04/01/2025: I was there today for lunch. Excellent restaurant, quality raw materials worked with skill and imagination. Always impeccable service, private and welcoming atmosphere.

16/12/2024: I returned to this restaurant after a year. The atmosphere inside is intimate and welcoming, while the outdoor space is framed by the buildings of the historic center. Right from the start you are welcomed by the courteous and knowledgeable staff, ready to carefully explain the dishes. The selection of bread prepared by the chef is excellent and varied, particularly the tomato focaccia. The menu is well structured and reasoned, as are the dishes of the day. But what brings me back to Apollinare most of all are the hand-rolled tortelli with a tasty burrata filling emphasized by flakes of Moscato truffle and cherry tomato reduction. As a sweet conclusion, try the dark chocolate semifreddo with white chocolate cream and pink pepper. I therefore recommend this restaurant which is always a certainty and an obligatory stop for anyone passing through Spoleto.

11/01/2025: We had a really great time even though we hadn't booked due to sudden changes in plans; they found us a very cozy place near the fireplace. Our only sin was arriving at the Trattoria not too hungry, because the first courses were so good that we would have liked to try everything on the menu. Excellent quality-price! If we lived in Assisi we would certainly be frequent visitors to this place; the staff was also very kind not to let us worry about the fact that we were the last ones left in the room, to finish the wine calmly. We thank you very much for this! P.S. Only now, therefore after having been with you, did we notice the negative reviews regarding you, but above all the responses you give: you are great! Always elegant and intelligent!

Young, fast, kind and prepared waiters. The welcoming and convivial owner promotes his products with passion. 5 stars would be too few for each category. Highly recommended!

02/01/2025: Prenotato telefonicamente per quattro persone e ho chiesto di poterci mettere vicino alla vetrata; richiesta accontentata una volta giunti sul posto. Siamo stati accolti dal personale in modo molto cordiale e professionale, comportamento che è stato piacevolmente tenuto per tutto il pasto. Location interna minimal ma di gusto, spiazza in positivo il panorama. Il menù è tradizionale della cucina orvietana, strizzando l’occhio alla modernità e alla ricerca di sapori e contrapposizioni particolari. Io ho ordinato un tagliere di formaggi come antipasto, spiegati uno per uno dal cameriere; come primo gli Umbrichelli al vino rosso con sbriciolata di salsiccia e spolverata di cipolla umbra, eccellenti; come secondo il coniglio ripieno, porzione due fettine, ma di qualità imbattibile; dolce la panna cotta che ricorda i sapori di Pantelleria, contrapposizione dolce e salato che mi sognerò la notte. Il tutto accompagnato da vino che sposava ogni portata, anche per il dolce, ove il sommelier ha proposito un vino adattissimo. La sensazione è di stare in un ristorante d’alta cucina per qualità e menù ma in un posto accogliente quasi come casa, con prezzi accettabili senza doverci lasciare mezzo stipendio. Un’esperienza da rifare sicuramente, per assaggiare quei piatti che mi hanno incuriosito ma che umanamente non avrei potuto mangiare ulteriormente.

15/01/2025: I recommend this restaurant for those looking for refined foods, homemade pasta, tortellini in broth that are definitely worth trying! Potato gnocchi with white sauce made with Chianina meat, very good! Basket of warm homemade bread... an entree of artichoke salad and excellent parmesan flakes! I didn't exaggerate by taking the wine since I had to drive... I definitely recommend the restaurant! And bon appetit!

15/12/2024: Pranzo con amici. Sulla strada che costeggia la basilica, quindi centrale. Il parcheggio è nella villa di fronte . Abbiamo mangiato bene e soprattutto il servizio è molto gentile e mai invadente. Buono il tortino ai porcini, la cacio e pepe appetitosa ma forse un pochino salata per il miei gusti (probabilmente è la presenza del guanciale). I dolci molto buoni, soprattutto i semifreddi (forse un po’ troppo gelati, li avrei preferiti più cremosi). Consigliato.

The food is excellent, the pizza is thin and crunchy, the vegetarian starter is delicate and tasty. Friendly, kind and helpful staff, always with a smile and ready to provide information if requested. I will definitely be back. Thank you. Another positive note: pets are welcome!

14/01/2025: Located right next to the Cathedral of Assisi, it is a small restaurant where the courtesy and availability of the owner who works in the room are the added value. Good choice on the menu. The dishes we chose were excellent: appetizer of local cured meats with torte al testo and mezze penne with Chianina sauce. The house wines by the glass are absolutely worth trying. Price normal

26/12/2024: We stayed in this cute farmhouse at the foot of the basilica of S. Francesco, in fact you can enjoy a spectacular view of the basilica! We had a really great time, the room was welcoming and clean, the food was delicious and of excellent quality, the Christmas lunch was the best!! Above all we felt at home thanks to the welcome and kindness of Mr. Sandro, his wife Gabriella and his son Andrea, who put passion and love into everything they do. One day they also accompanied us to Assisi and on Christmas day Mr Sandro advised us to visit the Prison Hermitage, and it was a wonderful walk through the snow and this unique and spiritual place. What can I say... Thank you so much for the wonderful Christmas spent with you in Umbria, we will be back to visit you soon❤️
