A restaurant with a typical osteria decor.
The menu features classic Venetian cuisine, a much-loved favorite.
Generous and carefully prepared dishes, carefully described by the owner, feature fresh, tasty ingredients.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
The osteria is located very close to the Church of Santa Sofia and about a hundred meters from the Arena gardens.
Reservations are recommended on weekends.

"Very original" is the key word for this restaurant. The waiter might seem a bit austere at first, which could be off-putting, but ultimately proves to be funny and friendly if you appreciate a dry wit. The service seemed slow, but we understood that this is because the owner likes to take the time to chat with the customers.
The food is excellent, authentic, and will push tourists out of their comfort zone when it comes to Italian cuisine, but it's a fantastic discovery. The pasta with anchovies is particularly salty, but we had been warned beforehand. The pasta with white ragù is also delicious.
When it came time to pay, we were offered an excellent grappa, which was much appreciated.
A great experience for anyone looking for a unique atmosphere and to discover authentic regional specialties!

A pleasant Sunday in Padua at this place I wasn't familiar with.
Pleasant and rustic atmosphere, welcoming and bright...
Good table service, kind and courteous staff.
The dishes here are simple and authentic, traditional...
The house appetizers, cured meats and cheese 🧀, are very good, and should be enjoyed with bread 🍞 and accompanied by red wine...
We chose a Malbec throughout the meal, a good house wine...
Moving on to the main courses: Venetian-style liver (good and light, not too heavy) with white polenta, roast veal with Ca'Dorine potatoes, all very good...
The dessert concludes beautifully: a classic Patiencena, without chocolate chips 🍫, very good...
A place suitable for all ages, including families.
Reasonable and not excessive prices.
Whether you're in Padua for the day or just passing through, this place is worth a visit.
Definitely worth returning to...

This evening we were greeted with immense kindness by the owner.
Since we hadn't booked, we were really hoping to eat here and enjoy his specialties. We were lucky and found a table for two... the staff welcomed us with immense warmth.
The place is very charming and well-kept... I was delighted to try the famous bigoli
prepared with a light yet refined and tasty white ragù; as an appetizer, we enjoyed a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, delicious and beautifully presented.
The owner greeted us with a biscuit and an excellent local liqueur... truly friendly and kind. We will definitely be back... highly recommended!!!
P.S.: Don't forget to book!!

Good food, generous portions, and fair prices: excellent value. Service is fast and the waiters are friendly, making for a pleasant experience.
The welcome remains a bit rustic. There's no wine list, and only white or red wine is offered by the glass. Furthermore, seeing the owner stand on a chair to pick up bottles on display doesn't convey a great deal of professionalism.
Overall, I approve, but with a few small improvements.
