The combination of meat and sauce offered was not balanced at all. The second fish course was soulless. A much vaunted place that I wanted to go to disappointed me a lot, also because the prices are very high.

19/05/2025: Immerso tra le vigne dei colli piacentini, l’agriturismo Il Corniolo è una piccola perla per chi cerca autenticità e gusto. L’atmosfera è quella calda e rilassata di una casa di campagna, dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato. La cucina è il vero punto forte: un incontro sorprendente tra la tradizione piacentina e la cucina greca, in un connubio che funziona alla perfezione. Dai tortelli con la coda, alla moussaka con ingredienti locali, o ancora ai pisarei con la feta, ogni piatto racconta una storia di contaminazioni felici e sapori ben bilanciati. Il clima è familiare e accogliente: si viene trattati come ospiti di vecchia data, non come semplici clienti. Il servizio è cordiale, mai invadente, e sempre pronto a raccontare l’origine dei piatti e dei vini della casa. Un altro punto a favore è il prezzo, decisamente contenuto rispetto alla qualità dell’esperienza offerta. È raro oggi trovare un luogo che coniughi genuinità, buona cucina e prezzi onesti con tanta naturalezza. In definitiva, Il Corniolo è il posto ideale per una gita fuori porta (l'agriturismo ha anche alcune stanze per il pernottamento), una cena romantica o un pranzo in compagnia, con il valore aggiunto di una cucina che osa senza perdere le radici. I complimenti al cuoco, Federico e alla sua famiglia per aver creato questo gioiello nella campagna piacentina! Straconsigliato!!!

15/05/2025: We stopped for lunch and I had a great time. Young, polite and kind staff! Excellent service. We ate a second course but there was also a choice of first courses! Everything made by them! Excellent prices. If I'm in the area I will definitely stop again.

28/05/2025: Hébergement fabuleux pour une étape ou un séjour pour découvrir la région. Chambres très confortables et décorées avec soin, excellente cuisine traditionnelle avec des produits locaux de qualité. Établissement très calme en pleine nature. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont hyper accueillants et aimables, toujours prêts à rendre service. Je recommande vivement cette adresse.

28/05/2025: A fabulous location for a stopover or a longer stay to explore the region. A peaceful establishment surrounded by nature, with beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated rooms. The restaurant is also worth a visit, serving traditional cuisine made with fresh, local produce. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. I highly recommend this place.

19/04/2025: A nice experience. The place is "a bit remote", given that it is located in a small village between Villanova and Castelvetro. To find it, you have to look for it, even if it is on the road. Nothing flashy, but well structured. Not much to say about the food, it was good, from starters to desserts. Courteous, punctual and easy-going service. The bill was adequate for what we ate.

Business lunch at a super price and dinner in line with the quality service. If you want to eat dishes that are not predictable, this is the place for you! Recommended.

18/02/2025: I came across it by chance while passing through the hospital, and I found myself in front of an old-fashioned place, very well furnished. Fine, but at the same time intimate. I love the attention to detail that goes into the bar. And the coffee is spatial: the natural sweetness of the coffee is enhanced, and the resulting result is a perfect balance between the intensity and the delicate acidity of the aroma. I have never tried such a particular espresso, completely different from the many that I have enjoyed over time. Already, this little corner of Piacenza has everything it takes to become my favorite bar in the city. The lady's kiss is also delicious, just as the staff is delicious; they inspire confidence.

26/05/2025: Dinner on Sunday night, gluten-free pizza with nduja and good gorgonzola, they also have gluten-free beer and some gluten-free dessert options, I had the cheesecake with mango and biscuits.

The raw materials are exceptional and very fresh, enhanced by a cuisine that respects and enhances the flavors with great skill. Each dish was a discovery of taste and quality. The environment is cared for down to the smallest detail, elegant but welcoming, perfect for a special evening. The staff was efficient, attentive and professional, always ready to satisfy every request with a smile. A restaurant that truly deserves top marks! We will definitely be back.
