03/06/2025: Truly amazing experience! Absolutely delicious seafood ! Everything tasted great and presented beautifully! My first ever experience of trying amberjack fish and it was cooked to perfection . Nice wine . Place was packed with people . Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals . Luckily we managed to sit outside, so please book in advance.

28/06/2025: Feeling at home but immersed in a simply enchanting setting from another time. You can breathe in the history of the city and, looking at the wall with all those photos (from Michelle Hunziker to Adriano Galliani, I could write an endless list) I understand even more why this restaurant has been the history of Palermo since 1890. Balanced dishes that respect the gastronomic tradition without falling into useless exercises in style, with some small ideas from chef Gaetano that are well suited to the DNA of the Casa del brodo. Well-calibrated service, Andrea a really easy-going guy, kind, very nice and skilled in his work; Marisa, Gaetano's wife, who knows how to make people feel at home. Any other word would be superfluous in my opinion: try it!

14/06/2025: Non voglio spendere tante parole perché chi gestisce il locale ne ha spese ancor meno per le mie esigenze. Chiedo la pizza per mio figlio così da poter far mangiare prima lui e dopo noi e vengo preso in giro dicendo che la pizza di mio figlio era in forno, e invece dopo 20 minuti, ordiniamo io e mia moglie e stranamente ci portano le pizze tutte assieme. Morale della favola Il gestore del locale decide le esigenze familiari, mentendo sul fatto che la pizza del bambino verrà preparata prima, e quindi te la serve dopo 20 minuti assieme alle altre due perché a lui sta bene così. Grazie signor gestore per poter decidere le nostre esigenze familiari, ma sa le famiglie con un bimbo di 2 anni che escono e si recano in un locale, cercano magari di rilassarsi, chiedendo soltanto la pizza del bambino così da poterlo farlo mangiare e poi le nostre, in modo tale da far mangiare lui e poi noi tranquillamente goderci la pizza. Ah dimenticavo il suo personale é gentilissimo e come leggo dalle recensioni non sono l’unico che si lamenta di questo atteggiamento. Poi non so se lei vuole un ristorante prettamente per NON FAMIGLIE, ma sa un bimbo di 2 anni avrebbe bisogno di un seggiolone, non avere un solo seggiolone in tutto il ristorante mi sembra un po’ un modo per non volere proprio noi con piccoletti. Ringraziamo il personale gentilissimo che ha saputo darci attenzioni e scusarsi dell’accaduto. Buon weekend

10/07/2025: Lovely midsize restaurant a short distance from Via Labertà in a nice neighborhood. Clean, calm and attractive interior with prompt professional service and a wonderful menu. The food is very good, and the prices very reasonable! I wish I was hungrier when I went in! I shall return.

05/07/2025: Quite hidden gem, I’ve been in Italy many times and a big fan of Italian food. First time in Palermo, we found this cute small place, close to the Via Maqueda, but away from the crowd part. Service was amazing, food delicious and good prices. Highly recommended. 5/5

27/06/2025: I ordered the risotto cozze and it was delicious and very fresh! As appetizers, we ordered the street food in order to get the flavor of Palermo Street food! Yummy, Yummy! Customer service is great and familiar with us! We really highly recommend it! I'm coming back for sure! The other cool thing is that the restaurant is located just in front of a Sundays flea market!!!

29/06/2025: The Eremiti di Sicilia tavern is a nice restaurant that you will find in the alleys of old Palermo, a few steps from the church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, a Norman jewel. We had busiate alla norma, revisited with the addition of a burattina. The dish is pleasant but I would have remained faithful to the traditional recipe. The mezzepccheri alla trapanese are very good. The roast alla palermitana is good.

17/06/2025: Great kitchen, family owned restaurant. Just the best ingredients in every serve. In other restaurants in this town we payed more, and quality wasn’t as good by far.

14/06/2025: Location and food very nice. Attitude of the grumpy senior waiter (? Owner) was unnecessary and unpleasant to us and to a junior employee. No need to be unpleasant. You let yourself down just because you don’t like tourists even though one if us is an Italian…. But you didn’t spend any time to find out! Shame on you!

06/06/2025: Stopped in for lunch as we just got into Palermo and the food was very good. We were pleased with the taste of our food. and for the Service and the kindness being new to the area. I highly suggest stopping in for some lunch or dinner ! Mangia !!

05/05/2025: Spectacular pastas, the babà with rum, cream and strawberries is nothing short of sensational, strictly with freshly squeezed orange juice. Excellent quality even for a quick lunch, swordfish carpaccio, Venere rice, arancina with meat sauce or cheese are really good but there is also much more. Very chaotic and noisy environment but the staff is friendly and helpful.

23/06/2025: We ate at this restaurant twice. The first time as a couple when we first arrived, the second time for dinner with 19 other people. The food is excellent and plentiful, the prices are good. Special note for the staff, friendly, smiling and above all able to advise on the food. Thanks for everything. Highly recommended.

11/06/2025: Very pleasant location, in shades of white. Helpful and courteous staff. Excellent food. I will excuse the fans of bon ton but it was impossible not to mop up the bread! 😜. Waiting times from ordering are quite short. Absolutely recommended if you want to savor the true taste of Sicilian cuisine 🤤

04/07/2025: On the advice of our friends we went to the Pirandello restaurant after visiting the Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino museum a few hundred meters away. The two owners were very welcoming and good company. The food was all delicious, the first courses were enormous, there must have been 150/200 grams of pasta, excellent and with quality sauce.

04/07/2025: With the family we went to lunch at this restaurant following the other reviews and we did very well. Typical Sicilian dishes excellently cooked at low prices. Definitely abundant portions and exquisitely hospitable staff.

16/06/2025: The best food we've had in Sicily so far! Very high-quality ingredients. The service is very friendly. A bit pricey, but worth every cent!
