11/08/2025: I discovered this restaurant for my bachelor party, guided in this discovery by my lifelong friends. The location is charming: a bit remote from the rest of the world, a bit mountain hut-like due to the use of wood in the furnishings, a bit mountain hut-like due to the sense of refreshment as soon as the dishes arrive.
The dinner consisted of:
- Appetizer: black crostini (Tuscan, not Umbrian) and crostini with dried tomatoes (with the addition of a fresh cheese), cured meats (prosciutto, salami, capocollo, lard, and dried sausage), and cheese, with fried gnocco as a side dish;
- First courses: ricotta and spinach ravioli with fresh tomatoes and gnocchi with ragù antico (a white Chianina beef ragù);
- Second courses: roast beef (excellently cooked, practically melted in the mouth), grilled sausage and lamb, and steak, with salad and fried zucchini flowers on the side.
- Dessert: panna cotta with a fresh strawberry garnish.
I could comment on every single dish; simply put, Franco, the owner, also owns a butcher shop and knows his stuff inside out. You won't necessarily always find the entire menu available, but you can discover "picturesque" taste paths if you let him guide you. My adventuresome friends, who were completely new to the place, explained to me how difficult it might be to find the same dish again, but how much more astonishing it is to sample, savor, and finally devour simple dishes prepared with quality ingredients.
I will definitely return, perhaps outside of the "overly festive" atmosphere that accompanied my first visit to Ricordati di me. The restaurant's name, as far as I'm concerned, is certainly fitting.

11/12/2025: 2wks in Italy and this is by far the restaurant with the most indifferent service. Female waitress ok, bartender had his arms folded the whole time like the world owed him a living.
When pouring house wine, the bottle wasn't sufficient, so he poured a different type of wine from a different bottle to top up the glass!
Pasta portions small.
09/12/2025: Delicious food and service. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try Tuscan food in a truly delicious way. It's presented beautifully.

staff made my birthday party wonderful!! A very well-kept venue, with a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. The waiters were professional, attentive, and helpful. The food was delicious and the kitchen was punctual.

22/02/2026: I went despite reading many negative reviews, but instead I found the restaurant immersed in the tranquility of a large, stunning park, and a unique historical location, although obviously with some parts that could use some updating (as is the case with all historic buildings). Service was quick despite the restaurant being full. Both the fixed-price menu and the à la carte menu offered good traditional Tuscan dishes. We were fortunate to also find the castle open to the public, with a guided tour led by Amos, a friendly expert and a talented writer who passionately shared the castle's history with visitors. Thank you for a wonderful day.

10/03/2026: Truly excellent, I have to say the overall experience deserves an A+. Since I have serious allergies, the staff was very careful to explain everything about the dishes and ingredients (and I must say, that doesn't happen in many restaurants, so that alone is a plus). The dishes were excellent, well-prepared, and flavorful. The only downside was the pecorino flan; I would have preferred it to be a bit more palatable, despite it being covered by the quince sauce, but that was good too. My partner and I ordered an appetizer, two first courses, a second course, two desserts, a coffee, two glasses of wine, and water. The price, in my opinion, was very fair, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and their location in the area. The glass I ordered was a local wine, and I was very happy with it. Thank you so much, highly recommended!

30/01/2026: Honestly, this review is aimed at the owner, who was very rude both in her welcome and in taking our order. We felt she was only polite to locals. She complained to us about the negative reviews she'd received because of the cats in the restaurant; I found this inappropriate.
The place is clean, and the cats aren't a nuisance.
The bathroom is horrible; the door wouldn't close, it was cramped.
The waitress was a ray of sunshine, always smiling and efficient.
We had a cold cuts appetizer, which was a bit meager, various side dishes, and the Florentine steak.
The meat was delicious, tender, and juicy.
Be careful with your receipt; the owner rounds up the price (how sad for €1.20). What a shame she made!

31/07/2025: Visitamos este encantador restaurante el día después de nuestra boda. Éramos dos parejas con nuestros bebés pequeños. La comida que pedimos era preciosa, el personal era brillante y todo el entorno era hermoso.
Lamentablemente, nuestra cena fue arruinada por la mesa de al lado que parecía pensar que los niños deberían ser vistos y no escuchados. Cuando esta mesa nos dijo que lleváramos a nuestros bebés afuera porque eran fuertes (NO llorando solo haciendo ruidos que no eran más fuertes que ese grupo de personas) el gerente trató con esto excepcionalmente. Solo quería decir que estamos tan agradecidos con la forma en que usted y su personal trataron este asunto, que es un crédito para su restaurante.
Y si la gente que estaba a nuestro lado está leyendo esto, entonces recuerde que puede elegir vivir una vida sin hijos, pero no puede vivir en un mundo sin hijos.
30/07/2025: Restaurant mit schöner Atmosphäre, aufgeteilt in verschiedene Räume in einem Kellergewölbe, ansprechend dekoriert und beleuchtet. Zuvorkommender Service, Speisen sehr lecker.
