05/05/2025: Il frigo vetrina, posto all'ingresso dell'antico edificio di pietra recentemente ristrutturato, con all'interno grossi pesci appesi a frollare, ci introducono in un mondo fatto di passione, sperimentazione, tecnica e ricerca. L'ambiente è elegante e l'accoglienza cordiale. Il menu è quasi incomprensibile per la quantità di ingredienti insoliti utilizzati per preparare le pietanze. Il crudo di corba rossa è tenero e armonioso ed il risotto alla milanese di mare un poco anonimo. Sorprendente l'animella di vitello alla brace con tamarindo. La carta dei vini è discreta e con ricarichi corretti. Gradita la piccola pasticceria offerta in chiusura. Alla fine della serata resta la sensazione di avere speso bene i 70 euro del conto.

10/04/2025: Sempre una bella conferma! Conoscevamo già questi ragazzi dal Ca' Longa e ci eravamo ripromessi di venire a provare il menù della Ca' di Sass, che rimane rustica ma scenografica. I piatti parlano da sé. Personale di sala molto competente e mai invadente. Piacevolissima serata.

21/04/2026: Miriam, the hostess, and her daughter and son-in-law will pamper you in their splendid, antique rooms, tastefully furnished in a vintage style. The wine bar is also top-notch. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended for motorcyclists, too; there's plenty of on-site parking right next to the rooms and wine bar.

04/05/2026: Excellent value for money at lunchtime, ideal for workers with limited time. Excellent service, clean place. If you arrive during peak hours with a little patience, they'll find you a table. For dinner, it's best to book a table, as it's not always open.

11/04/2026: A must when I want a decent coffee during lunchtime, before returning to work. The girls are well-organized and communicative. You can tell they're always trying to give their best, even during rush hour. One thing I appreciate is that every now and then they bring a cake from (I assume) a pastry shop. The last time it happened, it was a tart with apricot jam and amaretti biscuits. Naturally, I jumped at the chance. And I didn't regret it: it was masterful. A perfect café in Montale.

13/04/2026: A very peaceful resort nestled in the greenery...with the occasional hare wandering around the garden. Beautiful rooms and a restaurant with a limited but refined and very good selection of dishes. Delicious bread. Relaxing, with a garden and reading rooms. We stayed one night before Easter and had dinner at the restaurant. The morning breakfast was very good.

09/05/2026: Dinner for four friends on Friday night: we asked for separate bills, and the owner, visibly annoyed, created a terrible confusion by charging not only more (for the chicken ramen €17 instead of €15), but also mixed dishes and drinks! We pointed this out to him, and his irritated response was: 2 or 3 euros that don't really matter, what's that?! If this is the professionalism of Piacenza's restaurateurs, then we're not doing very well!

21/04/2026: We stopped by again in April. The owners are still super friendly, but the food quality has gone downhill. We stopped by by chance and they had tripe. Just like grandma used to make.

13/04/2026: Excellent traditional Piacenza food, including delicious ricotta and herb tortelli, gnocchi, cured meats, and meats. Casual atmosphere, very fair prices. Worth a trip off the beaten path to enjoy the tranquility of the village of Pecorara.

22/06/2026: The place is very beautiful and well-kept, with a charming, rustic-style outdoor space that's truly pleasant for spending the evening. The staff was also friendly and clearly working hard, but I did feel they were understaffed, with only one waitress rushing to take orders and another helping with service. As a result, wait times are a bit long, and when there are more crowded tables, the wait becomes significant. Overall, it was still a good experience for us because we weren't in a rush, but the food wasn't memorable or above-average. Let's say it's a nice place for its setting and atmosphere, but if I had to choose a place for dinner, it wouldn't be among my top choices.

19/07/2026: I decided to try La Locanda (the occasion was my birthday) after it was recommended to me by acquaintances, and it truly lived up to expectations! The interior is rustic just right, well air-conditioned (very popular in the summer), the outside is very pleasant and equally enjoyable, especially when in company. There is a well-equipped children's area just out of reach of the diners (so it doesn't disturb at all). The staff was friendly, fast, and always available as soon as anything was needed (which we greatly appreciated). We wanted to try their typical appetizers (mixed cured meats, giardiniera, gorgonzola with torta fritta) and everything was excellent. The filled torta fritta is also nice and worth trying, very tasty! Some of us then had the pisarei e fasoi, and others had first courses, and they were all equally good! Some of us had Angus carpaccio (very tender and well-seasoned meat). The desserts were no less delicious! All in all, it was a top-notch dinner! A peaceful and convivial birthday party in a place we'll definitely consider returning to!
