13/10/2025: A quaint restaurant with wooden furnishings, mosaic floors, and a fireplace in the center. The walls are adorned with many vintage black-and-white photos that pleasantly transport you back in time. The dishes are carefully prepared, including the delicious tagliatelle and gnocchi, both homemade, as is the frico served with fresh, not pre-cooked, polenta. The house red wine is also good. Prices are reasonable. You can watch football matches in the bar area. There's also outdoor seating. The wait staff, presumably the owners, are courteous but a bit dry. I only gave the service 3 stars because there's no menu; the dishes are "read" by the person taking your order, so you can't take the time to decide what to eat. You don't know the ingredients (thinking of those with allergies and intolerances), and you have no idea of ​​the prices. You're browsing in the dark, which isn't fair.

21/09/2025: This time we didn't really get it, we happened to come across this restaurant by chance, we were greeted with brusque and rude manners, but once we got over this obstacle, which one thinks was due to the large amount of customers (semi-empty place), but oh well, a bad day happens to everyone and you don't give it any weight.. after a while we sit down, and 15/20 minutes have passed, the waiter approaches and asks us what to drink and up to this point, apart from the always rough manners, we order drinks, after another 10/15, another waiter approaches and starts telling us what he can give us to eat, when I ask for a menu to understand prices and ingredients and allergens, I hear the answer here there is no menu, there is only verbal, which I find unacceptable, I think it is right to offer a customer a list, even if minimal, of the dishes with the ingredients and allergens and prices, but after a bit of chatting we trust, and we order 2 main courses and 2 side dishes, simple, the wait continues and yes It drags on until the dishes arrive, and in all this they forget a side dish, but oh well, the service is a bit hit and miss and we hope you leave soon, and continues until the end, then when it comes to paying, the icing on the cake arrives: a slightly too salty bill. We show up, and a bit exhausted by the atmosphere and the wait, we don't complain, and we can't wait to leave... It's a shame, though, that the place is rustic and nice, but I think that such service is unacceptable, and above all the lack of a menu, with 4 dishes and prices, we're not in the Middle Ages... a shame

08/11/2025: The frico and tagliatelle were amazing. The wine was good, and the service was courteous and friendly. Just one comment... the yellowing on the walls spoils the lovely rustic atmosphere.

16/10/2025: Dated restaurant with a family atmosphere. The duck with tagliatelle was excellent, but the second course left much to be desired. It was swimming in oil and very fatty. The baked potatoes were overcooked. The bill was a bit high given the quality of the second course. Good service. Thanks to the waitress, SARA.

28/10/2025: During our journey through the splendid wineries of the Collio Friulano, we had the pleasure of discovering this wonderful osteria immersed in nature, just steps from the Slovenian border. 🌿 A typical, welcoming, and well-kept farmhouse, with ample parking and a relaxed atmosphere that immediately invites you to linger. We were greeted with kindness and professionalism by the host, who guided us through the selection of dishes and wines with great knowledge and passion. We began lunch with a truly excellent appetizer: crostini with excellent cooked ham and a light sprinkling of fresh horseradish—simple yet authentic and perfectly balanced. This was followed by a knife-cut beef tartare with caramelized onion compote and black garlic mayonnaise: the freshest, highest-quality meat, an elegant and delicious dish. On the host's recommendation, we paired everything with a very fresh Chardonnay from Cantina Livon, the perfect companion to a lunch that encapsulated all the essence of Friuli. 🍇 For our first courses, we chose tagliolini with San Daniele ham and poppy seeds, tasty and delicate, reflecting the local tradition. I opted for the traditional Cjarsons with sage butter and smoked ricotta: a signature dish of Friulian cuisine, expertly prepared. The aromatic filling, the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the thin, well-rolled pasta make them, without exaggeration, the best Cjarsons I've ever tasted in Friuli. Sincere compliments to the chef! 👨‍🍳 Osteria Vineria Vencò won us over with dishes that reflect the tradition, passion, and authenticity of this splendid land. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, the staff is kind, helpful, and attentive: every detail contributes to making the experience pleasant and memorable. With a more than fair bill and a homey atmosphere, we left this place extremely satisfied, promising to return. 06/12/2025: My son had been pestering me for a week. Then I gave in: "Let's go to Tormento, son." From the name, I was about to brace myself for the arrival of instant Maalox right after the first bite, but... the packet of Maalox remained untouched. The sandwiches are tasty, large, well-filled, and above all, greasy enough that you're forced to juggle the napkin to save your jeans from painful stains for your wallet. The skill of some of the patrons in avoiding tormenting drips is commendable. The people at the tables are calm, and in this day and age, that's not to be taken lightly. The waiter doesn't even think about technology. He's equipped with a notepad and pen, and with these alone, he takes your order without hesitation. The environment is simple and without the glassware of the Cracco Restaurant it makes it even more pleasant. However, I believe that in the kitchen there is a lady who knows how to do her job well and who loves it and I imagine her with a smile just like Sora Lella's.

Its main advantages are the spacious and welcoming interior, the accessible and relatively quiet location, the good parking available, and the service that lives up to expectations. = Update 10/09/2020 = After a long closure due to the lockdown, I found it open today. It's obvious that some deep cleaning and partial renovations have been done, making the space more modern and airy. Perhaps it's also under new management or a new staff. I ordered a macchiato, which I appreciated for its preparation and service. I stand by my rating, closer to **** than ***, which recommends it if you're passing through this area of ​​Pordenone.

15/07/2025: A really nice place where you can eat well for a good price-quality ratio, 9-12 euros for a main course (July 2025). The staff is nice and fast, they also speak English well.

08/12/2025: We chose the boiled meat menu for 25 euros per person, including two types of first course. Instead of ravioli in broth, we received tortellini, almost raw. The broth was good, the boiled meat was a disappointment. Instead of cotechino, it was, in our opinion, salami, unforgivable. The parmesan and the flavor were anything but cotechino. The green sauce was salty, and half a carrot was like boiled vegetables. Certain traditional dishes require skill in cooking. You can serve a dish like that to tourists, but not to Friulians. It's a joke, given the price paid, almost 60 euros for 2. The guy who served us was good. We won't be returning.

29/11/2025: I discovered a pizzeria near my house when I moved to the neighborhood... I always ordered takeout, and for a while the service was top-notch, always fast and punctual, the staff were all kind and friendly, and the pizza became my favorite in all of Trieste. Then, at some point, something must have changed because they never made a pizza right, either because they were missing ingredients or didn't follow the instructions in the notes (which even specified food intolerances). The first few times, I gave up, trusting that future orders would be successful. After another mistake, I called the pizzeria and spoke to a nervous woman who wasn't willing to listen or talk. She offered me a €2 refund on my next order (????). Instead, I asked for the pizza to be remade and returned correct, since it wasn't the first time this had happened, and I was even asked to return the wrong one. Yesterday I gave it one last chance...and the pizza arrived wrong once again...as much as I'm sorry, it's clear I won't order again.
