06/06/2025: I stopped here for lunch, which should have a fixed-price menu to help workers. I decided to save some money by asking to bring only the second course with side dish. When it came to the bill, they asked me for €14 and when I asked for an explanation, they told me that by taking just one course it was made more abundant so the cost was the same as the full menu. Basically, I paid €14 for 4 slices of grilled pork loin filled with salt, half a spoonful of polenta, a portion of mixed salad, water and coffee. Practically a steal, I definitely won't be back.

01/05/2025: Nel cuore antico di Grado, tra le calli strette e pittoresche e all’ombra della solenne Basilica patriarcale paleocristiana, si trova questo ristorante che ci è stato suggerito da gente del posto. Abbiamo iniziato con spaghetti alle cozze e pancetta croccante e sauté di cozze, seguiti da calamari fritti e orata alla griglia. Ho concluso con un croccantino al rum. Il tutto innaffiato con un ottimo Fiore di Campo Lis Neris.

01/06/2025: *Ristorante Corallo, Lignano Sabbiadoro: the worst* My experience at Ristorante Corallo in Lignano Sabbiadoro was a real catastrophe! My family and I ordered a "4 stagioni" pizza and we got a "Fai da te" pizza! When I pointed out the mistake to the waiter, he responded with a sarcastic and rude tone, saying "Yes, that's how it is here". But the worst came when we ordered the house wine, which was served mixed with water! It seemed like it had been left open for 3 days, it was like a spray! What a shame! The service was terrible, the staff seemed to be composed of rude people with no desire to help customers. The response to our complaints was just a series of frowns and dirty looks. *Rating:* -5/5 stars *Advice:* Absolutely avoid eating at this restaurant! The rudeness of the staff, the lack of professionalism and the quality of the food and drinks are unacceptable. I strongly advise against this place to anyone! Go somewhere else!

11/05/2025: After a long wait of about 35 minutes just to take the orders, we waited another 20 to receive the ice creams. Finally, upon payment, after having requested the receipt several times, I realized that there was a calculation error (plus) and I had to point out the error made to the waiter (I hope involuntarily). Years ago there were more competent employees and the service was significantly better. The boy present today was not able to manage customer service independently. Positive note, the quality remains excellent. I hope that the owners do not save on waiters, hiring competent people, who perhaps expect a higher salary.

28/01/2025: I went to the pastry shop a few times to get a tray of pastries or brioches to take away for breakfast with my loved ones. The place is nice and the staff are friendly, the pastry products are fresh but honestly nothing exceptional... despite myself I won't go back again because of the prices. Last time, for 4 croissants (2 empty wholemeal, 1 normal and 1 pistachio) they gave me a bill of 7.70!!! I'm sorry, but they won't see me again

29/05/2025: Not safe for celiacs, I was served contaminated food. When I arrived I told them that I am celiac and if there were safe options especially in terms of contamination; the waitress was very knowledgeable and kindly directed me to the various options explaining that the fried foods were all contaminated given the shared fryer. I was served a gluten-free sandwich but with a basket of French fries next to it, I realized the mistake and sent the dish back to the kitchen. As agreed, I was served French fries from a bag and only once I had finished them did I realize that the basket of fried foods was the same as before as there were French fries stuck to the bottom of the napkin (not even the one replaced). I reported the incident to the waitress, who sincerely apologized, but it is clear that the problem comes from the kitchen and the poor training of those who were present behind the counter on celiac disease. When I spoke to him, I was told that there was a communication error (I don't know what communication error there could be to have everything gluten-free and use the same basket and napkin) and that he "understood" by giving an example with lactose intolerance that "it doesn't take much to make you sick" - equating an autoimmune disease to a simple intolerance (although it should also be taken seriously). When I replied that I will be sick for days due to their lack of seriousness, in the apology in addition to "What can I do, at most offer you the sandwich" (which I paid for anyway) I was told that IF something happens he will take responsibility for it, further highlighting the ignorance on the subject of celiac disease.

