17/11/2024: We decided today to have our Sunday lunch at Ruvolo, a friend recommended it to us and we had a really good time. The food is excellent, we took 4 different first courses, with sea urchins, with clams, with salmon and with cuttlefish ink, they were all truly excellent! The owner and daughter are very friendly and helpful, all the staff are friendly. We will be back soon with friends perhaps for dinner.

10/10/2024: Cozy and atmospheric place. Sober and refined. We enjoyed and chose the foods, cooked to perfection. Excellent service and choice of wines.

27/09/2024: Great experience, an extraordinary choice of fresh fish, cooking of your choice, very fair advice for wine without pushing you to take the most expensive, the whole team was attentive and in French please!

15/11/2024: it must be said that up until now I have always loved the arancini at the Turing bar, even though a piece costs €2.50 and for me it is scandalous!!!! but yesterday TRAUMA, I bit into my sausage arancini and found a piece of fat, callus or I don't know what which made me retch and led me to no longer eat!!! furthermore, my beloved arancini with butter no longer taste like anything... I expect more from a place that charges €2.50 per piece (among other things, the price has increased compared to a few weeks ago) NOT GOOD!!!

10/11/2024: Good choice of pastry foods. Only tasted a croissant for breakfast....but they do things that attack your figure. We need to go back.

27/08/2024: Poor experience all around. Lots of staff sitting around chatting and not helping. Ordered 2 dishes to share. The first, eggplant parmigiana was cold. I asked for it to be warmed up and 20 minutes passed before they said it will be ready in another 15 minutes! By then we were ready to pay and leave. The second dish, the cous cous with fish, was extremely disappointing.

27/08/2024: Excellent, authentic and very lively. I particularly recommend the fish dishes, which are really excellent.

05/12/2024: We had an outstanding meal with excellent, friendly service. We were nearly put off by the previous negative reviews but could not disagree with them more. We ordered a pasta course and dessert but in addition to this, the restaurant supplies excellent amuse bouche beforehand, palate cleanser between courses and chocolates after the desert. Given this, it is entirely reasonable to require purchase of two courses.

04/12/2024: Renowned restaurant in the center of Palermo. The place is delightful, next to Palazzo Valguarnera where the famous ball scene in the film The Leopard was filmed. Even the small square in front gives a sense of peace and lived history. The menu, either at a fixed price, both land and sea, or à la carte, offers Sicilian dishes with a contemporary twist. In my opinion, the chef's technique is impeccable, the dishes are balanced between the various ingredients of the highest quality and the balance of flavours, never too overwhelming one over the other, impeccable. Why three stars. The service, although kind, was not convincing, times were not studied, they brought four breadsticks for two people - very good - and only much later the bread. The appetizer, very good, also arrived too long. With the paccheri a Chardonnay was suggested to me which, although discreet, in my opinion did not support the robust flavor of the broccoli and burrata present in the dish. Furthermore, it was served to me without letting me taste it first and without waiting for my consent. So, if I wanted to change it or it wasn't to my liking, I still would have had to keep it. Finally, I must admit that the prices are not justified by a restaurant which, although interesting, has worthy and certainly superior competitors in the area, where you can find equally interesting proposals but at decidedly more affordable prices. In other words, this place is really very far from being able to aspire to any star. Reply: After six years he's right, it doesn't make much sense to answer me. On the other hand, I'm sorry that it was a superficial reading. The question of the star is posed at the end. Even if I hadn't talked about it, the sense of unjustified prices and valid alternatives at more affordable prices in Palermo doesn't change. You see, it makes little sense to respond to a criticism with a further criticism of the criticism. Communication has its rules, like in the kitchen. You accept that you were not, then, up to the prices you imposed. I repeat, there was better. With or without stars and despite the many positive points already highlighted. 02/12/2024: Siamo arrivati tardi in 15 senza prenotazione, ci hanno accolto con arancine fritte al momento e della pasta, anche quella fatta al momento con sughi di quattro tipi ..stratosferici.. ed alla fine una buona granita di arance. Prezzo molto buono. Consiglio x la qualità del cibo e la gentilezza dei proprietari ed anche x la semplicità del posto pare di stare a casa

10/12/2024: Cozy place in the center of Palermo. Impeccable service. The starters and first courses were excellent, especially the linguine with bottarga, which were also plentiful. I recommend it to enjoy the special Palermo cuisine.

