17/06/2025: The best restaurant we've been to in Palermo! Delicious food, great service, and wonderful wine recommendations.

08/06/2025: Yesterday evening began with an unpleasant inconvenience: despite having communicated in advance the change of the reservation time, we received a call from the restaurant in which, in rather irritated tones, we were "reprimanded" for not having informed the restaurant of the change of time. Despite this, the staff was polite when we arrived. The first criticality concerned the position of the table, wedged in a narrow room of the restaurant, in which there was not physically enough space to allow the passage of the waiting staff, so much so that we were forced to pass glasses and plates between us. The service began with three entrées, including a simple sfincione, which in my opinion had nothing interesting in terms of taste. Subsequently, a slice of bread was served (I assume they made it because it was not specified to us), breadsticks and some savoury puff pastries, accompanied by an olive mayonnaise. Although everything was excellent, it was a shame that they were served cold, they would certainly have been even more enjoyable if they were hot. I found the mayonnaise truly exceptional. The appetizers followed, truly enjoyable both aesthetically and in terms of taste; I personally had the oysters, a concentrate of seafood flavor. The only problem to report concerns the service, which did not occur at the same time for everyone (in fact, one appetizer arrived ten minutes after the others). As for the first courses, the black ravioli proved to be a real delight for the palate with a sophisticated and balanced flavor; I cannot say the same for the pasta with garlic and oil with shrimp tartare, which I found insipid and heavy. At the end of the dinner we were served the small pastries, appreciated but not surprising.

27/06/2025: I ordered the risotto cozze and it was delicious and very fresh! As appetizers, we ordered the street food in order to get the flavor of Palermo Street food! Yummy, Yummy! Customer service is great and familiar with us! We really highly recommend it! I'm coming back for sure! The other cool thing is that the restaurant is located just in front of a Sundays flea market!!!

28/06/2025: The only place to eat Arancini. Self service, there may be a line but it moves very quickly. Delicious and the portions are quite large. The eggplant and classic ones are very delicious.

04/05/2025: Excellent Japanese route. Excellent service. Disappointment on the wine. We paid a glass of wine €10 and then found the same wine on sale at deco for €4.69 (Nicosia Grillo estate 898)

05/06/2025: A restaurant/pizzeria in the historic center of Palermo in a central pedestrian street. It is run by 3 brothers who respectively take care of the kitchen, the pizzeria, the dining room, therefore highly specialized. Traditional restaurant that offers historic and more modern dishes with the most appropriate techniques and excellent raw materials. No gourmet cuisine. We tried the pizzeria, awarded by 50 Top Pizza and Gambero Rosso. Special flours for multiple types of dough, traditional, modern, Roman pizzas and the ruoto di Cagliostro with a technique that makes it very soft. Worth trying.

21/05/2025: Wonderful restaurant, not a tourist restaurant, it is an option for those who live in Palermo. The owners are always present and very friendly, and the waiters are attentive. The dishes were amazing both times we were there. We ate very well. I recommend it.

14/06/2025: Non voglio spendere tante parole perché chi gestisce il locale ne ha spese ancor meno per le mie esigenze. Chiedo la pizza per mio figlio così da poter far mangiare prima lui e dopo noi e vengo preso in giro dicendo che la pizza di mio figlio era in forno, e invece dopo 20 minuti, ordiniamo io e mia moglie e stranamente ci portano le pizze tutte assieme. Morale della favola Il gestore del locale decide le esigenze familiari, mentendo sul fatto che la pizza del bambino verrà preparata prima, e quindi te la serve dopo 20 minuti assieme alle altre due perché a lui sta bene così. Grazie signor gestore per poter decidere le nostre esigenze familiari, ma sa le famiglie con un bimbo di 2 anni che escono e si recano in un locale, cercano magari di rilassarsi, chiedendo soltanto la pizza del bambino così da poterlo farlo mangiare e poi le nostre, in modo tale da far mangiare lui e poi noi tranquillamente goderci la pizza. Ah dimenticavo il suo personale é gentilissimo e come leggo dalle recensioni non sono l’unico che si lamenta di questo atteggiamento. Poi non so se lei vuole un ristorante prettamente per NON FAMIGLIE, ma sa un bimbo di 2 anni avrebbe bisogno di un seggiolone, non avere un solo seggiolone in tutto il ristorante mi sembra un po’ un modo per non volere proprio noi con piccoletti. Ringraziamo il personale gentilissimo che ha saputo darci attenzioni e scusarsi dell’accaduto. Buon weekend

08/06/2025: Per essere un locale storico mi aspettavo di più, piatti abbastanza anonimi, spaghetti alle vongole veraci senza un guscio presente, pasta con le sarde con un sapore troppo presente di finocchietto… Conto nella norma, servizio buono.

07/06/2025: Questa trattoria di antica tradizione e da noi frequentata anni fa ha perso totalmente le sue buone caratteristiche. Abbiamo ordinato una caponata di melanzane che al posto di queste aveva solo cipolla,la pasta con le sarde, una decina di bucatini,non aveva nessuna sarda ma solo il sapore; il fritto di mare salatissimo,la carne discreta,così come i desserts;il locale non possiede la carta dei vini,pertanto la scelta e il relativo costo è a fortuna.Discreto il servizio.

We thoroughly enjoyed a dinner full of local flavours, traditionally prepared and presented with care. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain the dishes and wines – something that made the evening extra special. The atmosphere is both authentic and refined, ideal for a relaxing evening out. An absolute must for those who want to taste real Sicilian cuisine, with a modern twist and a warm welcome. 01/06/2025: Un’autentica esperienza di gusto nella tradizione La Masseria di Salvo è molto più di un semplice ristorante: è un viaggio nei sapori autentici della cucina tradizionale, in un’atmosfera calda e accogliente che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il locale è curato, rustico ma elegante, immerso nel verde e perfetto sia per una cena romantica che per un pranzo in famiglia o con amici. Il personale è gentile, attento e appassionato, sempre pronto a raccontare la storia dei piatti e a consigliare al meglio. La cucina è il vero punto di forza: ogni piatto è preparato con ingredienti freschissimi, molti dei quali a km 0. Le porzioni sono generose, i sapori intensi ma equilibrati, e la presentazione curata senza mai essere eccessiva. Antipasti misti da sogno, primi della tradizione eseguiti con maestria e secondi che sanno davvero di casa. Da non perdere i dolci fatti in casa, semplicemente deliziosi! Un posto in cui si torna volentieri, perché sa di vero. Complimenti allo chef e a tutto lo staff per la passione che mettono ogni giorno nel loro lavoro.

24/06/2025: Away from the tourist crowds, the service is very attentive and pleasant. You can tell this is a family business, run with passion. The appetizers, pasta, and fish were all delicious. If I lived here, this restaurant would be one of my regulars.

15/06/2025: Hidden gem with very tasty food. We visited this beautiful restaurant with a view of the cathedral several times. Very good caponata, caponata con spada, very fresh cozze, delicious pasta con ricci, spaghetti scoglio and great fish. Very nice hosts and great service.
