04/11/2025: Don't be put off by the multi language menus or heavy advertising, this is a gem of a restaurant with excellent food and great service. Not cheap but great value

03/03/2026: We had a wonderful experience at Trattoria Da Gigio. The restaurant is very cozy, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. Everything felt authentic and prepared with care. The tiramisu was incredibly delicious — truly one of the best we’ve ever had. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return.

19/02/2026: A romantic spot on the canal in San Polo with classic Venetian cuisine and excellent seafood, just a few minutes from the vaporetto and other great options for an aperitif and a drink afterward ;-) For New Year's Eve, we had a (naturally) slightly more expensive menu, but all the dishes were excellent. A definite recommendation!

15/03/2026: We had the worst restaurant experience ever here. From the outside the place looks like a small cozy place but we were escorted to a vast dining area which was completely empty. We found out from the menu that this place was a different restaurant. When we were seated we asked for a bottle of sparkling water however we got still water.. The waiter was very rude and pushy. By mistake hi kicked my friend’s leg and didn’t apologize. He kept recommending us the most expensive wine from the menu even though we had not asked for his recommendation. He even brought a tasting sample from that expensive wine that we never asked for. At this point we decided to leave because we felt like we were scammed. The nasty looks we got from the waiter when we asked for the bill for the water was reassuring that leaving the place this early was the best decision.

15/03/2026: One of the best places to eat lunch/dinner in Venice. We went for an early dinner (around 7:40 pm) and it was packed, but they let us wait about 40 minutes and then gave us a table. Anyone would say that having to wait that long is excessive, but it was worth it as it's a place that's VERY unfrequented by tourists (if the locals go, it's usually very good, and we were right). The best pizzas we had in Venice, in a comfortable and warm setting. It was quite noisy, but that's because there was a table of 7 people right behind us; otherwise, I'd describe it as a quiet place. Very friendly at all times. Very good prices, although they do charge a cover charge. If I return to Venice, I'll definitely go back!

07/03/2026: Finally!!! After much searching and a string of disappointments, we've finally found a restaurant worthy of the name. Here, you'll eat very well, at reasonable prices, and you'll be treated with care. Grazie mille 🤍🙏🏼

27/10/2025: I've known this place for years, and every time I'm in Venice, I always try to return. I had the pleasure of bringing my colleagues last Friday, and we were all very satisfied. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was casual yet elegant. Roberto served us with reverence, entertaining us and making us have a great time. Thank you, and see you next time.

27/10/2025: In the somewhat secluded Rialto area, this small osteria is a pleasant surprise, serving traditional and non-traditional dishes, from appetizers to dessert. The atmosphere is intimate, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are moderate, with generous portions and excellent ingredients. Reservations are recommended. We'll be back.

04/03/2026: The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old inn, in the best sense of the word, where you feel at home and immersed in the charm of days gone by. The food is very good. It's close enough to the Rialto Bridge but quiet enough to catch your breath while being pampered by the staff.

28/02/2026: The quality was commensurate with the price. The fish was cooked perfectly. The staff was always attentive.

04/02/2026: One of the best pasta we had. We had to personally gave our appreciation to the Chef for that wonderful savoury meal. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes but it was all worth it. Among the pasta we ordered, my favorite was the Tagliatelli Scoglio. For the dessert we had Tiramisu it was delicious. Indeed we were all satisfied.

01/02/2026: I'm definitely going here. The owner is so kind. He apologized three times that the food would be late, and the food was delicious. The only downside is the price. Everything else was great. The Aperol Spritz was also delicious.

21/02/2026: Highly recommended restaurant: the food is good, the portions are generous, and the prices are truly fair for Venice. The best thing is the welcome. The staff is friendly and helpful; they immediately make you feel at ease and take care of your table attentively without being intrusive.

14/03/2026: Beautiful location, but the food wasn't up to par. We had dinner for two. A mixed appetizer of cooked fish was good. A first course, ravioli with lemon scallops and bottarga, needed a complete overhaul. The pasta and filling were dry, and the lemon bottarga sauce was tiring after the first few bites. The dish wasn't well-balanced in flavor. A second course, grilled sea bass with vegetables, was bland. Two glasses of Pinot Grigio and filtered water. The bill was €98, excessive for how much and how well we ate. I had high expectations, but they were unfortunately disappointed. I wouldn't return.

The service and attentive service are excellent, and the ingredients are expertly selected and prepared by Chef Mara, a Michelin-starred chef for 25 years. In short, if you want to experience Venice, Osteria Da Fiore is the best choice, even if you have food intolerances that might cause you concern. The restaurant is well-equipped, and you can enjoy a delicious and worry-free experience. Enjoy Venice!

25/02/2026: It's not just a place for tourists... ...who are welcome because they too can appreciate the quality of Venetian cuisine. The menu is appropriately basic, yet offers a wide range of traditional meat and fish dishes. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting, and the staff is professional and very helpful. The prices are in line with the quality. We really enjoyed our stay!
