14/02/2025: We had lunch there a couple of years ago and had olive oil shipped back to the states. It is so good I ordered more. I just received my order and I am so pleased. The flavor is superb to any olive oil I can obtain in the USA.

03/02/2025: We came across this restaurant by chance, during a walk within the walls of Lucca, we found a well-kept environment, very traditional and typical Tuscan but also elegant. The menu offered many traditional dishes and even for us, who are vegetarians, there were some excellent proposals. We ate very well and were pampered and served with a professionalism that is difficult to find in similar restaurants, truly excellent, we will certainly return.

The restaurant is very welcoming with panoramic terraces overlooking Versilia and Liguria
Varied and interesting menu
The house tordelli are phenomenal!

18/01/2025: Consigliatissimo dagli amici lucchesi , trattato come un americano ingenuo . Se ritorno voglio cenare al primo piano e non nella buca . Antipasto anonimo , tordelli scotti, baccalà poca cosa . Cameriere tronfio e scortese . Il menù era diverso da quello esposto . Peccato .

26/01/2025: The place is very characteristic and if you find a place you can eat well, I didn't like the decor of the place very much, but everyone has their own tastes, the service is excellent and punctual, while the language used by the staff is in line with the its furnishings. I recommend it for the affection shown by the owner and the very familiar and hospitable atmosphere.

04/02/2025: Ci è stato consigliato e non ha deluso. Caratteristico e in perfetto stile trattoria. Semplice ed accogliente. Personale garbato e premuroso. Non consiglio il vino della casa bensì uno dei vini della selezione disponibile, abbiamo anche avuto la possibilità di assaggiarne due prima di scegliere quale prendere. Ottima la fiorentina! Consiglio assolutamente. Mentre altro mi sono apparsi estremamente ‘turistici’ questa trattoria invece è stata all’altezza delle aspettative. Da provare.

16/01/2025: It's the second time I've stopped to eat in this restaurant and as always the place is perfect. Excellent food, friendly staff and wide choice of typical Tuscan dishes. Rustic and family atmosphere in a fabulous setting. Large outdoor parking. It is located a stone's throw from the Massarosa exit.

27/01/2025: Super full restaurant. Dishes served within a few minutes. Incredible. Set without bread. Requested several times.....nothing. I had the food taken back because it had gotten cold. At the table behind ours 2 couples of completely drunk young people. In short, an almost nightmare.
15/01/2025: Twice we go to eat at their place and twice we ate badly and we spend too much for two appetizers and two pizzas and then the owners are too rude