04/05/2025: Buone specialità del territorio, sia di mare che di terra, con menù stagionale. Abbiamo provato asparagi in vari modi: in zuppa, gratinati con tonno affumicato (buonissimo piatto), con gamberi a condimento della pasta. Tutto ottimo. Molto buono il gelato con mirtilli caldi (porzione abbondante, da condividere). Prezzo adeguato alla qualità e alla bontà dei piatti, ma non esagerato.

03/05/2025: Rapporto qualità prezzo scorretto, location gradevole ma usano pesce congelato anche per fare uno spaghetto allo scoglio, i calamari fritti duri e gommosi con prezzi stellari! Mai più!!

07/06/2025: I often order home delivery pizza from you and the Bruno pizza and others are great even in terms of delivery times... well unfortunately I have to make a note if I order from home everything is ok, but if you are there in the pizzeria physically they don't even look at you they give priority to the raider service, seen and paid today people on standby for more than 1/2 hour there and nothing I waited 40 minutes for two arancini in the end I left without arancini and they even thanked me,,, I believe you I had already paid 4 euros and not even for the paltry amount but for the vulgarity of these people.... Never again Never again

05/06/2025: To say that Bruno's pizzas are good is an understatement. It is among the best Neapolitan pizzas in Trieste, if not the best. The pasta omelette is spectacular, try it to believe it. I recommend trying the fried or baked escarole pizza.

02/06/2025: We stayed one night I had a single room. The rooms are okay but not modern. There is a disgusting smell in the corridor. It's very central which is nice for a city walk but it was very loud at night till 11:30 pm. The bed isn't on the comfy side but the bummer for me was that there should have been a breakfast at 7:00 o clock and we waited till 7:45 ... There was no stuff at the restaurant and the reception. It was no self-service so we and some other tourists tried to figure out what's going on after we decided to leave the keys at the reception and go the owner and his wife showed up ... Relaxed and not in a hurry ... We asked for some foot to go cause we had an appointment at 8:00 am. We got one croissant which was nice but not worth the waiting

03/05/2025: For the places I had to visit and my walks, it was a great place also in its geographical position. Slept well, comfortable bed, clean room, impeccable bathroom. The bar offers good service. Friendly staff.

29/04/2025: Desiderosi di assaggiare il prosciutto di San Daniele, siamo stati attratti dal menu con proposte diversificate. Il prosciutto ci è sembrato buono, ma più salato di come ci saremmo aspettati. Inoltre avevamo ordinato, come assaggio, un piatto di tagliolini alla trota affumicata (prezzo sugli 11 €) da dividerci in due: la cameriera ha ribattuto "quindi due mezze porzioni", senza specificare altro. Al momento del conto la sgradevole sorpresa: le due mezze porzioni ci sono state fatte pagare 8,00 € l'una, quindi applicando un aumento del 50% sul prezzo dichiarato! Abbiamo fatto presente il nostro disappunto e la giustificazione è stata che si tratta della loro "politica aziendale"... Trovo la cosa molto scorretta, ancor più dopo aver riscontrato che lo stesso inconveniente era già stato riportato in altre recensioni: quindi, poco trasparenti e pure recidivi!

26/04/2025: Ancora seduta al tavolo scrivo, e non per la prima volta (segno che ci ritorno spesso), una recensione di questo locale che resta una garanzia a San Daniele se si vuole gustare il prosciutto e non solo (magnifici i tagliolini con verdure di stagione). Cameriere molto accoglienti, attente e sorridenti. L'ideale per un pasto rapido ma non per pasti in cui si vuole allegramente temporeggiare. Perché allora solo tre pallini nella valutazione? Dolci con prezzo troppo elevato se rapportato a ristorazione di alto livello e pulizia non più quella di un tempo. Seduta non perfettamente pulita (perché liberando il tavolo dallo sporco è ovvio ricada sulla sedia se non si procede a sua volta a pulirla), una chiazza appiccicosa sul tavolo sulla quale ho incollato utilmente lo scontrino della comanda per non perderlo e pulizia perfettibile dei bicchieri; non è facile con tanto movimento di persone ma è fondamentale: insopportabile bere in bicchieri al calice non perfettamente puliti. A parte questi aspetti, facilmente risolvibili con un po' di impegno, continuo a consigliarlo.
