02/03/2025: Beautiful place...great food and service...

22/02/2025: ..just us on a Thursday evening... who went in to eat the suckling pig as per the menu posted outside... only to discover once we were seated that it wasn't there. A smell of cigarette smoke, extinguished as soon as they saw us enter by a "friend" who was a guest of the owners who were sitting at the first table and annoyed when we didn't accept them continuing to smoke inside the place. Asked for the wine list but the waiter proposed a merlot for 24 euros (checked on the internet) topped up at 54 euros. Ate bites of fried artichoke with sauce...disappointing and certainly a packaged and frozen product...I had a meat tartare (rated 4) my husband jota from Trieste (good)...I bill 127 euros...disappointing service.The "smoking" inside a restaurant is unacceptable...I speak as an ex smoker! Never again!!!

27/02/2025: Typical tavern of the Friulian villages where you go to drink in the evening. The management "invents" tasting evenings but the service is poor. The chef must be a magician. It has a good palate but not to be defined as a restaurant.

20/03/2025: It is the smallest of the "Il Pane Quotidiano" café bars in Trieste, but no less interesting. The new car park that has just been built is perfect for stopping for a moment, drinking a coffee and enjoying a sweet treat without too many worries. Here every detail is taken care of, and you can feel it. The taste? Always at the top. At this point the only question is: how long until it becomes impossible to find a place here too?

22/01/2025: Yesterday morning while we were drinking some good coffee I found myself faced with a very unpleasant scene towards another customer who was asking for a courtesy and she responded by saying this isn't her house...right or not it's not nice to hear these answers...(the employee in reference it is called fiorella)

23/12/2024: We came to this restaurant with high expectations and ordered the carbonara, a dish we have tasted in many other places. However, we were surprised that the flavor was dominated by a burnt aftertaste, probably due to the bacon, which was overcooked. When we shared our observation, the cook explained that this is how he prepares the dish and that the bacon was "crispy". We understand that each chef has their own style, but this interpretation did not align with our previous experiences with this Italian classic. Other than that, the service was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming. We recommend this place to those looking for something different, but perhaps carbonara is not for everyone.

21/02/2025: Even though it was Thursday evening, we had a very pleasant evening... there was no shortage of fun thanks to an initiative where you can send a shot with a note to a person at another table. Friendly, nice and helpful staff... the wait for the food is long but for the piadina it was worth it, really good. Normal prices (as in all places now)...really nice and welcoming location, with good music. Probably when it fills up with customers it's a bit cramped (not that they can do much except expand the place😂). Good drinks that do their job (some a little watered down). Recommended place

09/02/2025: I've been twice, the first and last time The average age varies between 15 and 22 years between heads with bowl hair and short-cut handicapped heads Low-end cocktails, considering that twice that I went twice I was ill the next morning, which doesn't happen in the other places I often frequent. If you are looking for an evening that is suitable for your pocket money, at the weekend let yourself be taken to this place with €20 and you can have a couple of "drinks"

08/12/2024: Bar absolutely to avoid if you don't want to be ripped off, we went today for an aperitif, there were 5 of us and we had 3 rounds of drinks for a total of 76 euros, and in the end they made us pay another 25 euros for the appetizers that we didn't even have asked. Never happened before. Always be careful to ask first, if you don't want to have unpleasant surprises.

30/09/2024: Ci siamo stati domenica sera, nonostante il bar fosse abbastanza affollato, il ragazzo che ci ha serviti è stato rapidissimo, cordiale e si è fermato anche a scambiare due parole con noi. Ottimo il bere e buonissimo il servizio. Rimango basita nel leggere le brutte recensioni che descrivono una realtà diversa da quella da noi trovata.

02/05/2025: In passing, we only stayed one night. Very kind reception, clean room, we found it sanitized and sealed. Excellent and plentiful breakfast: hot drinks and sweets of all kinds. They are needed, so hygiene is guaranteed. Very efficient and kind even in the breakfast room.

09/11/2024: Very nice and good quality ice cream. Big selection of different tastes. The lady in service was very kind and helpful. The interior of the gelateria is not so nice and needs to be upgraded. Overall recommend it.

27/10/2024: E corrió a este bar por accidente. Probamos solo una cucharada y era genial, cremoso y de gran estructura. Probé el sabor tiramisú.

04/12/2024: Terrible experience at the store. The lady who served me was rude to my mother who had asked for information on the apples and the weight of the bag "if she wears glasses she can see how many kg"... and last but not least she didn't understand that she had to type the receipt and more that of weighing.

26/02/2025: I don't usually write negative reviews but what happened tonight is incredible: we call for a takeaway at 7.30pm we are told that the wait for delivery is 50 minutes, it's raining anyway we accept. An hour and a half passes and not even a sign of the pizzas, so at 8.48pm I call back and am told that the pizza is about to be made and is being prepared. Ok let's wait, 9.09pm I'll call back to ask for info and in advance that if there's a long wait you can cancel the order, he tells me that the pizza is being delivered but that the boy had another delivery before and it's about to arrive (it's 7 minutes from my house to the pizzeria with all the red traffic lights). Result at 9.30pm no trace of the pizza, I force my partner to call, he tells him that he is canceling the order and on the phone the owner doesn't bat an eyelid, so the pizzas hadn't even been put in the oven, nothing but delivery! We have to wait, just say it in advance, but inventing all these lies and taking us for a ride is clearly not! Too bad because we were customers and they will definitely not see us again.