28/10/2024: At least as far as the restaurant part is concerned, we didn't have a good time at all, endless waiting times (even just to get the menus), a well-kept and characteristic environment, good food but nothing special...the only restaurant we went to and for coming last were the children's dishes; to appreciate instead are the breadsticks, bread and croissants that are brought to the table included in the cover charge

20/12/2024: Lugar con ambiente muy siciliano para comer platos auténticamente locales. Recomendable como entrante el Tagliere di Mangia&Bevi y el Sedanini alla norma

15/12/2024: Un fine settimana di dicembre trascorso a Palermo con la mia lei,cercando un locale che soddisfava le peculiarità del posto e osservare la qualità -prezzo che non dispiace con le giuste ricerche ho scelto questo locale è siamo stati contenti della scelta

15/08/2024: Abbiamo prenotato in questo locale per la nostra ultima sera a Palermo e vivere appieno l’atmosfera tipica della città. Siamo arrivate in orario come da prenotazione e ci siamo accomodate. Sono trascorsi circa 45 minuti prima che, dopo aver sollecitato, venissero a prenderci almeno l’ordinazione (e ci portassero almeno l’acqua). A seguito delle nostre lamentele la cena è stata servita in tempi molto rapidi e tutto era ottimo; questo è indiscutibile: porzioni abbondanti e cucina autentica. Non merita 5 stelle per la disorganizzazione generale del locale: i camerieri erano pochi e chiaramente esausti, seppure attenti a soddisfare le esigenze di tutti e a sentire le lamentele generali. Tutto si è svolto sotto l’occhio vigile della signora all’ entrata nonché proprietaria, che “dirige il traffico” e riempie i tavoli senza sosta. Capiamo che i prezzi che propongono non li sì trova più da nessuna parte, ma per fare le cose male e far attendere anche chi prenota in anticipo, sarebbe meglio rivedere l’organizzazione generale. I camerieri comunque simpaticissimi.

15/08/2024: Sono venuta a conoscenza di questa osteria tramite la pubblicità che fanno suo social,che dire tutto molto buono dagli antipasti ai secondi, personale gentile e a disposizione del cliente per qualunque cosa chiedi sui piatti con tutte le spiegazioni,ottimi i prezzi e porzioni abbondanti posto che consiglio da provare assolutamente

30/11/2024: Locale elegante , nel centro storico di Palermo , camerieri gentili ,cibo ottimo sia i primi che il pesce fritto e i dolci per finire.

23/11/2024: On s’y sent bien, bon ressenti, accueil sympathique. Bon repas de pâtes sans chichi, mais bon, on va à l’essentiel. J’apprécie le petit apéritif offert avec la foccacia, très convivial.

22/08/2024: Siamo andati a cena lì casualmente, perché passando davanti al ristorante ci era piaciuto. In verità è stata una scoperta perché la qualità dei prodotti la fa da leone (mentre molti pensano a spennare il turista, che poi non tornerà). Lo si sente da come tagliano il pesce in una storica insalata di mare o da come prepara un’impepata di cozze fantastica. Lo si sente dal servizio familiare e dai tempi di attesa della trattoria. Si capisce così che la lunga tradizione accesa nel 1951 è ancora attuale e viva. E noi preghiamo perché i titolari possano proseguire una storia di grande pregio e doti.

27/07/2024: Ho avuto il piacere di cenare al Ristorante Gigi Mangia, situato nel cuore di Palermo, in occasione del quarantesimo compleanno del mio migliore amico, e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Il pesce era freschissimo e preparato con grande maestria. Ogni piatto era un’esplosione di sapori. Un piatto che ci ha particolarmente colpito è stata l’arancina con frutti di mare e gambero rosso, semplicemente buonissima. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale attento e cordiale. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a chiunque ami il pesce e desideri passare una bella serata.
