto ad altri locali della medesima catena.

17/06/2025: Era da un po’ che volevo provare questo posticino, anche perché avevo sentito pareri contrastanti sulla cucina proposta; quindi, ero curiosa di farmi un’opinione personale. Il menù è piuttosto essenziale, ma con alcune proposte interessanti e originali. Abbiamo ordinato dei taglieri di salumi e formaggi da condividere, davvero di ottima qualità. Io ho scelto anche dei macaron salati con diverse guarnizioni: l’idea è curiosa, ma il biscotto era poco friabile e non semplicissimo da mangiare. Consiglierei di ridurre leggermente la dimensione per renderli più pratici. Come primo piatto ho preso un orzotto con zucchine, caprino e olio alla menta. La presentazione era molto curata, ma il gusto piuttosto piatto: non si percepiva bene né il sapore del caprino né l’aroma dell’olio alla menta. Nel complesso la cucina non mi ha convinta del tutto, ma consiglio comunque il posto per un aperitivo al tramonto, anche solo per godersi il paesaggio e l’atmosfera

20/04/2025: Posto come sempre fantastico, ideale per un aperitivo, soprattutto se goduto all'esterno. Gli affettati discreti, per i formaggi stiamo ancora attendendo di conoscere che formaggi erano. Il secondo un disastro, una tagliata di pollo cotta a bassa temperatura, che non era tagliata, di sapore indefinito con punte di limone. Anche il dolce , cheesecake, non corrispondeva alle aspettative, alla fine era una crostatina alla ricotta e neppure troppo buona . Peccato, perché in passato questo locale era per noi un riferimento per la cucina genuina e tradizione con vari da 10 e lode.

25/02/2025: The pizzas are very good and perfect for an impromptu lunch. It's a shame for the lack of professionalism of the staff who prefer to talk to colleagues rather than pay attention to the customer; thus creating long waits for everyone. I hope this gets fixed so I can change my opinion. UPDATE I don't know if they've changed the staff or simply lately I've been lucky with the shifts, but the staff has definitely improved (different people from those in the old review) and consequently I think it's right to update the review, great job!

21/05/2025: It is a fairly dated hotel and would need some renovation. On the other hand, the owners are very kind and helpful. The rooms are perhaps the thing that leaves the most to be desired. The food is well-kept and also, substantially, of good quality. The location is exceptionally beautiful. I think it is difficult to think of a more beautiful view. The parking is adequate, the place very quiet. Good value for money.

19/02/2025: Horrible. If you stay in "room" one you will find a beautiful fresco/painting that serves to mask cracks that run along all four walls, disturbing. Non-existent wardrobe but there is a shelf covered by a curtain which says it all: paradise for dust and mites. Uncomfortable beds with very hard mattresses and pillows. Bathroom let's draw a pitiful veil, I think the one on train carriages is wider. The toilet in front of the shower is impossible to sit upright, you make it strange by sitting on the side. The hairdryer and the telephone didn't work, luckily we had a hairdryer brought from home. Cold room especially at night. There are a couple of power sockets and if you need to charge your cell phone you have to unplug the battery. Towels never changed in a week, same for the sheets. The food is truly indescribable. Buffet dinner served everything on one plate: pasta, side dish, meat, bread. The poor breakfast. Shuttle bus for transporting tourists to the slopes is uncomfortable and leaves you waiting in the cold for hours, key word: disorganisation. I definitely wouldn't recommend it

11/06/2025: A vedersi sembra una modesta trattoria poi vai a cena e il cibo è veramente ottimo. Sicuramente ci torneremo ogni volta che passeremo da Trieste. SUPER TOP

03/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati a cena una sera in 8 per una cena completa. Malgrado ci fossero molti tavolini liberi ci hanno permesso di sederci solo unendo due minuscoli tavolini… capite che stavamo strettini!!! Il resto tutto buono anche in rapporto al prezzo. Peccato per i modi veramente pessimi del personale

16/06/2025: We were there for dinner four friends ... we ordered the ribs (hot bbq ribs) they arrive normal, ok ... they brought mixed salads, but without olive oil without balsamic vinegar .... we asked for some spicy sauce or maybe bbq sauce they brought us ketchup and mayonnaise !!!! after we ordered the bottle of white wine ... they brought the bottle of hot wine !!!! The service was simply horrible!

07/06/2025: Restaurant inside the Tiare shopping center. In the last months/years the prices have increased more and more and the portions and condiments have decreased. Remember to check the take away because sometimes it happens that sauces or other additions are forgotten.
