06/04/2024: I arrived 5 minutes before the restaurant opened. The kind, quick and helpful waiters gave us the opportunity to move from the terrace where it was cold to the restaurant; the place is a bit crowded but very familiar. The menu is not very explicit, but the waitress directed us to the ordered pasta. They were tasty, as were the drinks. You can pay by card.

07/04/2024: Very rude, almost indifferent to customers who that are not Italian. When speaking to the host, had a hand put in my face because another member of staff spoke to him mid sentence. Was tapped on the shoulder aggressively and pointed towards a free table. Threw plates down on the table, beer not pulled to a full glass. Tomato sauce bland and tasteless, meat balls fatty and over cooked to a firm texture . We love Italy and Sicilian culture but was shocked by the poor service, attitude and quality of food. Good city centre location but as I have highlighted very poor service and attitude to customers. I say this as someone who is familiar with Italian approach to relaxed dining but frankly poor in comparison to many places in Palermo and the island of Sicily.

05/04/2024: Homemade Sicilian cuisine. Good, normal, but nothing exceptional. Suitable for those who want to eat as if they were at their grandmother's house or bring guests from abroad to try typical things. Strange thing: the house wine was very light, I had the suspicion it was a little watered down (but I'm not a sommelier to be able to say for sure).

06/04/2024: Where to start from? When we did the reservation, we received an email stating that if we are more than 10 minutes late, they will give the table to someone else, which is fair. But in contrast, they opened 5 minutes later than they announced. It's also okay but it's a matter of principle. The service was good and the team was helpful. But the dinning experience was average at best. We took the 6-course surprise menu. Which eventually was comprised of one plate of raw fish (where some pieces where still equipped with sharp spines and some scales), another simple salad also with raw fish (which was so uninteresting except that the tomato was very good), then grilled cheese with also fish, then Calamari pasta with squid ink (which was way too saucy and fishy), then a fish head ( which was not well cooked). I expected a conflicting food experience but we good all sea food plates which was overload. I thought none of the dishes، except the squid pasta، was innovative enough. Other than the food, when we got the white wine bottle, we had to ask for a cooling container. The table has this paper sheets placed in front of each person which gives a feeling of eating in fast food places. And finally the men toilet has no lock.

06/04/2024: I regret leaving a negative review, but I advise you to avoid Buatta. This is a restaurant that has no spark, neither at the level of the staff (who don't seem to care at all about either the customers or the menu) nor the level of the cuisine (poorly cooked dishes). You will eat better and be more welcomed in any Palermo trattoria rather than this restaurant which claims to be haute cuisine but which lives off its reputation.

02/04/2024: I was at your restaurant for lunch and I ordered a Margherita pizza which I found special and delicious. It is not an easy pizza to make, in my opinion, like other pizzas because just a few ingredients are enough to make it palatable and I found them just right. It was truly a "lady" pizza. A compliment to the staff for their courtesy and to the pizza chef. I will definitely come again. W mondello and the Calogero restaurant.
