02/03/2025: Very nice discovery. Refined gastronomic cuisine with impeccable service. The entire staff is very attentive. Perfect wine advice. It is a romantic place also made for sharing with friends. For €90 per person we had an aperitif, a starter, a main course, 3 glasses of wine and a coffee. All accompanied by delicacies from the welcome to the dessert. Treat yourself but a word of advice: book!

06/02/2025: It’s a long time Venice institution and has held a Michelin star for decades as well. While, to me, the finesse is a bit excessive and I prefer the older homey approach, Da Fiore is undeniably an amazing restaurant and is a beautiful option for a special night out with your loved one. There are plenty of Venetian staples, refined and made lighter and more upscale here, as well as plenty of new inventive dishes, less typical but still steeped in tradition. The crab meat was delightful, the cod (baccala) amazing as it can only be in Venice, the eel with herb sauce and bitter lettuce beautifully balanced and the tuna fresh and clean, made in a Cesar / panzanella style. The wine list here is amazing, the markups sometimes a touch high but it is a luxury restaurant in the end. As I said before, a gorgeous place for a special night out. Love it.

05/03/2025: It's true that the atmosphere doesn't invite you in, the premises are dated and the staff isn't very friendly, but we ate very well: first mixed appetizer and raw scampi, then spaghetti alla busara and fried calamari and scampi, all plentiful and at an excellent price for being in the centre of Venice.

26/02/2025: We stopped for lunch in this restaurant with our 2 children aged 12 and 8 and it was a real culinary treat for all! Typically Venetian dishes, with fresh products, perfectly prepared. The young woman serving was very pleasant and knew how to anticipate our expectations (which is rare today). An address that we remember!

24/02/2025: Such a gem in Venezia. The food was fantastic and reasonable priced. And that in one of the most touristy cities of Italia. The Food: I had the Spaghetti with clams and a Tiramisu. Both were very delicious. The food of the other guests also looked very good as well. I think for the price the portion size is fair. The atmosphere: Went here during busy lunch hours and it was no problem at all to get a table for one person. The waiter was very friendly and the restaurant felt very intimate. 06/01/2025: Abbiamo prenotato all’ultimo momento e abbiam trovato posto. Bel locale elegante. Forse i tavoli un po’ stretti tra loro. Mangiare ottimo. Prezzi alti ma d’altronde è un ristorante di un altro livello rispetto a quello turistico.

01/03/2025: Prima di pranzare a Venezia, uno deve fare bene i conti. Qui invece, abbiamo mangiato bene ad un prezzo decisamente onesto e penso, anche sotto la media delle trattorie veneziane. Tutto veramente buono, dall'antipasto al dolce (tiramisù esageratamente buono ed abbondante). Servizio veloce, professionale e anche "coccolo". Pienamente soddisfatti. Consigliatissimo .....e ricordatevi di prenotare, per non rimanere fuori a fare la fila.

27/02/2025: For our last evening in Venice, we chose Trattoria Bar Pontini because of its great reviews and ratings. We were not disappointed. You have to make a reservation if you want to dine here. It is a very popular restaurant with good reason. The atmosphere is joyful and upbeat. They had a table ready and waiting for us. Fabio was a terrific owner – he sailed through the restaurant making everyone feel welcome. I ordered the Cotoletta Vitella all Milanese, which was huge and perfectly battered and fried. I also ordered an Insalata Mista. My husband enjoyed the Filetto di Manzo Gorgonzola along with roast potatoes. I have to tell you they were the best roasted potatoes we had in all of Italy. They were to die for – crisp – not greasy – just fantastic! He finished with an enormous Tiramisu. One thing is for sure, you will not leave hungry from Trattoria Pontini.

04/03/2025: Ho scelto questo locale non per caso ma ad una amica che me ne ha parlato bene e devo confermare tutte quelle positive. Situato in una parte interna da Riva Schiavoni .Locale di impatto molto particolare un tuffo di 900 anni con arredi restaurati e di stile ..Propietario molto accogliente e professionale ti fa sentire a tuo agio ..Cibo buono , anzi ottimo e vario cè tutto per tutti i palati , è giusto per un Pranzo di qualita , .Ambiente unico , molto Contento ci ritornerò sicuramente ad un prossimo viaggio a venezia.

08/01/2025: Acababa de recomendar esta osteria a dos amigos que estaban visitando Venecia por primera vez y busqué una entrada anterior, de la que descubrí que había venido aquí durante más de 10 años. Nunca hubiera pensado que podría haber una mejora en la calidad de la cocina pero Vergilio me demostró que estaba equivocado; ha ido de fuerza en fuerza. Decir que su crema di ceci e gamberoni es una sopa es como decir que un Rolls Royce es un coche. La comida del mar se compra fresca todos los días en el mercado que está a unos 5 minutos y el menú ofrece una maravillosa selección de auténticos platos venecianos. Para cualquiera que sea nuevo en las posibilidades, Larisa le explicará en detalle todo lo que pueda desear saber y hay una amplia selección de vinos con la casa tinto y prosecco muy buena relación calidad-precio. No como carne así que no puedo comentar sobre los platos de carne, pero probablemente he comido la mayoría de los otros platos en algún momento y nunca he estado más que encantado (los cozze son prácticamente una comida en sí mismos). Pruebe esta ostería excepcional y experimente una cocina auténtica excepcionalmente buena y una bienvenida muy cálida de Larisa y Virgilio. Non vedo l'ora di rivedervi. Un l'anno prosimmo. Giovanni

20/02/2025: I want to give it 1 point, but the dessert they gave me to write a review was edible, so I'll give it 2 points. The service was the worst. They threw the plate on the table as if they were throwing it, and the fried food spilled on the table. They didn't even ask if I was done yet, and they took the plate and cup. Ridiculous. They asked the Western tables next to me and cleaned it up. They didn't even ask if I wanted still water or soda, and just put down a bottle of water and started. They even took my money. I thought this restaurant was originally rude, but it wasn't like that for the Western customers next to me. The prices weren't written on the English menu. There was no way to check if I was charged the right amount or if I was ripped off. I paid 92 euros for 2 pastas, 1 fried food, and 2 spritzes, but I don't think I'll ever know if that's the right price. The taste was average. I'm going to delete ChatGPT, which recommended this place. The first restaurant I failed at during my two-week trip to Italy, and the worst restaurant for Asians.
