08/03/2026: A truly authentic osteria in the heart of Buonconvento. The staff makes you feel right at home right away. We shared a plate of delicious gorgonzola and walnut dumplings, followed by a melt-in-the-mouth Florentine steak, accompanied by two delicious sides (artichokes and potatoes), and finished with a fantastic tiramisu and two local liqueurs recommended by the host. The house wine was also good. Fair prices. We will definitely return if we ever find ourselves in Buonconvento again.

21/02/2026: The restaurant is well-maintained and the service is always prompt. We've been twice and have always had excellent food, with high-quality, authentic dishes.

09/03/2026: I wasn't familiar with this place, but the pictures immediately piqued my interest. The location is truly charming, surrounded by greenery and boasting a breathtaking view. Not to mention the food: the house antipasto, pici with ragù and truffle, tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, and, of course, we couldn't miss out on the meat, with a 1.3 kg buttera. Everything was delicious and a truly excellent value.

You can immediately sense the passion and attention with which the restaurant is run. The dishes are prepared with great care, using high-quality ingredients and impeccably presented. Despite the high quality of the cuisine, the prices remain absolutely affordable—you can eat well here without feeling "ripped off." The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable, perfect for both a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. 08/11/2025: A very well-kept, welcoming place, with qualified and extremely friendly staff. Excellent, plentiful dishes. Prices are more than fair. We live far away, but when we're in the area, it's a regular stop. It's definitely worth it.

26/10/2025: We had lunch with friends at this restaurant and had a really good time. The appetizer was delicious, and the pici with ragù were incredible. They also have a gluten-free menu, which was much appreciated. The desserts were excellent, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. A place where you can eat really well and have a great time!

13/10/2025: A warm and intimate place to sample traditional Tuscan cuisine, a well-rounded mix of seafood and meat. A good wine selection. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

18/07/2025: Fantastische lokatie met uitzicht op Piazza Grande in Arezzo. Groot terras. In de middag een goede cocktail gehad en in de avond een diner. Niet geboekt en we konden meteen terecht, er was tevens herkenning van onze aanwezigheid eerder die dag. Menu is varierend en de opmaak is heel goed - gerechten zijn boven verwachting. Echt een aanrader voor een bezoek aan Arezzo. Wordt aangeschreven als duur maar niet in vergelijking met de menukaart in Noord-west Europa.

11/03/2026: CASALE TUSCANO Tuscany trip. For our dinner, we've booked at Vecchio Casale ai Pioppi, a typical Tuscan trattoria nestled in the heart of the Viareggio countryside. The atmosphere is traditional and elegant, and the waiter is enterprising, sometimes over-the-top, but friendly. First, a bottle of still water and a bottle of red wine. We're going for the classic, a 2022 Chianti DOCG from Azienda L'Erta in Radda - Radda in Chianti (SI). It's delicious. Our dinner can begin with a mixed house antipasto. A series of dishes served in quick (but not too quick) succession. A platter of mixed cold cuts (prosciutto crudo, finocchiona, salami, and coppa), condiglione, a small bowl of flavored olives, crostini with chicken liver pâté, and some melon boats, followed by other hot dishes: zucchini quiche, squares of polenta with mushrooms, another leek quiche, and potato and cheese croquettes. The appetizers were generous, but could be improved. The crostini with pâté and the cold cuts were excellent, paired with an excellent basket of bread and focaccia, but the other dishes were less intriguing, perhaps too vintage. We continued the dinner by sharing a Tagliata served bone-in on a wooden cutting board with a side of baked potatoes. The meat was rare, as we requested, and again, a generous portion; I'd say it was a good dish. We ordered two coffees and the bill. The total cost was €100. Overall, a decent dinner, the abundance was appreciable, but the quality/price ratio was unconvincing.

23/02/2026: Coming back from Piombino, a very convenient location near the motorway exit. The friendly owner, who has some valuable bicycles in his car, let us park near the entrance to keep an eye on them. Fast service, typical Tuscan dishes, and a great atmosphere.

25/02/2026: This was my second visit, in 2026, after 2023. Asians are always directed to seats near the entrance or the closed main gate. If you ask to sit somewhere else, they'll be embarrassed. There are more seats elsewhere. The steak isn't cooked to your liking. Asking for it to be cooked higher yields the same result. But the steak is delicious. So, I've been here a second time. Three people had steak, pasta, salami, and three glasses of wine for 150 euros.

21/02/2026: This evening we were greeted with immense kindness by the owner. Since we hadn't booked, we were really hoping to eat here and enjoy his specialties. We were lucky and found a table for two... the staff welcomed us with immense warmth. The place is very charming and well-kept... I was delighted to try the famous bigoli prepared with a light yet refined and tasty white ragù; as an appetizer, we enjoyed a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, delicious and beautifully presented. The owner greeted us with a biscuit and an excellent local liqueur... truly friendly and kind. We will definitely be back... highly recommended!!! P.S.: Don't forget to book!!

03/11/2025: We were greeted warmly, and the service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent... mmm. 😁 Parapadelle with wild boar ragu... absolutely delicious. Main course for two... Tagliata di Manzo... The meat was simply perfect, just to my taste. I would eat there again in a heartbeat. This restaurant is absolutely underrated. Dogs are allowed.

01/11/2025: Everything was really great...relatively unassuming from the outside, but we were more than pleasantly surprised. We don't understand the bad reviews...fair prices. We ordered a first course, a second course, dessert, and coffee...and wine... We'll definitely be back...Thank you 🌷

02/01/2026: A pleasant evening in Arezzo at this place I wasn't familiar with. Modern and elegant decor, a relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and professional table service, young and motivated staff. The specialty here is fresh pasta. Recommended are the tagliatelle with veal ragù, and the onion soup (fantastic) as an appetizer. Then came the "cavati" with pumpkin and Montemercole pecorino cheese and Grigio del Cessentino bacon. All washed down with two glasses of Syrah. The meal ended beautifully with dessert: rice cake with English cream. Affordable and not overpriced prices, a place suitable for all ages, including families. Ample free parking is available outside. Whether you're in Arezzo on vacation or just passing through, this place is worth a visit. Definitely worth returning to.
