04/05/2025: A tre passi dal centro con l'atmosfera da osteria come si deve (grazie Sara, un sorriso e una battuta a ogni portata stuzzicano l'appetito) e con il cibo della tradizione. I sardoni (cioè le alici per i non triestini) sono una squisitezza, lo strudel anche e in mezzo primi e secondi di pesce e la jota che - suggerisce Sara - si mangia anche ad agosto. Super apprezzata la disponibilità per un menu un po' diverso per gli amico maratoneti. Estremamente consigliato

25/04/2025: Vom Gefühl her kommt man sich als Nicht-Italiener eher "belächelt" vor; aber das ist nur eine persönliche Einschätzung. Das Essen ist eher Standard - nichts Außergewöhnliches, aber i.O. Das Ambiente ist eher, wie in einem Brauhaus bzw. in einerm Eß-Saal: Recht laut und alles wild durcheinander, obwohl das ja auch Charme haben kann. Personal ehre einen "barschen" Ton - aber das ist ein "warmer Kern" :-) Preis-Leistung gut, allerdings ist der Hauswein eher nicht trinkbar. Also: Ordentliches Essen zu angemessenem Preis, aber nicht der richtige "ich gehe Essen"-Flair.

17/08/2025: Thanks so much to Georgio for a wonderful night! By far the best atmosphere we found in a bar in Trieste during our short stay. Georgio was kind and great craic and then he found out we were Irish he played us some Rory Gallagher. It's cash only, not a cocktail vibe but beers and spirits aplenty with good rock and soul music played from CDs. A few sore heads the next day but the memories remain ! X

09/09/2025: We stopped here last week for dinner and the place was already fully booked, but the owner was very kind and welcomed us anyway. The pizza is very good, especially the filling, which is made with quality ingredients.

20/11/2025: The pizza is good, but the staff and management are almost pitiful... It's impossible to order an hour and a half in advance, receive confirmation of availability within a certain timeframe, and receive the pizzas later than agreed upon (mostly cold). Congratulations!

29/08/2025: The most beautiful place in the world, practically my home. The cats are the main attraction, while the glasses of wine are the highlight of all. Weird people and alcoholism are rampant in the best of Friuli Venezia Giulia. I only drink Friuli Venezia Giulia. Worth mentioning is a very friendly employee, she has curly hair and a great appetite for a drink.

12/10/2025: Not every day is sunny in the high mountains, and on that particular day, Lateis was wrapped in a gray cloak of fog. After a long walk, stepping into Pa' Krhaizar felt like entering the warm embrace of an old stone house—a sanctuary that smelled of wood and forgotten stories. Though the view of Lake Sauris, which usually spreads out from the terrace like a watercolor, was hidden behind a veil, the mere thought of it hung in the air, promising a beauty concealed behind the clouds. But in that moment, the warmth inside was more important than the vision outside. Then, that small miracle happened, the kind that stays in the heart longer than any sunlit scene. The bill for the refreshment was so small, yet you only had a large banknote. A moment of awkwardness, quickly resolved by the gentle smile of your waitress. She didn't ask for the change; she didn't fuss about the exchange. She simply waved her hand dismissively at the sixty cents that were missing from the full amount. That gesture, tiny in monetary value, was gigantic in kindness. "Let it be," the silence—and her eyes—said. Thank you, not just for the rest in that beautiful house, but for that moment of pure, unadadulterated human kindness. On a foggy day, that was the clearest and most beautiful view of all: a glimpse into the generosity that makes the mountains even higher and the stay in Lateis truly unforgettable.

17/08/2025: Lured by the very positive reviews, I went to dinner at the hotel restaurant and was disappointed. For an appetizer, a first course, a second course, 1 liter of wine on tap, a bottle of water, and a grappa, I spent 95 euros. In all the other restaurants in the area, I spent (and ate more), not half as much, but almost. The second course (roast rabbit) wasn't great, the price of the wine wasn't listed, and, frankly, 36 euros for a liter of wine is for a bottle, not for the house wine on tap. However, if I had known this beforehand, I wouldn't have ordered it. Even the appetizer, which cost 12 euros on the menu, I paid almost double. It's true that it was a plate (for 1 person) of cured meats and cheeses (instead of just cured meats or just cheeses), but the quantity doesn't justify this extra charge. Again, if they had told me beforehand, I would have thought twice before ordering it! For me it was the only negative experience in Carnia, personally I don't recommend it

26/11/2025: Genuine and natural wine at a good price, with a wide variety to choose from...I have been buying from them for my "home" needs for 3-4 years now and I can only recommend this winery to everyone!!!!

18/09/2025: We've been coming to Paluzza our whole lives. Having relatives in Cleulis, we try to spend at least a few days in our beautiful Carnia every year. This year, we needed to buy some cookies for our shop, but at the last minute, the supplier backed out, and we didn't know what to do. We contacted the ladies at this bakery, and they offered their full support. We were able to purchase cookies, breadsticks, cakes, and many other delicious treats! Their kindness and courtesy are truly rare these days, and the products are always fresh and delicious. Try them!

29/07/2025: Small but well-stocked bakery, offering various types of bread, including walnut, fig, cereal, turmeric, and many others, all very good, especially the tarts.

08/09/2025: The place is charming, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is good. I also had a cookie, which I found to be decent. I discovered they also make gelato, so I'll stop by to try that. I'd recommend it.

15/07/2025: Chef: The food is excellent, it deserves its medals. The waitresses Sara and Cristina are good, kind, and helpful. 😄 A little mischievous and naughty, but still up to the task. They deserve five stars. 👏👏👏👏 The atmosphere and the typical Friulian food!!! Amazing! 🥳🥳🥳 I invite everyone to go.
