06/10/2025: I'll start by saying that the quality of the cold cuts is beyond question, even the torta fritta was very good, because the ingredients were truly good. The bill was out of the ordinary: two torta fritta, two first courses, and a bottle of Coke, €70 for two. Eight obviously industrial ravioli, more than a euro per ravioli, practically, lasagna made the day before, but still good. No one criticizes the €35 per person, but you keep the prices reasonable for what you offer. I understand the rustic location, I understand the tradition, but you can't have prices like a restaurant in the city center. I sat for 20 minutes with the wind in my back because the front door was open (it was 13 degrees), the kitchen door that leads to the dining room was open, and I had to take my clothes to the dry cleaners because they were infested with fried food. €5 for two tablespoons of giardiniera in a small container... Come on... A bottle of Coke for €6, we're way off the mark... It's €4 everywhere else, €5 in a luxury restaurant, and non-vintage Coke. €4 for two, in the cold, surrounded by the smell, I wouldn't even have asked. €3 for two coffees, a fair price, but if I'm referring to the place, no. We didn't order dessert because we repeatedly saw a waiter push the slice of cake onto the plate with his fingers because it wouldn't come off the server. Maybe he'd just cleared a table earlier, so don't do that in the middle of the room. Never again, I'm sorry because the fried cake and the cold cuts were really good.

24/08/2025: It's not the place for a sushi binge, but we didn't go in with that in mind. I should point out that the quality of the fish is slightly better than an average all-you-can-eat restaurant, but we're not talking about the sushi you'd find in Japan, for example. That being said, the difference isn't so noticeable that you'd prefer this type of restaurant over the ones mentioned above. All in all, it's worth a try to form your own opinion.

05/10/2025: Excellent trattoria. The atmosphere maintains the typical Piacenza trattoria feel. Welcoming, tidy, and clean. Excellent service, with very friendly and attentive staff. The dishes are high-quality and delicious. The mixed cured meats appetizer with torta fritta was truly delicious and plentiful. I also had pisarei e faso, which were divinely prepared. A taste of the fried river fish, including eel, catfish, and frog, was excellent. We shared a portion for two for the first and second courses, as the portions were very generous. I'd say the price was very reasonable for what we tasted. Highly recommended.

The grilled beef and grilled potatoes were hearty and full of flavor, and the fresh tagliatelle was perfectly cooked and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service stood out even more. Despite the language barrier, the waitresses were incredibly kind and thoughtful — they even helped us with our crying baby so we could enjoy our meal, which we deeply appreciated. 22/08/2025: This village trattoria tells the story of the local food and wine. Typical Piacenza cured meats accompanied by homemade giardiniera. Tortelli Piacentini made to perfection with thin pasta and a flavorful filling. Pisarei and fasò were equally delicious and characteristic. The main courses were as good as the entire meal. To finish, the apple pie was sublime. The only drawbacks: the excessive heat in the dining room (but it was a truly muggy day), the length of the lunch, and the loud chatter. Lunch on August 15th lasted from 12:30 to approximately 4:00 PM. Nevertheless, Congratulations to all the staff for their dedication and hard work. Well done.

14/08/2025: At the end of a grueling hike, we found this agriturismo that revitalized us. We had lunch outside, which was very well-maintained. The quality-price ratio was adequate. The service was efficient, the table setting elegant, even down to the glasses and cutlery. The cuisine was inspired by Piacenza traditions, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent, handled by the chef to perfection. As an appetizer, we had a typical Piacenza cured meat, "culaccia," with panzerotti filled with stewed onion, sausage, and crescenza cheese—amazing. A lentil salad with confit cherry tomatoes, onion, and a fresh cheese was also served. Next, nettle ravioli filled with ricotta and nettle, topped with melted butter and chives—perfect! To finish, a lemon sorbet and a superb apple tarte tatin. Gentlemen, if you're in the area, don't miss it.

20/09/2025: We ordered a piadina and a sandwich. Truly generous portions! Plus, the piadina and sandwich bread were made fresh (so much so that the sandwich was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside). We were truly satisfied.

12/07/2025: An unexpectedly perfect stop. After exiting the highway, we found this restaurant in a secluded and quiet area, meticulously maintained down to the smallest detail. We were a family and were impressed by the staff's ability to welcome even the youngest guests with attentiveness and discretion, without ever compromising the elegant and tranquil atmosphere of the restaurant. The cuisine is refined, with a focus on quality ingredients and seasonality, offering balanced and flavorful dishes. The wine selection is also excellent, with original and well-recommended options. We're happy we stopped here: an experience that transformed a simple stop on a road trip into a truly special moment.

02/10/2025: Hands down, the best delicatessen in Piacenza. It's rare to meet a true professional who pours all their love and knowledge into what they do, yet remains humble. Anyone who enters Il Salumaio Valla can see the owner's passion: we found ourselves spellbound listening to his stories about the curing process of the cured meats, while tasting them accompanied by a special wine (also produced by him), halfway between still and sparkling, sweet just like the wine itself. Personally, I would walk the entire length of Via Roma every day, even though it's no longer the best area of ​​the city, just to return to that little shop brimming with history, studded with price lists as they once were. It's a leap into the past but also a step into the future, thanks to the gourmet selection it offers. I can't wait to return, even if it's just to try the famous gourmet chocolate with pancetta, or to experience the banquet they host on the first Sunday of the month, with everything freshly prepared. A place that will stay in your heart and honors Piacenza's traditions. Highly recommended!

30/09/2025: As I passed the window, my attention was drawn to the bread and some pumpkin tarts, as well as the humorous captions describing the delicacies so tastefully displayed. Inside, I enjoyed a pleasant conversation with the jovial Mr. Ettore, a son of a professional, who enthusiastically described and praised his artisanal products. In addition to the fig foie gras, which he makes himself, I also purchased the coppa, the true star of the counter. It seems homemade using the traditional method of dry-salting and drying over a wood fire. Naturally, I also purchased the two pumpkin products. I was able to appreciate the truly authentic flavor of products purchased only at home. The foie gras was supplied in a refrigerated bag. Delicious when chilled, it was appreciated for its originality. Bravo!

07/10/2025: A typical Piacenza trattoria just 10 minutes from the city center. Modern, but certainly not cold. Impeccable service and very traditional dishes. A very comprehensive wine list with local options at reasonable prices. Dishes are very traditional, yet very good. Among the best Piacenza tortelli you'll find anywhere. Prices are reasonable for what you get.
