27/10/2025: On my way back from the Marche region to Rome, I happened upon San Gemini right around lunchtime, and after a quick search, I decided to try this restaurant. There are three of us. The atmosphere is rustic and tranquil, with an open fireplace in the entrance hall where they're busy cooking meat, and delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen. We order a first and second course. Grated truffle is featured in many of the first courses, as are grilled meats, soups, and cod. The dishes are few, but very well presented. Delicate cuisine with excellent flavors. Prices are high. Excellent service. We'll return to try other dishes and explore the wine list. Highly recommended.

23/10/2025: During a visit to Spoleto, we were fortunate enough to visit Ristorante Apollinare. I won't deny that our expectations were high, and I won't deny that they were met. As soon as we entered, we were greeted—literally, like I hadn't been in a long time—by the very knowledgeable and courteous wait staff, who seated us and even helped us put away our outerwear. Let's get to the point, because the place we entered wasn't just a restaurant, but the starting point for a sensory journey. Rarely have I found a place where passion for cooking translates into such simple yet surprising dishes. The absolute highlight is the quality of the food, which to call "excellent" is an understatement. Each course is a celebration of the raw ingredients with sublime preparation. My favorite dish was the tagliatella al tartufo, a simple homemade tagliatella made with just egg yolks and creamed with salted butter and truffle (I hope I didn't miss a thing from Marco's presentation of the dish), a true feast for the taste buds. The service, as mentioned, was attentive yet discreet, with the wait staff explaining the dishes with genuine knowledge and pride. The elegant yet understated atmosphere creates the ideal setting to fully enjoy their creations. If you're looking for a culinary experience that will leave you with memories of authentic flavors, excellent ingredients, and a kitchen that dares to be bold yet respects tradition, APOLLINARE is the place to be. 09/11/2025: The location was very nice, in my opinion. The tables and chairs were dated; they need replacing. The food was decent. One note: at 12:20 PM, the bathroom was already dirty.

30/09/2025: We had lunch today. It was a wonderful experience, both for the good food (the wonderful snails) and for the hospitality of the owner and her children, especially her daughter Mery. She's polite, professional, and friendly, a wonderful family. I highly recommend it. It was a wonderful experience.

17/10/2025: We were in Gubbio for a weekend, and while strolling through the city streets, we noticed this little place. As soon as we entered, we noticed the modern decor and the friendly welcome from the staff. The quality of the food is very good, from the simple appetizer to the main courses with truffle specialties, and topped off with a delicious dessert. The prices are average. If we were to return to Gubbio, we would definitely consider it again.

16/10/2025: Throughout the entire service, we were never asked if everything was okay. Once we'd finished eating, the waiter quickly took our plates away without a word. We would have liked to order at least one more course to share, two desserts, and a coffee, yet there was no interest in being served. It wasn't after hours and there weren't many people. For a total cover charge of €5, I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable. The decor is nice, the food is okay, but the service is subpar. We were ignored. I'm sorry, and I speak as someone who's worked in the industry for years. Perhaps it's more of a place for tourists and older people, especially considering the songs, which are certainly upbeat but have sexist lyrics.

15/11/2025: Intrigued by the reviews we read, we booked at Botteguccia, which was just a few meters from our hotel. I can only confirm what others have written. As soon as you enter, you'll be in the hands of host Stefano, who will immediately immerse you in the atmosphere of the place. I recommend not glancing at the menu from the reviews, but rather going there and waiting for all the delicious dishes the girls will bring you, you'll be amazed every time. Everything is delicious, from the appetizers to the meat, from the first courses to the desserts! DON'T MISS IT, GO, GO, GO, IT'S WORTH IT!! From the table of crazy people.

07/10/2025: A beautiful, quaint restaurant with a lovely red room and—a few steps down—a sort of cellar room. Several signs point the way from the old town entrance to the restaurant. The service is polite and friendly. While serving the "Tagliere," she briefly explained all the sausages, hams, and cheeses to us. The cuisine is quite upscale, and the food is very tasty, which is why the prices are absolutely justified. The only thing I personally didn't quite like was the tiramisu. I completely missed the taste of coffee. It's part of the experience, though, especially since it's supposed to wake you up; hence—I think—the name: "Pull me up," meaning "wake me up." It also consisted mainly of mascarpone. There were maybe a few pavesini on top. I've heard of it with the savoiardi (spoon biscuits), but they're solid from top to bottom. That way, at least they have some bite. But below the Pavesini (or whatever) there was just a "mascarpone lake." Certainly not bad, but not particularly appealing in terms of taste. But as I said: a matter of taste. Having been there five times already, I can highly recommend it. In 2019, for example, I had the melted cheese with truffle – without honey upon request; then the pappardelle al cinghiale; or the simple lentil soup. This time we had the tagliere, the pasta with capra, and each of the duck breast and beef, I think. In 2019, we had an appetizer that was extremely complex; hence the numerous photos. Very interesting back then was this kind of meatloaf with balsamic vinegar; but half as thick as in Germany. It tasted much more refined, though. The house wine was also surprisingly good: only €8 a liter back then. By the way: the pool was, of course, very clean. Parking is convenient and free in front of the circular square in front of the pedestrian bridge over the Nera River. It's great that this restaurant exists: highly recommended, as it combines typical Umbrian cuisine with high quality.
