22/02/2025: Cada detalle de este restaurante es cuidadosamente considerado para hacer la noche muy especial. El gerente era muy amable, hablaba excelente inglés y estaba muy bien informado sobre la comida y los vinos. El restaurante está ubicado en un antiguo edificio renovado con hermosa iluminación y decoración. Jazz ligero tocado para complementar el escenario. La comida era deliciosa y muy bien presentada. Normalmente optamos por platos de carne y aunque en el menú había ternera y cerdo deliciosos, nos centramos principalmente en mariscos y pescados. Mi besugo fue cocinado a la perfección, que es tan difícil de encontrar en muchos restaurantes. Todos nuestros vinos fueron obtenidos en Sicilia y complementaron la comida perfectamente. Una velada muy agradable y muy recomendable como uno de mis restaurantes favoritos en Sicilia.

15/02/2025: I can't judge the chef's cuisine, but only the Japanese format proposed in February. For me it doesn't live up to the reputation of the restaurant. I expected much much more. The highlight, in my opinion, was the ramen. The rest is a bit disappointing

02/02/2025: Abbiamo provato l'esperienza del Japanese pop-up restaurant, avendo nostalgia dei sapori provati in Giappone ed è stata ottima: abbiamo ritrovato i sapori autentici della cucina giapponese. Tutti i piatti sono stati descritti sapientemente, bellissima la scelta di cucinare in sala il Wagyu per mano dello chef Matsuguma (manzo davvero eccellente con una salsa deliziosa!). Grazie alla chef Di Benedetto che ha portato questi splendidi sapori a Palermo!

18/03/2025: We had a great experience! The food was great! Sea Bream is a must try imo, so is the clam pasta! They have gluten free options, which is a big plus for us! When we got in (lunch time), it was packed with locals. Which was a great sign. We were not disappointed. We would come back to try other dishes, if we have enough time.

The scent of the wood-fired oven, the authentic flavor of the genuine ingredients and the smile of those who welcome you make the difference. It's nice to know that places like Il Baro exist, where every detail is taken care of with passion and where every bite tells a story of quality and tradition. Highly recommended!!!

09/03/2025: Totally overrated place. None of the dishes was tasty enough. Medium rare ordered beef fillet came medium cooked and those ordered medium came as medium well. The meat quality was average. Only the bakery stuff was delicious and that’s it. Big disappointment.

18/03/2025: We had a wonderful lunch at Osteria Ballarò. Extraordinary dishes, spectacular setting and the waiter very kind and friendly. If we happen to return to Palermo we will definitely come back here.

16/03/2025: The place is very nice, tastefully furnished, bright and spacious. The food is decent, but the service leaves something to be desired. We had to ask for parmesan three times for our little girl's pasta with tomato sauce. It arrived when the pasta was almost finished. Finally, the prices are excessive.

The pasta alla Norma was a revelation, showcasing the simple yet profound flavors of Sicilian cuisine. The fried cod fish was equally exquisite, light, and perfectly cooked. Even our children, who can be picky eaters, devoured their crispy fries and delicious pizza. What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional wine recommendation. The staff's knowledge and passion for local wines were evident, and the bottle they suggested paired perfectly with our meal. We were so impressed that we brought a bottle home to savor the memory. Sapurito Cucina Povera e Pizza is a true gem in Palermo. The food is authentic, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is charming. 12/03/2025: Cold fried, fried quizá how many hours ago, cold appetizer from the refrigerator, heavy and salty pasta....to finish... Dark chocolate cake heated in the microwave oven. Very bad. Unfortunately the trattorias in Palermo are dying, here's the proof. The waiter was very friendly and helpful though.... At least that.

20/03/2025: Eher zufällig sind wir auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Die Gegend ist wohltuend untouristisch, aber das hat ja gerade seinen Reiz. Das Essen war typisch mit den sizilianischen Spezialitäten. Und mit dem Chef kommt man gern ins Plaudern. Das gibt es nicht mehr so oft.

23/02/2025: We booked at this farmhouse at 12.00 after visiting the Cefalá Diana spa. They immediately took our reservation and seated us upon our arrival at a beautiful table set next to the lit fireplace. Very pleasant, well-kept location with lovely outdoor spaces, inside the cloister there is also a small church. We ate very well and went without even asking what was on the menu and above all not even knowing the cost. The kind and very polite staff also asked us if we had any intolerances or allergies and during lunch I even saw that they served something vegetarian to a customer. Much appreciated we will be back.

24/01/2025: L'antica Masseria è un luogo incantevole immerso nel verde della campagna siciliana a pochi km da Palermo, subito dopo il paese di Bolognetta sulla Pa/Ag. Qualche domenica fa, insieme a un gruppo di amici, siamo stati lì a pranzo. È andata benissimo, tutto perfetto e curato nei minimi dettagli. Gli antipasti vari, abbondanti e saporiti, i primi eccezionali e i secondi con contorno di verdura e patate buonissimi. Il dolce alla ricotta fresca mi ha colpito per la sua bontà e gusto come anche il buccellato fatto in casa. Tra gli antipasti, tutti ottimi, ho chiesto il bis della montarina fritta con la mortadella e sono stata accontentata da un cameriere gentilissimo. Il servizio è stato veloce e il personale come sempre molto cordiale. Il vino della casa compreso nel costo del menù come anche i liquori digestivi e il caffè danno un tocco caratteristico alla cornice idilliaca del posto. Dopo pranzo ho preso il sole in giardino e ho avuto la possibilità di passare un pò di tempo a contatto con la natura in una atmosfera rilassante e rigenerante. Che posto meraviglioso. Non vedo l'ora di ritornare. Grazie.
