24/09/2025: A nice little place to eat on a terrace, just a stone's throw from the historic center. The dishes are high quality; I had a very good stuffed squid. Good value for money.

22/08/2025: I had the pleasure of visiting the masseria during the Ferragosto holiday. It's a charming place surrounded by nature, just outside the city of Palermo, about 30 minutes away. I had a wonderful lunch on Ferragosto, an excellent menu, served by very attentive and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

We stopped in Palermo for a memorable evening in this place known many years ago, where you would queue for hours to get in, where we met the parents and even the grandparents of the current manager......
And where the dishes were exquisite...!!
Our disappointment, regret and displeasure was enormous.. The empty place, the tables without tablecloths, at the table only the children and grandchildren of the manager... We asked for a glass of wine and he showed up with a bottle of "Intrigato", he "recommended" some indefinable cod and octopus appetizers, served in two mini bowls and spaghetti with squid ink obviously diluted with water who knows how many times...
We didn't have the heart to tell him that the food served was truly pitiful, in fact worse..but only for the memory of his poor ancestors..
When it was time to pay the manager however asked us with shameless arrogance 90 euros!!!!
Ninety euros!!!! For 2 mini appetizers and 2 plates of spaghetti!!!
The bottle of Intrigato 26 euros!!!!
His ancestors, grandparents, parents will be turning in their graves for this blatant affront to common sense, an offense to all honest restaurateurs of Palermo, but above all an offense to the exceptional renowned Sicilian culinary art that tonight has suffered a bad blow from this improvised and dishonest menage of self-styled "restaurateurs"..
We are sorry dear "owner" ... but you really asked for it with your disrespectful behavior for your ancestors ... and for us!!

05/10/2025: I went to La Corte dei Mangioni last night. There were 19 of us, including the kids.
A very negative note: we had a reservation for 9:30 PM, and after finally getting seated and ordering, the food was served at 11:25 PM...it was appalling, especially for the kids who couldn't take it anymore. Plus, they didn't serve all the dishes at once.
The pizza was good. As for the sandwiches, we had higher expectations, but instead, we were disappointed. The same goes for the seasoned potatoes. Add to that the fact that, after waiting two hours, some sandwiches arrived burnt and others raw inside...well, it wasn't the best!!! They offered to remake them, but that would have meant waiting I don't know how long, and honestly, NO!!!!
To all this, I must unfortunately add the lack (very little) of courtesy from the girl who served us; she even seemed annoyed and very rude... I'd say politeness comes first! Then, if you understand that people wait two hours for food, at least try to be a little polite and courteous.
We definitely won't be returning!!!
01/10/2025: Inedible Angus steak, served on a hot cutting board that splattered oil all over, mediocre tiramisu... mediocre service. I don't understand how they hold up the 4.5 stars... avoid.

05/10/2025: We had the chef's tasting menu. I certainly expected more refinement from a Michelin-recommended restaurant (Bib Gourmand). The service was rushed and not very personal (probably because no one spoke good English).
The lighting in the restaurant was very bright, which made the atmosphere rather lacking. Palermo has many restaurants where you can dine well, and even better, for less money!
For us, it was a disappointing experience.
04/10/2025: Given the good reviews, we thought we were on the safe side, but instead, the dishes were cold/reheated and the service was sloppy (we had to ask for bread after our food was served, and the attitude was quite apathetic).
The only positive note was the young man who served us the wine.

17/09/2025: Excellent dining experience. We found this restaurant by chance while walking back from the Botanical Gardens. So pleased we went in. The food and service were excellent. Quality of the food was outstanding. Best food we have had in Palermo. Beautiful setting as well. I would highly recommend.
02/09/2025: Located behind Piazza Marina, off the beaten path, this family-run restaurant was a real surprise! The interior is meticulously designed, the staff is friendly and very professional, and, above all, the food is delicious! From the outside, it seems more pretentious than it actually is: prices are in line with the city, and only if you choose a special wine or the off-menu catch of the day can they rise! The tartare of raw shrimp with bottarga is delicious! The first courses are delicious! The only flaw is the limited dessert selection (usually cannoli and tiramisu).

30/06/2025: In zona centrale, entriamo per puro caso, ambiente accogliente, accolti un sorriso, prendiamo due pizze (dai nomi legati alla tradizione letterale sicula). Che dire: fantastiche. Ottima farcitura, impasto soffice e leggero (sinonimo di una adeguata lievitazione), leggera alveatura, cornice elastica e pronta al ritorno. Veramente buone, complimenti. Servizio rapido, prezzi nella norma. Bellissima esperienza.
