Very good food and very kind waiters

Amazing food when we visited in July. We enjoyed every dish. The wine selection was perfect. The service excellent. We had a Lucca local who had moved to Australia recommend it for our visit to Lucca and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend a booking. Thank you.

Great food, great service and great drinks

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and our waiter, Gian Marco, was very helpful and friendly. A very important point for people with gluten intolerance: they have a typical local fresh pasta dish with a gluten-free option that is fantastic. They also brought out high-quality gluten-free bread, which was delicious without us even having to ask. On top of that, none of these options were charged extra for being gluten-free. It was a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

We dined here during a weekend in Lucca, and I can honestly say that those damned tordelli changed my life. I'd go back a thousand times and give it more than 5 stars if possible. Plus, the atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming and the staff impeccable. Highly recommended.

Everything was spectacular. We've been in Italy for a week and this is the best place we've eaten at. Delicious food, great prices, and impeccable service, especially from Gian Marcos, a young guy who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and polite. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food in a good meat restaurant; tip: order the meat. The service is good, as is the advice on which wine to pair with which dish! There were five of us. We ordered meat from rare to medium rare, and that is exactly how it was served. Nice detail: all the pots and utensils hanging from the ceiling (looks like the luxury version of De Stip in Den Bosch).

One of the absolute best places I have ever eaten – and that is saying a lot after 38 years! The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The walk through the small, cozy streets to the restaurant created just the right atmosphere. The food was simply in a class of its own. In particular, their ragù with parmesan fondue and aged balsamic vinegar was absolutely sublime – it gets my warmest recommendations. We also had a wine experience that you only very rarely experience. The passion, knowledge and respect the staff had for the wine was impressive. The whole ceremony around opening, preparing and serving the wine was an experience in itself and something you usually only encounter at Michelin restaurants or at the very best wine bars. I must honestly say that I find it difficult to understand why the restaurant has not yet received at least one Michelin star. In my opinion, they very much deserve it. If I could nominate them myself, I would have done so without hesitation. Thank you so much for an unforgettable evening and a fantastic experience for me and my family. We are already looking forward to coming back!

We enjoyed our dinner here. It was the most fine dining experience of our trip, with most the dishes feeling sophisticated versus rustic. Service was good, but our table was down in a basement that we didn’t even know existed. We would have much preferred to sit in the main dining area or outside (had reservations well in advance). We have two teenage boys who can eat their body weight so they left hungry due to small portion sizes, but overall it was still a good experience.
