22/08/2025: Eating here is a true celebration! In January 2025, Lucca's finest restaurant moved to a beautifully renovated building. From the elaborate wooden ceiling to the atmospherically lit cellar, every detail has been carefully considered and executed to perfection. The staff's humor is reflected in the vivid, half-hidden stories painted on the wall. In this centuries-old venue, dishes are prepared with love and enthusiasm. A classy restaurant where highly skilled, friendly, and hardworking staff prepare flavorful dishes while simultaneously creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Suggestion: skip the wine list! Tell Pasquale what you appreciate in a good wine and be surprised by his knowledge, stories, and fantastic wines! The only thing that is average to low in comparison is the price. This experience is very affordable and much cheaper than you might expect. Update August 21, 2025 Still a fantastic restaurant and a very friendly owner. With the fantastic help of Pasquale and his team, I proposed to my girlfriend here. And it was a success!

15/08/2025: I found this restaurant almost by accident. We had tartare and baked porcini mushrooms as an appetizer, 2 tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and 2 desserts. Elegant atmosphere, fair prices, and excellent dishes. Recommended.

06/08/2025: Da Rosolo – Lucca’s best dining experience Of all the places we ate in Lucca, Da Rosolo was without a doubt the place where we had the best food. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, especially on warm summer evenings, when the restaurant is almost always full to the last seat. Therefore, a table reservation is an absolute must – the staff really make an effort to find a seat for everyone, but without a reservation you risk having to wait a long time or going in vain. The staff are incredibly attentive and stop by several times to make sure everything is as it should be. The wine list is good and varied, although wine is not necessarily the main focus. The menu offers many delicious dishes, and there is something for everyone. We ate here with children, and both the kitchen and the staff were especially attentive to them. They were welcomed with smiles, and they loved the food – a big plus for families who want to have a good experience together.

07/08/2025: We were 10 meters away at a B&B, parking is an adventure and the owner of the restaurant is quite grumpy and annoying about parking and the space between the cars, so you can hardly get away without damage.

16/07/2025: Here you could taste a lot of wine: six different types, three reds, and three whites. Here you were also served a lot of good food, as well as water. A very beautiful vineyard surrounded by beautiful nature.

08/08/2025: Trattoria da Nonna Clara is absolutely amazing—a true hidden gem that captures the heart of Italian home cooking. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, just like stepping into a family kitchen, and the food is nothing short of spectacular. Their lasagna is, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had outside of my own Nonna’s—layers of tender pasta, rich meat sauce, and perfectly melted cheese, all made with the kind of love and care you can taste in every bite.

02/08/2025: We left Veneto for a short holiday in Lucca. We had a wonderful, special evening. We had a very good dinner. Valentina, the girl who looked after us, was very kind and friendly, like the rest of the staff. An experience to be repeated. Well done guys!

02/08/2025: Avoid! Totally overrated restaurant but if you like wooden carved cocks to heavy metal music this is the place for you. The pasta was just very simple and fat. Don’t eat here if you like Italian food.

28/08/2025: We were served by a very nice girl, attentive and quick. The Tuscan appetizer platter is good for two, maybe even three people, depending on how hungry you are and what you want to eat. For our second course, we had pizza (2/3 of which we ate) and lasagna and salmon pasta (the boys, of course, devoured the whole thing—pasta freaks). Everything was delicious! If there were any complaints, it might be that the olive variety was too small and the pits too large.

27/08/2025: We had dinner with family tonight. Excellent dinner! The dishes were impeccably explained by Cesare, the owner, who put the guests at ease and served us an excellent local wine (Nicodemo). The portions were generous and delicious. Top notch!

10/08/2025: An excellent experience, a well-kept venue with multiple dining rooms and an outdoor area. Four of us went last night, and honestly, there's nothing to complain about. The cuisine is homemade, but exceptionally high quality. The attentive service, the extensive wine list, covering all price ranges, and, above all, the sommelier's professionalism in recommending the best dishes are second to none. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend.

09/08/2025: We've already had two dinners here, and we enjoyed both the food and the wines. I only have one small complaint about the second time we were there: unfortunately, the truffles weren't fragrant enough. (July) But that won't stop us from returning for dinner.

17/08/2025: The quality of the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming and charming, creating the perfect setting for our dinner. The service was impeccable; the staff was not only kind and professional, but also extremely attentive, without ever being intrusive. They surprised us with various tastings of typical specialties, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We can't wait to return. Highly recommended!
